This was the most amazing getaway for My husband and I for Valentines! We stayed in the goldfinch and it was honestly as breathtaking as the views! The cabin was so luxurious and just staying in it was the most amazing experience! The bed was beautiful and so comfortable and the hot tub was just fantastic! You can see the skill and quality workmanship in every bit of the cabin and surroundings, they have thought of everything, even having the cabin and hot tub warmed up for our arrival! We will definately be back! You both should be so proud of the amazing place you have created! Xx

From the moment we pulled up we just knew that the weekend was going to be so peaceful and we were right. The log cabin was exactly how it was described along with the views of the mountains. The cabin itself was cosy and inviting. The bed was extremely comfortable and all facilities needed for a remote weekend were on hand. To top it off the hot tub was ready for us to enjoy from the moment we arrived. The local takeaway and restaurants were delicious aswell not one fault do we have from our time spent. A trip we will not forget. 😁

My husband and I stayed in The Goldfinch to celebrate his birthday and we had the most amazing 2 nights, I cannot recommend it enough if you are looking to escape and unwind. The Goldfinch is amazing, Derek is an amazing craft man and between himself and Ciara we were so warmly welcomed and every need catered for. The panoramic windows provide you with a stunning view of the Mournes, and the hot-tub is perfect for star-gazing (we stayed in it for hours just watching the stars and talking). If you think that glamming isn’t luxurious then The Goldfinch will make you change your mind. The location is amazing too, perfect for walks and close to Newcastle for lovely pubs, cafe’s and restaurants. Also, the bed is so comfy and the shower is the best. There really is nothing I would change. We can’t wait to go back. xx

Can't recommend this place enough. We stayed in the wren cabin. We managed to stay when the weather was stormy but it definetly didnt put a downer on our stay. Was cosy and warm being in the cabin listening to the wind and the rain. The owners are so helpful and friendly as also is odin the dog who greeted us each day. We went to silent valley on one of the days we stayed which is a short drive and lunch in the galley which would recommend food was lovely. Hot tub was definetly an extra bonus relaxing and taking in the scenery. This was our first time glamping and can't wait to go back and try a different cabin.

We had a lovely stay at Willowtree Glamping - the cabin was so cosy and Derek was there to welcome us and answer any questions. The area is gorgeous and there's endless walks and hikes nearby. For directions, the postcode from the map in the app did bring us to the wrong house but we used the written directions and we found it! We will definitely return soon!

From the first phonecall to the very reluctant farewell, our stay at The Skylark was amazing. Ciara and Derek (and the brains and beauty behind it all, Odin) were superb hosts. The info-mails and digital guestbook we got after booking were first class. The breakaway was a surprise for husbands 49th birthday and we arrived to happy birthday bunting in the cabin, really thoughtful and unexpected. We brought our dogs with us and there was a wee jar of treats left for them, again, such a lovely gesture. Ciara and Derek's attention to detail is second to none, the cabin is decorated to the highest standard. Complimentary bottled water, toiletries and all the amenities you could ask for. We didn't use our hot tub, but we did use the barbecue and firepit. The cooler September weather didn't put us off sitting outside in the newly enclosed, and covered, private patio. Derek even built a gate for us arriving, allowing our dogs their own safe space, like I say 5 star plus. Odin, the gorgeous blonde male, made sure we were safe and always popped over for a chat, he's so handsome. We're already looking to book again for our wedding anniversary next March. A perfect couples retreat, with the added bonus of being pet friendly. Thank you so much x

We're absolutely thrilled to hear about your exceptional experience at The Skylark, from the moment you made your booking to the bittersweet goodbye. It warms our hearts to know that our efforts, along with Odin's charming presence, contributed to making your stay memorable. Your kind words about the surprise birthday touches for your husband and the thoughtful gestures for your dogs truly mean the world to us. We strive for perfection in every detail, from the decor to the amenities, ensuring every moment spent with us is special. We're delighted the private patio and the bespoke gate for your dogs enhanced your experience, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of September outdoors. Although the hot tub was left untouched this time, it's wonderful to hear you made the most of the barbecue and firepit. The anticipation of welcoming you back for your wedding anniversary next March fills us with joy. We aim to create a haven not just for couples but for their beloved pets too. Thank you for choosing Willowtree Glamping for such a significant occasion. We're looking forward to making your next visit just as enchanting, if not more.
