Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a sorry state of affairs, me and my husband turned up in the evening to find we nearly fell through the decking as its rotten, the kitchen was dirty with cutlery draw covered in crumbs. Left Iver tobacco items in the kitchen utensils container, the oven, kitchen cupboards and pots and pans have mould and crumbs. Not to mention the cupboard under the sink covered in dried mud. A kettle that spits boiling water at you ( which I have a video and photos of all this ) , walk into the bedroom to find toenail clippings along the bed with thick dust also along the bed frame. Other people's socks left from previous stays. And not to mention the pair of underwear that was hanging in the hedge at the front . Haha you honestly can't make this up. After we had contacted seren to speak about the state of the place. Which we had paid a lot of money for. THEY ASKED US IF WE WANTED A CLEANER!! And refused to even approach the decking situation. Again we have photos. Why should we be asking for cleaners when this should be done as a standard? Why would you not take someone's work about the decking ? What a joke. After leaving a review we have also bot heard anything back. So money grabbing dirty company

I know it's a self-catering holiday, but the basic standard of the cabin - 355 in this case - is poor. The bumf says it caters for 8 people, but you can only seat 4 at the kitchen table. Total of six beds provided, the other two being a bed-settee in the sitting room which, when made up as a bed, takes up almost all the available space in the sitting room area. The bed settee was also difficult to set up. Kitchen table (and the rest of the furniture, for that matter) looked like it was from the 1950s, and was so unstable that drinks got spilled at the slightest knock. Cooker top oven/grill door wouldn't close properly and no grill pan provided. Or at least, not one that fits the grill properly. Cookware incapable of providing for the 5 people in our group - never mind for 8 people. Random collection of pans, lids, etc. Two woks but no frying pan. No kitchen cleaning stuff was provided. Why on earth would anyone want, or be expected, to bring cleaning products on holiday with them? One - yes just one - loo roll was provided. No towels provided nor available - even at additional cost. Parking space for just one car. Two, if the second one is small enough to fit on the road in front without blocking other vehicles. Eight people in one car??? I don't know if the room heaters work as we didn't need them (the faux electric wood burner did work just fine), but the fact that the main on/off switch on the wall for the sitting room heater was taped into place didn't inspire confidence. TV & Freesat worked fine and reception was good. South-facing veranda lovely when the sun shone.

We are staying in lodge 254 and having an amazing week. The lodge is clean and beautifully furnished. The teenagers have a big play area to make friends and socialise. But the best part is the view from the kitchen window and adorable garden with its own brook.

Lovely quiet site with play area, small shop and launderette. Our cabin was 236 and very private with decking on 2 sides. Lots of walks locally. The only downside was it was very hot in the cabin even with blinds and curtains drawn, so if going whilst the weather is warm take a fan.

Stayed for 4 nights in cabin 233. Standard of accommodation was excellent. Even though the weather was very wet and cool the lodge was warm with plenty of options to dry out clothes. Lodge had everything you needed. The view from the decked terrace was amazing. You can bbq in the small garden but it was too wet for us sadly. The shop had all the basics although we had brought everything ourselves. Highly recommend this as a get away destination. Great memories yo take home.

I went with my family and hired a log cabin for a few days. I have been coming here since the 90s. The site is excellent and the cabins are very clean and cosy! However when I came to drop off the keys I was met with a man shouting ‘out the shop please only 2 people at a time!’ This was even before I had a chance to look who was is there. Nothing was sign posted of where to wait, so I waited in the foyer. The man was selling a cabin to a couple as he came out he said ‘Right out the shop can you get out the bloody way!’ There was no signs of where to wait, 4 people in the shop. When I told the women inside and she was very apologetic. She also came out to apologise again and wish me a safe journey home with my family. However it really wasn’t her fault and had no reason to apologise. I understand selling a cabin will make more money than a family trip however for someone who regularly comes here that man has lost the place a customer due to his ill manners!

The site is ideally located between Barmouth and Porthmadog beaches. Cabins on site are 2/3/4 beds and ideally appointed. Beautiful views of the Rhinog Mountains and Cader Idris. The perfect North Wales escape

Rented with friends to see mountains. Nice views when not raining, which was most days. Accommodation was bad. Toilet overflowing with raw sewage. Not fully fixed by staff who were not overly helpful. Drain on shower also not drain properly. Bins at common area not emptied. Over flowing with rubbish. Rats seen most days when bins emptied. Safety of guests not a big concern, as seen by safety boards. Drivers allowed to race around site. Dog mess not cleaned up. Dirty site. Very upset. Will not return.

Its a great location and site also.a little dissapointed with the standard of the lodge.very dated and tired.had to have a contractor out to re construct part of the decking area as rotten to the point of dangerous.i must point out that the sites response was swift and was sorted the next day.great fish and chips from the van if you dont mind the wait(1hr).all in all a very good site in a superb location.

Fantastic little cabin (193) with everything you need. It is really like being at home not needing for anything, From arrival the place was spotless and with us being our little fur baby it’s suited us to a tea, knowing other dogs have stayed there too you wouldn’t have noticed. We would definitely like to go back and spend more time here and we will definitely be telling our friends and family about how great it was, will be highly recommend. The site is self is perfectly located 20/30 minutes drive to local attractions/country walks, towns and beaches over all it’s been a superb little winter break.. 10/10. Thanks again Liz for letting us hire your little beauty :)
