Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Stayed here several times. Written reviews on the past saying how it's right on a wonderful beach. Excellent facilities and staff and reasonable pricing. Nothings changed. Still wonderful. Plus ca change.

Ok - so I’m going to be as objective as I can here. We are on a 6 week trip around Thailand and Vietnam and this hotel was towards the end of our trip so had a lot to compare it with. It was reasonably priced - but not cheap. It was situated right near the beach - a 60:second walk. There is lots of bars and restaurants nearby within easy walking distance. We are travelling with friends and had booked two standard double rooms. We arrived around 8 at night and the guy on reception was quite abrupt with us (not sure if he would like to have finished work sooner!) . He quickly checked us in, ran us across to our rooms along with another member of staff and almost threw our cases through the door, then disappeared. Didn’t give us any information at all. The good: immaculately clean. Room was cleaned every day and towels changed - well done to the cleaning staff who were also very friendly. The shower is good and always plenty of hot water. WiFi free and fairly reliable. The bad: rooms are very dark - big verandah prevents daylight at all so even during the day it’s dark. There is very little storage space. No drawers and only 4 coat hangers. Go and ask for more and they will provide them. Only one extension with 4 sockets for charging. However, once the adaptor is in you can only use two of them and it’s hit and miss to be honest - the plugs are very loose so phones don’t always charge. The ugly: The room is tired and could do with updating. The pool area needs updating and the sun beds could do with a good scrubbing - they look grubby - we didn’t bother using the pool - really wasn’t appealing. Couldn’t sit out at night as the veranda was over water so was bitten to death ! (Not the hotels fault I realise). Noisy air conditioning unit. Maybe we should have gone for a more expensive room, but to be honest, from the outside they just looked the same dark building. Would I stay here again - probably not. It’s Worth paying a bit more for something better.

I stayed solo here for two nights. It was a fantastic location right on the beach and surrounded by greenery. The pool was OK, nothing special. Room was clean, spacious. The lighting was a bit disappointing but the balcony was cool! The staff were very lovely and helpful. Overall, you get what you pay for, it was quite cheap.

We were very impressed with our stay here. The upkeep of the property is evident in the swept sand every morning on the beach, meticulous grounds which made you feel you were in the rainforest, and spots to wash your feet of sand, so you don't trek it into your room or the pool. There was an impressive fire show on the weekend and use of sandbag type cushions on which to lounge, during the day. It's a 5 minute walk to restaurants, shops and massage parlors. Tip- walk to the main street minutes from the hotel and flag down a red truck to take you to the airport and nearby towns for ridiculously cheap prices. And go see a Thail boxing match while on the island.

Room was very good, with A/C, TV, balcony. Shower and toilet good and clean . Every day changed towels, cleaned. Quiet place, not noisy. Few meters to nice beach, few meters to street with bars, restaurants, shopping. Excellent location. Really recommended.

We stayed in a garden bungalow. The room was clean, the shower had good water pressure, the ac worked. The breakfasts were okay, nothing amazing but decent. Lamai can be a bit hectic but the bungalow was far enough from the main road that we werent bothered by noise. The beach is across the street from the garden bungalows (and the pool) but it's a quiet side street and not difficult to cross. We had no problem walking from our room to the beach in our bare feet with a two year old in tow. The beach itself is okay - the waves were pretty big and the sand is a bit gravelly. You get people. peddling stuff and occasionally loud drunks, but nothing too alarming. Our daughter wasn't a fan of the beach but she loved the pool.

This hotel is made up of small bungalows around the pool and gardens with some also facing the beach. it is idylic to see and no room is a bad room. It is based at the end of a street directly on the beach. It is a quiet hotel. Breakfast is served on the beach front and has a good choice for all tastes. The staff are very helpful. There is a small swimming pool which is in good upkeep. It is a 5 to 10 inutes to shops and restaurants. There are plenty of things local to see but you will need to arrange trasport. Our room was simple but quite comfortable and facing the swimming pool. We had a double slding glass door onto a balcony. Plenty of storage space. Comforatable bed although was slightly firm.

Room - we got the most basic room they had, and it was just that. No complaints here was cheap and cheerful. Pool area - was nice, there wasnt alot of people staying in the hotel so never seemed crowded. Beach - the beach is very beautiful, however, the sand consists of large grains... so if you're hoping for soft white sand you'll be disappointed. Other. We didn't eat or drink at the resort so no comment. The A/C was old and louder than usual. The beds were hard, like most beds in SE Asia.

The venue is located directly at the beach of Lamai. Rooms and Bungalows are available, we had a small bungalow which was not large which was OK, except the desk was uncomfortable for working. The breakfast is served not too early but was not ready at all when we arrived. The service is nice.

The bungalows where finished to a very high standard. Literally a stones throw from the beach and restaurants. And just a 5 min walk to the main town. The one thing that was awful was the wifi. Constantly having to sign in and sometimes taking up to an hour to get into it. So if your there and plan to work bring a booster
