The worst holiday experience of my life, it's our penultimate day here and I just can't wait to vent my anger about this place. To the staff it feels like you are in their way nobody says hello. Zero table service, even at the so called "restaurants" you need to book into, last night we went to the Italian and that was self service, and like all the food here it's stone cold just horrible and stone cold. No bed sheet changes. No tea coffee facilities in room. All the staff do is clear up after you they never bring anything to you. The food is boring and tasteless. We have been a week on Marella cruise before arriving and it's been a significant major step down in quality in every department from food to service to drinks quality to entertainment it's truly shocking and think off all the swear words you can say and that describes the Tapaiba hotel, we were pampered on the cruise now it's a all hands on deck free for all at meals. We are so called " all inclusive" make that "all exclusive" as to have the premium drinks ie a bottle of Heineken costs over €4... and wait even if you upgrade to premium gold "all exclusive" you still need to pay over €2 for a bottle of Heineken, so they have you all ways in pure greed ie all inclusive then upgrade to premium costing more money and even then pay more every time you have a drink that I would class as basic ie a bottle of Heineken. It's shocking beyond any description or level of understanding. I'm so upset and simply cannot wait to get back to cold England away from what is a crap form of a 2 Star hotel akin to blackpool, but blackpool would be better in the summertime let me tell you. Our last night tonight is ment to be in the booked "restaurant " in the Asian one, but I simply cannot face another night of self served cold food, so we off to town. If you are after peace there is none of that here just tripping over baby prams at every which way you turn and screaming running children everywhere you go...take ear plugs for meals I'd say. The adults only section is so small and you need to be there before 9am to get a sun lounger as they fill up quick, but you miss breakfast. On the website TUI sells this hotel as FIVE star but outside the hotel it says 4 Star but really it's 3 star as you will never ever get served a meal to your table here. We were conned and tricked. I do not accept mediocrity when I pay for so called "all inclusive" it's repulsive and disgusting. We will never ever set foot in this awful place ever ever again , and it's a shame as it's actually a nice hotel physically but the lack of quality in food in service and drinks and entertainment is shocking beyond any form of description in the English languish without resorting to swearing.ranting does not make me feel any better. We have been everywhere ie Egypt Cape Verde and Dom Repuplic... gone all inclusive and it's been all inclusive, but this is all exclusive cheap food drink and entertainment for a high price AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Lovely hotel, stayed twice before and the Tabiba was all inclusive and the side we stayed in was the Maspalomas side which was half board, they have changed it now to total all inclusive personally I think the standard of food has dropped, it was nice food but very bland, plus it is very children orientated which spoiled it for us, there were plenty of pools which were especially for children, the children were using all the pools which spoiled it for people who wanted a peaceful time round the pool, there was an adults only pool but this was very small and found it very hard to get there, they have a booking schedule for your breakfast and evening meal which I think is crazy, never had to do this before, there was no need to book because there was always room.

Overall a lovely hotel, very well looked after and spotlessly cleaned. The staff at kids club were fab with the children and there was always plenty of sun beds. The only downside would be the pre-booking breakfast and dinner timeslot as we prefer to decide throughout the day or when we get up in the morning. However there was always plenty of time slots and generally easy to change except for around 6.30- 7.30 which was usually full. The upgrade in band was not worth the additional money in our opinion however this is just down to choice and if you will be drinking the premium drinks. There is good choice on tap/machines. The room could have done with a kettle to make a cup of tea/coffee in the morning as there was no-where to get one from unless you went down to breakfast. We had a lovely stay and would go back as a family.

This is my seventh visit to the Princess Maspalomas / Tabaiba (my third on the Tabaiba side). There is a separate listing for reviews for the Maspalomas. I was welcomed by Vicenzo at Reception and it does make a big difference to have someone at Reception who does actually make you feel welcome. I had a 'Junior Suite' which overlooked the storm gully, getting the sun until midday (this is in November). No charge for the safe. A large bottle of water provided on arrival, and later on, a box of chocolates and two small bottles of sangria. Lots of English-speaking channels including the BBC. The refurbished bathroom had a walk-in shower with a rain shower and an adjustable handheld shower. The toiletries included a toothbrush, shaving kit and bars of soap. The adults only pool area was a pleasant place to spend the day. The staff at the bar were cheerful and friendly. Food and drink available all day from various outlets. There is a pharmacy and a doctor available, and a 'mini market' shop. There are also some boutique shops in the Boulevard, plus a place where you can hire bikes and e-scooters. I could not pick up WiFi in the room and I did have trouble reconnecting on a couple of occasions. The staff at Reception were helpful in re-establishing the connection. In my previous reviews I always had a bit of a moan about the restaurant being so noisy and busy, and having to queue. Maybe it's being better managed now, but this time, I had a better experience. I thought the food was quite good (and usually hot!) but the desserts were disappointing and sometimes not replenished so that there wasn't much left to choose from. I had stayed at three previous hotels (including the Princess Gran Canaria) and this was the only hotel where loaves (or baguettes) of bread for slicing were sometimes available. I booked one evening at the Italian restaurant. I was escorted to a table and waited to be served a drink. The restaurant had a pleasant ambience. As nobody came, I took a look at the food on offer and decided I was better off in the main restaurant. The hotel could do with a decent library. There's just a pile of books behind the TUI desk. As my stay came to an end, I didn't want to leave. I hope to return. I like the location, although it may be a bit remote for some, as it's quite a walk to the beach and the promenade where the shops and cafes are.

We have just returned from a lovely weeks holiday. We are fortunate enough to be able to get away at least a couple of times a year and can honestly say this is probably the cleanest most well presented hotels we have been to. Check in was quick and the rooms were immaculate with great furnishings and very roomy. FOOD For an all inclusive the food was really nice with plenty of choice. Please don't take too much notice of one of the recent reviews re the food, we had no complaints whatsoever. Eggs cooked to order however you wanted them. You can have anything from full English, continental, fruit , cereal. Lunch and evening meals were varied with different meats and fish freshly cooked. The deserts were especially good. When you stay for a week you can eat at the Asian and Italian restaurants, the Asian one was really nice with very authentic food and well worth the visit, The Italian in our opinion though was very disappointing, we wished we had eaten in the main restaurant as there was much more choice. Booking for breakfast and evening meals is no problem and helps to avoid long queues and changing times is no problem. DRINKS We stuck with the standard all inclusive and the drinks were absolutely fine.Beer, wine and soft drinks were self serve which is great and the bar staff are very efficient and friendly serving spirits etc. The cocktails from the machines are quite sugary but much better when served from over the counter. POOLS We only used the adults only area which was lovely and never a problem getting a bed. The other pools around the hotel looked great with plenty of beds. The pool was heated if a little on the chilly side. ENTERTAINMENT We mainly stayed around the TERAZZA bar in the evening where the entertainment team did wonders getting lots of people up dancing. Everything shuts down at 11pm but you can still sit around in the bar area, just remember to get some last minute drinks as the bar shuts at 12 and all Incl stops at 11. SURROUNDING AREA The one negative regarding this hotel is where the hotel is situated. There is nothing in the way of bars if you want a change of scenery near the hotel. Moleneras is about a half hour walk away with plenty of restaurants but not much else. We did pop into Playa Del Ingles but was very disappointed. If you want a lovely relaxing holiday with friendly attentive staff and nice food you won't go far wrong here.

Top marks to the staff here who were professional and efficient while also being friendly, they all looked happy to be working there, which is a good sign. The amenities were all as described above, no complaints whatsoever. My only quibble is that my partner and myself were given a room with a regular double bed while our single friends all had rooms with king sized beds. Why?

Dear DirtyPJ, Thank you for your excellent review of your stay at the Tabaiba Princess Hotel, we are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We appreciate your kind words about the hotel and our great staff. Reading this is sure to motivate you in your day to day work. Regarding your objection, this is due to the fact that of the same type of rooms there is always a quota of rooms with double bed and another with king size. Surely you were assigned that room because there was no longer availability of the same room with king size. Our recommendation is that the next time you make a reservation, please let us know your preference in the comments, so that when the receptionists see your request when assigning you the room, they will assign you the room with king size. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us and for your feedback. We look forward to welcoming you back. Best regards, Princess - Customer Care Team

We're not big fans of huge hotels and all inclusive resorts and generally avoid them for reasons of noise, 'bland same dining' and sunbed wars. We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel though. Yes it is a case of booking your breakfast and evening meal in advance, which is a minor inconvenience but I completely see why its necessary and to be honest if you go early, its a pleasurable experience as you can choose where you want to sit and breakfast is a leisurely process (I recommend the round tables at the back for a better dining experience). Evening dining is noisy but its ALL INCLUSIVE in a huge hotel...what do you expect! Again go earlier, its quieter! Overall we found the food to be perfectly fine and never had a dodgy meal. I'm vegetarian and I had plenty of choice and my husband is a gluten free meat eater. We didn't over indulge but we went away pleasantly full each day. Those who expect 'something special', don't do All Inclusive. Simple as that! There are enough sunbeds for all and yes the best ones are taken up earlier in the morning (that's the same anywhere you go!) There is no perfect spot though as there are lots of palm trees around occasionally hiding the sun but every day felt different as each spot provides a completely different view and atmosphere. We also loved the European feel to the place and everyone was polite and friendly. The all inclusive drinks are great. More or less all your normal drinks (G&T, Rum&coke, Malibu, wines, whiskey, a few cocktails), just not named varieties. Oh and you can drink the local water, easily on tap around the hotel. okay, no tea and coffee in your room unless all inclusive plus but we just took a cup of tea to bed if we fancied it! The spa treatments are a light relief and I recommend. The hotel is immaculate, the staff friendly and the Asian and Italian restaurants are worth going to. Only thing that lets them down is the self service bit but again I see the reason why they are. Shout out to the lovely lady at Doria shop who gave a very personal shop experience. All in all, we'd happily go back there for some winter sun but I'd stick to my villa holidays for the summer as we prefer them! It's not the 5* Tui portrays but definitely the 4* the hotel says. Like I said, it's all about what your expectations are and because we went with an open mind, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!!

We spent a week at the Tabaiba Princess. We think the room was nice and suitable for our family. The hotel was clean and had nice common areas. The pool area was absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, none of this counts, when the food in the hotel is so bad that it is almost impossible to eat. Example: Three types of eggs were served at the hotel's breakfast. The boiled eggs were so hard boiled that they had a green yolk and crumbled. The fried eggs were so well fried that they tasted like crackers. And the omelette was so watered down that it didn't taste like eggs. Meat or fish was served for lunch and dinner. We experienced the meat as either raw or too well cooked. Most of the hot dishes were deep-fried and a lot of oil was added. There was little real raw material. Only a small salad bar, where much of the contents were canned. I have never experienced such poor food quality in a hotel before. (And I have travelled a lot, and don't think my standard are unreasonable). The snack bars served the same as in the buffets, and even the ice cream tasted bad. How is that even possible?? We had to go the kiosk to buy proper ice creams. (And yes, we paid 7 EUR for two). With better food, the hotel has potential. But our vacation was just not as we expected, as we had to go out of the hotel on other restaurants to eat more proper food. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We’ve been going to GC since 1999 and usually go to PR. Had to move to this hotel due to our original not open in Puerto Rico The staff here are lovely, reception can’t do enough to help you! You have to book an evening meal slot and if you don’t Syliva on the restaurant is very rude! We always booked but on our first night we were 10 mins late, made us feel so unwelcome. We were there two weeks and the food became very repetitive. We ended up eating out most nights of second week. The Italian and Asian restaurants are nice, we enjoyed our free visits there. The ladies in the shops on the walk to restaurants are so nice! Pools—we spent our time by the adult pool but had to pay € 10 or €18 each time to rent a bed as all free ones are taken very early. There’s no way I’m getting up early to sit on a bed from 7am like some did! All inclusive is all inclusive, paying for loungers is ridiculous! Family pools were closed twice due to faeces! We spent our evenings when there, at the piano bar sitting outside, again if you’re not there early, you won’t get a seat! All inclusive closes dead on 11pm, get in that queue before as if not, you’re not getting a drink! For the cost of this we could have had the same, but better service with no extras to pay for in the Dominican!

I love it there! Been twice and I’m gonna go back again in 2024👍🏼 I’ve always gone to Mallorca but the weather is not guaranteed, but here, the weather is so hot, went in April and August 2023 and loved every minute of it, got 3 kids under 16 and they loved it aswell, so safe, clean and the food is amazing! The pool is spotless, and for 5 euros in a cab you can get to the town which is lovely to have a walk with the kids at night. I love this place, just like a second home👌🏼
