Nestled in a village at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds, Croxton House is a traditional country farmhouse offering a peaceful and relaxing stay to our guests. We are a dog friendly B&B, with plenty of dog walks on offer and close to local beaches. We also are delighted to accept families, with one room designated as suitable for a family of five. We pride ourselves on receiving excellent reviews and feedback from our guests, with many returning to us for their yearly holidays. There are lots of things to do close by for all tastes; whether it be for adrenaline junkies, there is Cadwell Park, Blyton Park and Skydive Hibaldstow; or for more sedate activities like walking or sightseeing at our local areas of historical interest, like Thornton Abbey and Gatehouse or Roman sites, like the town of Caistor. For the motorbike racing enthusiasts amongst you, we are proud to have close links (and are close by) The Marrowbone and Cleaver pub in Kirmington, owned by motorbike racer and TV personality, Guy Martin. This friendly and relaxed establishment offers hearty pub meals as well as an excellent cold pint! The pub is dog friendly too! We love to offer our guests a real home from home experience and if there are any special requests for a special occasion we are happy to accommodate. We look forward to meeting you soon.

Our stay was amazing, the only downside been that it was only one night. I was in a dire situation having been let down by an Air bnb and from the moment I rang Becky she looked after us and it felt great to feel safe and welcomed. The room was so lovely and comfortable with everything we needed and the breakfast was very nice. The location was peaceful too. Everything was spotlessly clean. We will definitely stay again and recommend to others. Thankyou Becky for a lovely peaceful stay.X

Very dated B&B. Large rooms but single glazed windows explains the heater and electric blanket on bed. Postcode does not reach address. Phone signal poor. Remote location, having a car essential. Local roads can be flooded if it rains a lot. Recent weather been bad lately. Working nights meant central heating timings not very useful. Bathroom freezing when using, hot water not constant. Continental breakfast very poor options available.

Response from Becky W, Owner at Croxton House Bed & Breakfast
Responded 28 Dec 2019
Thanks for taking the time to post this review, Denis. We are sorry to see that you consider our farmhouse B&B to be 'very dated'. We, (and the majority of our guests) consider the furniture and the decoration to be sympathetic to the age and style of the Property, which is over 100 years old. We consider this to be a positive for our B&B. We are to redecorate the property throughout 2020. With regards to the breakfast, again, the majority of our guests are happy with the selection on offer. We are flexible when it comes to requests, and would have happily arranged an alternative. We understand your stay was booked by your employer, and we cannot understand why you have marked our location negatively. We are conveniently located for the M180/A180/A15 and are 1.5 miles away from an International Airport. We cannot help that your employer booked your stay with us in a location which you have deemed 'remote'. We also cannot be responsible for the local roads drainage, the phone signal (which we don't consider to be poor) and the postcode not reaching our address - we do know this and on the confirmation email sent to the person who reserved your room, it does give clear directions or advises to use Google Maps. Unfortunately due to the times when you were using the bathroom - in the day - we cannot have the central heating on all the time - this is uneconomical for us to do so. As you mention we do provide oil heaters in the room, which does kick out a lot of heat when used. We will look at the hot water being 'not constant' which is the first we have heard of this. Thanks again for the review.

We stayed for one night, the room was large and the bed was really comfortable. It has a very homely feel to it, although it's not modern it's very clean. We had a good continental breakfast, the dog was made welcome and we would definitely book again. Excellent value for money.

We had a great stay at Croxton House, we had a very warm welcome and our room was perfect with lovely views, parking is directly outside We ate at the local Marrowbone and Cleaver just a mile walk away. Next morning breakfast was served around a large table, we really enjoyed the chat with the other guests Would definitely stay here again
