This review is a little late (we visited at the beginning of March). This was out second stay - have to say the hotel is looking a little dated - rooms certainly don't match up to a 4 star rating. View over the bay is lovely. The hotel is in a good position for some nice walks and there is...

Everything about the hotel was fantastic. The view, the food, the weather, the all inclusive and anything else was perfect. But the entertainment crew set it aside. We travelled as a party of 5 and by the end Clay (the leader of the entertainment team) knew us all by name, and would regularly come talk to us at meals and...

On reaching the hotel, the look from outside is acceptable. The reception area is small but pleasant, as is the lounge area. The reception staff were nice. We arrived early (late morning) as we had booked a taxi transfer so they were not sure if our room was ready...they apologised for this. After only a few minutes we were given...

This is a nice inexpensive hotel in good condition. The rooms are a reasonable size and the bathrooms nicely designed. The food is varied and served hot with warmed plates so the meal is still hot when you get it to your table. The dining room isn't really large enough for the number of guests that are here at the...

Firstly the good points. Food was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There were always plenty of sun loungers available, even though the hotel was full. Bad points were a bit more plentiful. The beds are so uncomfortable and the soundproofing in the rooms is non-existent. I think the guests in the room above were rearranging...

This hotel has a prime location but sadly I thought it did not come up to expectations. Yes, all rooms are facing the sea, but the standard of cleaning leaves a lot to be desired. The only way that I can describe the food (I was on half board) was that it was very similar to school diners - boring...

Loved this hotel went a little out of season so wasn't too busy. All the rooms face across the bay with balconies and have a fantastic view. Peaceful as a little out of the way so it can be a trek to the nearest village but easy cheap buses run from end of the road. Great varied restaurant, private beach...

The Mellia Bay Hotel is a 4 star that could meet its grading when the exterior and corridors have been refurbished, the initial impression on arrival at the rear is disconcerting, the initial reception was efficient, however, the supplied drink of orange was awful, watered down fruit juice. Our second floor room was along poorly maintained corridors, the room was well...

Flying in to Malta for the first time, it was fairly obvious how densely populated the island is. However, this hotel is located on the northern tip of the island, handily placed for access to the Gozo ferry and thus well served by public transport, and in a much quieter part of Malta. I'd say that 4 stars is reasonable....
