We had originally hoped to stay in Arcos, but the bank holiday meant there wasn't anywhere appropriate to stay in town. That was to be fortuitous as we plumped for Cortijo Mesa de la Plata. The main part is a lovely courtyard with the bar, restaurant and some rooms around the side. Our rooms (we were two couples) were in... More

Nice, good and friendly atmosphere in this cortijo. We got a very friendly welcome and got upgraded to a larger room probably because it is not very crowded. The cottage we got is decorated in a very Spanish way and wide. The view on arcos from the pool side is superb. It is a good walk to arcos and a... More

We spent two nights here in July 2013 and were greeted by friendly receptionist that welcomed us to the hotel and even though very hot showed us the pool and told us about the hotel amenities. Room was typical rustic type with oak beams, very comfortable bed and good quality toiletries, fridge in the room for our cava and water.... More

On arrival we walked through the splendid typically Spanish courtyard and made our way to the reception. We were made most welcome, told our room number and the room was pointed out to us as we could see it from reception. We were also then offered free tickets to see the Andalucian horses in Jerez. We spent 4 nights at... More

We arrived at the property on Sunday afternoon. There was no formal reception area so we enquired at the bar about the room. The owner was quite 'merry' already and did not expect our booking. We registered, collected the key and she kept our passports until evening as they were unable to change the cartridge in their copier/printer. (We later... More

With wonderful views over the town of Arcos de la Frontera we spent a quiet night in our own littl bungalow. The food was good home cooking and the staff were very attentive. This is a great little place to stay whilst touring the area.

“As far as I know all rooms are ground floor. We have room 10 which was at front and closests to the car park and road but no noise heard at all.”

“Ask for a room in the courtyard building featured in the photographs. It's close to the bar/restaurant and you will be close to where the proprietors hang-out. Do not book these apartments through hotels.com (usually pre-paid) as the owners will be confused as the booking will come to them as Venere.com (post-paid)”
