Hotel Tabaiba Princess hosts a range of amenities that guests appreciate, including pristine pools and exclusive adult areas, albeit with some additional costs and missing features. While the hotel's proximity to attractions like sand dunes is a perk, access to the beach and surrounding areas can be a hassle. The atmosphere is often noted as needing more life, particularly in terms of music and entertainment.
Rooms are found to be basic and occasionally outdated, yet clean and sometimes spacious. Service is generally lauded for its friendliness, though not without occasional delays and inconsistency. Despite the cleanliness being a strong suit, the value proposition of the all-inclusive package is questioned, especially due to extra charges and a subpar dining experience.

We stayed the first week in Jan and couldn’t fault the hotel from start to finish. We had booked the Tabaiba side of the hotel, the Maspalomas side I would is aimed more for families with children with the kids club and mini water park etc.
Room Room was spacious, modern and was cleaned every day with fresh towels. There were also USB ports either side of the beds. We used the safe in the room which was free to use as well as a mini fridge. There was also a hairdryer in the bathroom. There was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room but this is not a criticism as it is an all inclusive hotel.
Pools/Sun loungers We were able to get a sun lounger everyday without having to rush down first thing. They have a policy in place where you cannot reserve a sun bed before 10am. The hotel provides you with pool towels and we were able to change our pool towels twice during our stay (the hotel issues you tickets on check in). There is an adults only pool and bar area which is lovely but if you want a sun bed there then be prepared to get up early to sit around until 10am when you can leave your towels. We didn’t bother doing this, there is more to life than reserving a sun bed and we found we were able to get beds early afternoon by the adults only pool. The pool is heated and was lovely.
Dining
Breakfast we couldn’t fault, they have everything you would ever want for breakfast. At times it was busy but you were able to get fresh hot food. There are plenty of places you can grab something for lunch, whether that is a full on meal in the main restaurant or a sandwich/ burger in the pool bars. During our stay we were able to dine once in the Asian restaurant and once in the Italian with seating both inside and outside. Both restaurants were great with plenty of choice and fresh food.
All inclusive drinks were great.
Location The hotel isn’t really in a built up area and if you want to go to the beach/ sand dunes then it is about 20 minute walk from the hotel. We only left the hotel once due to having everything we wanted on the complex.
Overall we couldn’t fault anything during our stay and would return.

The Tabaiba Princess is a well-groomed structure, both internally and externally. The room assigned to me was large and comfortable, tastefully decorated and the balcony was equipped with a small drying rack. The garden is spectacular, along the path leading to the pools you can admire immense plants and colorful flowers that denote attention and respect for nature. The buffet restaurant serves a wide range of international dishes for main meals. In the pool area there are three bars, two of which are snack bars where during the day are always available dishes such as hamburgers, chips, salad, fruit etc. to "break" hunger. The public beach can be reached with a walk of about 1.5 km that runs along the beautiful dunes and just outside the hotel there is a bus stop, if you want to visit in complete autonomy the towns in the immediate surroundings. The staff is professional, friendly and helpful.

As a family of 6 people and two children, we went to the Tabaiba Princess Hotel. Since I attach great importance to an honest review of a hotel, I took my time to type this review.
In general we had a good stay at this hotel. The hotel is a very large resort (together with the Maspalomas Princess hotel) and very child-friendly. It can sometimes be busy.
The gently sloping swimming pools offer a safe feeling and give children the opportunity to play independently. The only disadvantage here is the adjacent pebble beach, which is experienced as unpleasant by many. The children's pool with various slides and attractions is a big plus for those traveling with children. There is also an adults-only section.
Regarding the kitchen and food, we return with mixed feelings. However, the restaurant works with a reservation system. This means that you must determine in advance when you will have breakfast and dinner. This was certainly a disadvantage for us. Even with this reservation, you sometimes have to wait before you can move to your table.
The food is tasty and varied. Nothing to complain about. The two themed restaurants are especially recommended. The staff is very strict about clothing in the small snack bars at the pools. Getting drinks and food without clothing or footwear is not done and this is often made clear in an unfriendly manner. For example, when we took a sandwich by hand without paying attention, all remaining sandwiches were thrown away with great frustration by the cook.
All bars close promptly at 11 p.m., after which you as an all-in customer cannot go anywhere, not even for water or soft drinks.
The animation team works very professionally and not pushy.
Our rooms were very clean, cleaned every day and equipped with every comfort.
The hotel works with two color straps, silver and gold. The benefits of the gold band include international spirits, international beer and freshly squeezed fruit juice for breakfast. However, they do enforce it strictly. You are asked several times for the room number and you sometimes have the feeling that it is not entirely cordial. In our opinion, highly recommended!
Customer service could sometimes be better. Some employees are very friendly (especially the cleaning crews!), while other bar and restaurant employees are very unfriendly.
In short: the Tabaiba Princess hotel is definitely recommended for those looking for a child-friendly hotel, good cuisine, a good location in Gran-Canaria and this for a good price.

The service at the hotel is terrible; the staff is not helpful at all. I asked for a glass of water 10 minutes before the pool bar opened because I felt faint from lying in the sun. The water is taken from a dispenser, so employee assistance was unnecessary. Instead of helping, the bartender told me to come back in 10 minutes and then took a bottle of water and drank it in front of me. I said that I felt faint and needed water, but she refused. I had to go all the way to the restaurant where breakfast was being served, and my friend had to help me because I couldn’t manage on my own.
Another aspect is the all-inclusive premium. I’ve been here for several days and haven’t been able to have the Faustino VII red wine, which is available in this option. Several times, they tried to give me the house red wine, which is disgusting. I asked several times, due to the lack of the wine I love, for something of a similar class, and each time I was offered the house wine or another red wine that was undrinkable.
To get orange juice at breakfast, you have to run around and look for waiters because there are so few, especially early in the morning. Tea is not available during lunch and dinner; you can only order it at the main bar or the bars by the pool. There is no good quality dark bread; they serve rolls with artificial coloring that look like whole wheat. There are always long queues before entering the restaurant. There is no access to drinking water after the bars close, even though the water dispensers are available but turned off. There is no water in the rooms. The staff hardly speaks English, so communication is terrible. When I informed the staff that there was no cocoa in the chocolate machine, they told me to look for a waitress and report it.
When I entered my room during cleaning, the cleaner informed me that there was no light in the room. I asked her to report it, but she told me to go to the reception myself and report it. The hotel is reasonably clean, but the service is tragic. The food is quite tasty, there is a variety, but some dishes are inedible and cold. The Italian restaurant has delicious food, but there are definitely not enough staff. I have stayed at several other Princess hotels in Gran Canaria and the Caribbean, and I have always been satisfied with the service and food, but this time it was a disaster.

I’m surprised by the negative reviews from people who also spent Xmas and new year here. On arrival the grounds were clean and impressive. Check in was quick and informative. I was pleased with our room, i have zero complaints it was a very nice room. More could be done keeping the communal areas clean throughout the day however I saw cleaners constantly cleaning lifts, door handles etc which was reassuring. We tried the a la carte restaurants and wouldn’t again, the food hall is more than sufficient. The salads and fruit selection were great, there was a lot of choice cooked fresh in front of us. We didn’t have the drinks upgrade which meant I stuck to soft drinks because the alcohol wasn’t nice at all. The snack bar selections were ok, nothing impressive but did the job for all the family. The pools were freezing even though the kids didn’t mind at all. The location is great , the onsite facilities were great we would definitely return. The new year eve celebrations were perfect and the staff really worked hard to make it special.

Dear 110staceya, Thank you for sharing your experience and for your kind words about our hotel Tabaiba & Maspalomas Princess. We are glad to hear that your stay was positive and that you enjoyed the location, the facilities and the special atmosphere we created for these special occasions. It is encouraging to hear that you appreciated the cleanliness in the common areas and the constant effort of our team to maintain high standards of hygiene. We are glad that your room met your expectations and that you found a good variety in the buffet, especially in the salads and fresh fruits. We take note of your comments about the swimming pools. All our heated pools are between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius and the temperature is checked daily by our technical team. This is taken both by a probe and manually by our service staff, checking the correct temperature. We are delighted that the New Year's celebrations were to your liking and that our team contributed to making your stay a special memory. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future for another memorable experience. Best regards, Princess - Customer Care Team

On arrival no warm welcome but a businesslike reception where we received an A4 sheet with the room number and explanation of the hotel and were referred to the correct elevator. Then we went to the room with our suitcases. Room was beautiful, renovated, with a nice bathroom with walk-in shower and a nice bathroom. Nothing wrong with it. There was also a small refrigerator, which was completely empty. There was a large bottle of bath foam/shampoo in the bathroom to wash your hands. No bar of soap or soap pump, too bad! There is also no bottle of water in the bathroom to take medication or use when brushing your teeth or drinking. Breakfast is good in the morning, but you should not be late because there are not enough staff to clear all used tables! 'Same story in the afternoon, lunch is good. However, you can only get coffee or tea in the restaurant in the morning, but not during lunch or dinner, which is a shame! Coffee makers are turned off during lunch and dinner! Also, only wine glasses are on the table during lunch and dinner. Other glasses are not available so if you drink anything other than wine (e.g. beer) you have to drink it from a wine glass, too bad! If you want to have a drink in the afternoon after the pool, you have to hurry because all bars are closed at 6:00 PM! Can't get anything anywhere anymore! You must also drink all drinks outside from a plastic cup, no matter what you drink! Dinner in the evening is also good, but here too you should not be late because there are not enough staff to clear tables! After dinner, have a nice drink and chat with others is possible, but don't make it too late because the bar closes at 11:00 PM and nothing is available anymore. After insisting, we were still able to get a drink by paying, all inclusive is only until 11:00 PM. However, when we had bought drinks for the main price, we were asked to leave the bar a little later and drink the drinks at the reception, this is really not possible. If you want to go to the gym, you must book in advance and bring your own towel and possibly. Bring water. There are no bottled water so you have to go to the gym with a cup of water, too bad! Hotel is really nice, food is good and extensive, room was nice and cleaned well every day, nothing wrong with that, but the above experiences mean that we will not come back here again. Also when checking out it was very businesslike, room number was asked and it was said that it was that good. We were not asked how the stay had been and we wished you a good return trip, which is a pity, we are used to better things with little effort!

Positives - great if you are travelling with children, water park etc. this is a family hotel - not really the best option for couples / solo travellers. Unfortunately for me, everything else was average - basic rooms, food not hot enough, restaurant staff verging on Rude, especially 1 waiter in particular (reception staff were helpful), WiFi did not work properly, queues for restaurant, children running around everywhere (except the adults pool), poor location so have a long walk or use taxis, birds flying around food in the pool snack area, drinks poor quality on the standard all inclusive, you can pay more to upgrade to a premium all inclusive. TUI need to reduce their rating to 3T+ as this would give a more realistic rating for guests to make an informed choice.

One of the only places I’ve ever stayed which while going in the pools you are NOT allowed any inflatables, if you are sat right In front of the pool you are also NOT allowed to drink at all while sat beside the pool. We were told to stop playing with our water ball while in the pool while others were also throwing theirs around and were asked to go into a different pool.
The aircon was horrendous and didn’t work what so ever, had someone come out to our room to check on it and it didn’t work and was told to call again if we had issues but the same happened again. The pillows in the room were AWFUL, it was like sleeping on a brick, the showers also kept cutting out from hot to cold every few seconds.
One of the only all inclusive places I’ve stayed at where you actually had to pay for a lot of the drinks/cocktail’s/certain ice creams. Considering the price we paid for this hotel I wouldn’t be returning. The entertainment in the evenings was okay it was more for children, the bars also stop serving at 11pm ,I personally wouldn’t recommend coming as I do believe for a so called 4* hotel it’s lacking in a lot of areas. Personally I won’t be returning and I wouldn’t recommend any friends/family to come here either. Very over priced hotel for what you actually get. You also do not get to do all the activities like rifle shooting and archery as that is for all inclusive plus which you have to pay more for even if you’ve already paid for all inclusive.
You also DO NOT get irons, and they charge if you’d like your clothes washed/ironed. They also had no hot drink facilities/kettle in the hotel room.
Over the hotel does have a lovely look to it and it’s very aesthetically pleasing but it’s just that, it’s pretty too look at and more effort is put into how it looks than what it provides. Extremely disappointed with how the hotel is to be honest after spending ten nights here, we spent half the holiday out in the town and doing different things as we found this hotel was very boring. For families/ couples I wouldn’t recommend unless you like a very chill holiday.
The only good thing I will praise is that the staff were very kind, extremely helpful and VERY friendly and polite, the hotel was kept spotless and was constantly being cleaned so fair play to the staff for working as hard as they did!
Personally I just think this hotel could do with a lot of improvements with the activities/drinks/rooms.

Dear Casey E, We are sorry to hear that your experience at our hotel did not live up to your expectations. We appreciate you taking the time to share your detailed comments as they help us to identify areas where we can improve. Regarding the use of inflatables in the pool, this is not permitted for the safety of our guests which is most important to us. On the other hand, when our lifeguard asked you to go to another pool due to the use of balls, it is because we have a pool for this type of activity. We regret the problems you describe with your room, although regarding the pillows we would have loved to hear from reception to offer you our different pillows until we found the one that best suited your needs. We understand your frustration regarding the limitations on activities and restrictions on certain drinks and services within the all-inclusive package, but we would like to inform you that this can be found in detail on our website and on our Princess app so that each person can find out what is essential before booking. In this way we try to avoid people arriving at the hotel expecting something that we do not offer from the beginning and that is a pity for us. We are glad to hear that you found the staff friendly and helpful, and that the cleanliness of the hotel was to your liking. We greatly appreciate the efforts of our team and will be sure to pass on your compliments. We regret that your overall experience was unsatisfactory and we will take your comments to heart to make the necessary improvements. We thank you again for your sincerity and look forward to the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future. Best regards, Princess - Customer Care Team

We spent a week of romantic vacation at the Tabaiba Princess Pension, and overall it went pretty well. From our arrival and until the end of our stay, the kindness and welcome of the staff were impeccable. The rooms are very spacious clean and well appointed, although they unfortunately lack soundproofing (a point I will address in more detail in the negative aspects). The Spa and its services, including massages and jacuzzi, steam bath, salt cabin and saunas are also a real asset of the Inn. When it comes to dining, the buffet offers a wide choice with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, which is a real plus. (Thanks for thinking of us ❤️) However, even though I did not really enjoy the food, it remains correct overall. The Pension is still quite far from the main points of interest, so I highly recommend renting a car for more freedom during your stay. The excursions offered are interesting, although I found them a little expensive.
Cons: Upon arrival, the transfer to the Pension was long and tiring. It is a collective transfer, with several stops at other hotels before arriving at ours, which made us lose much of the day. The return is similar, with a request to be ready 3 hours before Check-out to pick up other guests from the different hotels. The last ones enjoy a more relaxed morning, but for us, it was constraining. As for the adults pool, it is almost impossible to find a place there. Some guests book the deckchairs very early in the morning by dropping off their towels, which is really unpleasant. Balinese beds are charged (20 euros per day), which is expensive, and again, you have to get up very early to hope to have one (always the same guests who are on its beds...) The “all inclusive” concept regarding drinks is disappointing, as the best cocktails/drinks are not included and are therefore paid for. In addition, the Pension is huge, which means that you often have to queue to eat, and there are always people everywhere, an unpleasant holiday experience. It would also be wise to put up signs in the hallways of the rooms to remind guests, and especially their children, not to make too much noise. We were awakened several times by the cries of children and overwhelmed parents. Finally, at the restaurant, the attitude of some customers is disturbing, especially those who allow themselves to pass in front of everyone without embarrassment. Lunch hours (from 1pm) are also a little late for my taste.
Despite these negatives, I recommend this Pension for a pleasant holiday, especially if you are well organized and willing to make some compromises.
Thank you to the whole Pension team for your welcome and kindness 😊 See you soon 🥰

The hotel is very nice, very clean, the food is good, but it is noisy!
It could easily deserve a score of 5/5 but I only put 3/5. Indeed, the hotel is very (too) noisy.
I have already read the other comments and answers on this subject from the hotelier, who defends himself by saying that it is a family hotel and therefore noisy. But there are things to do.
For my part I slept very badly during my entire week of vacation, with in the next room a baby crying several times a night. But also because of the children who run in the long corridors at all hours of the day and night. The rooms are very poorly soundproofed.
It must be possible to reserve, for an extra charge, an "adult only" part for the rooms (top floor for example). It's done in competing hotels. It is also possible to remind guests to respect the quiet/silence in the room area, place signs in the corridors indicating to respect the silence and not to run, for the peace of all.
Same for the restaurant, very noisy. Here too it is possible to create an adult only zone.
In short, things to do to improve the quality of life at this hotel.
Also, the wifi in the room was not functional. The network was visible... but unreachable. On the ground floor, welcome / bar, no worries.
Finally, at the bar during the day, everything is done so that you help yourself... You want one of the few cocktails included in the package... You have to take it yourself by machine... First time I've seen this in a 4-star hotel.
