We have stayed here most years since 2002 on way to Scandinavia. Convenient half way break at pleasant and clean hotel, run by family for many years. Now under new management with new staff and modernised but rather reduced menu in the restaurant and gone is the fantastic wine list of German wines. Friendly staff and good breakfast spread. 4... Stayed here en route to Rotterdam. The hotel is situated on a very busy junction and traffic noise is tremendous. The room we were in had a musty smell and the wifi didn't work. Breakfast ok but once again traffic noise made for a swift meal.

A quintessential family run, small, German boutique hotel. Full of character, great food, spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, great shower. What more can you ask? Staff were courteous and efficient. Food was piping hot, delicious, and in very generous proportions. We stayed overnight whilst driving from Denmark to catch the ferry in Holland and wanted to break the journey. It's... More

The hotel is in a cute little town. If you decide to stay here, you need a car to get around, There was a mix up with our booking and the staff was very kind and did not hesitate to upgrade us for free. The only complaints we had was that after 9pm there was little or no hot water... More

Hollenstedter Hof was a pleasant and welcoming place, handy for the autobahn but also for country lanes. The rooms were not air-conditioned which normally would not be a problem in this part of Europe, but we had a few days at over 34C so sleep was affected. My room was spacious and quiet enough with just the historic church a... More

Lovely hotel whit friendly and helpful staff. Great place for "base camp" when you want whit car or motorbike to explore the area. Popular biker hotel and close to great riding routes. The owner can give good tips for route. The rooms are clean, restaurant and breakfast buufet are good and the place is free private parking.

Clean and efficient hotel close to main road. Very efficient and friendly staff. Their big secret? The excellent restaurant. Visited by motor bikers and clubs of owners of jaguar cars. Not to worry about: They keep calm and make almost no noise. Nice room but poor internet (not free). Parking close to the hotel. Town does not offer much more... More
