My husband and I, along with our adult daughter, stayed here 4 days in mid January. Great location and the staff was very helpful. I was a little disappointed with the overall property. It seemed "dated" and not very fresh feeling. The free wireless worked OK in the room, but didn't have any service by the poolside. We had spa...

Had stayed here years ago but have been at the Hapuna or Orchid most times since, mainly due to rate specials elsewhere. Hotwire rate here was unbeatable and I'm glad we got a chance to return. The property is beyond compare, even for wondrous Hawaii. I had worried about postings concerning construction and possible maintenance issues, but no matter. Maintenance...

My Wife and I spent our last 3 days of our honeymoon at the Mauna Lani. This hotel is beautiful and clean. There was some construction still going on by the pool but nothing bothering. Fantastic beach and great place to relax. Our booking included a buffet breakfast every morning and a 100 dollar a day credit with covered everything...

After looking at Trip Advisor and seeing a mixed review, I was starting to feel a little suspicious about the quality we were going to find. Do not pay attention to the "Negative Nancy's" regarding this property! How can anyone criticize this place? Its magnificent! The hotel itself is beautiful with its open air center including palm trees and tropical...

I stayed here for the first time in 1995 and have always wanted to return - and it is still outstanding in every respect, even considering the restaurants are over priced Hawaii style, but that is the price of Hawaii. And you have good restaurant alternatives in Waimea [try the Red Water Cafe] and Kawaihae [Cafe Pesto is not bad]....

We stayed at Mauna Lani April 2013. Great place! We got a free upgrade to ocean view. Service was great. Beach beautiful. Good snorkeling just next door , a short walk to the left. Loved getting free snorkel gear. We enjoyed all the fish and shark ponds. Very peaceful. We stay again if we are on the Big Island again!!

What a grand hotel. Spent a relaxing 6 nights here in early January. We didn't have an ocean room like most people suggest but were still very happy with our garden view room; it felt very luxurious! The very big comfortable bed and his and hers vanities were my favorite parts of the room. The grounds of the hotel are...

We visited Mauna Lani last summer, and my review is rather delayed. I have reflected upon our holiday there a lot, because there is a lot to praise about this hotel. You aren't hassled around the pool, the bar staff were charming and the room we had was more than adequate. We loved the large swimming pool and the fish...

Musicians playing beautiful Hawaiian music while children dance the hula, guests stroll the path that winds along the ocean and families who look like they're straight out of a J. Crew ad wearing white linen outfits eat at beautiful outdoor restaurants...its the stuff of Hawaiian dreams. Unfortunately, that's the Four Seasons, not the Mauna Lani. The Mauna Lani is nice,...

We stayed here for 8 nights after New Year's for a family reunion. This resort exceeded all expectations . The look of the place is esthetically very pleasing with beautiful fish ponds and a stunning ,airy open air atrium design. The service was unusually friendly and staff seemed uniformly eager to please, even for the high standards of Hawaii in...
