If you are looking to relax in Phuket away from the hustle and bustle Cape Panwa is it! My boyfriend and I stayed at the cove for 4 nights and it was the perfect spot to relax and recharge after traveling through Thailand for a few weeks. The staff is absolutely lovely. The little villas are actually very spacious and comfy. The food and drinks and awesome. And you just can't beat that view!! You are literally on the beach so you can hear the waves from where ever you are.

There are a few other restaurants and bars close by. You can either walk up the hill or along the beach and rocks. Super easy and fun to explore

The Cove and Cape Panwa are hidden gems you do not want to miss!

I stayed here recently and honestly cannot fault a single aspect of this establishment. The location is just as idyllic as depicted, and the accommodation provided was stylish, clean and comfortable. The food was delicious (though I personally would have liked to have had slightly more extensive Thai options) and beautifully presented, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. In fact, as my flight arrived fairly late during the evening, they had stopped serving food by the time I arrived by around an hour, but they still made pizza for myself and my friends, which was super tasty and much appreciated.

The whole place was an oasis of relaxation and calm which seemed to attract a fairly broad demographic, but with the relatively small number of bungalows it never felt crowded. Also to be commended is the efforts of the team at The Cove to reduce the use of plastic; I honestly cannot recall seeing a single bit of plastic during my stay.

One tip - some of the bungalows are only accessible via stairs (not many in our case) therefore if this could pose a problem it would be worth ensuring that you get one on the ground floor, of which there were plenty.

I would return to The Cove right this second if I could!

We spent a week at The Cove over New Year‘s Eve with our little kid and can only say great things about this place.

The rooms are spacious, beautiful and in excellent shape.

The location is quiet and remote - exactly what we wanted.

The beach is calm, and you can swim depending on the tide.

You can relax on the sunbeds on the beach or around the pool. The pool is maybe the only downside. Pretty small and not really exciting.

The restaurant is great - both in terms of food quality and service. We loved to NOT have an all you can eat buffet for breakfast where 30% of the food gets thrown into the garbage. The dishes you can order for breakfast are just about the right size and really delicious.

Overall, the team made us feel welcome all the time.

A small, well run and lovely hotel in Cape Panwa. Set just away from the main stretch, right on the beach and just minutes away from the promenade.

Friendly staff. We booked direct and all emails were answered promptly. The property was very well maintained but take note that it's all set on sand so be prepared for sand everywhere. The pool was cleaned every morning. Even saw the staff picking all the fallen leaves from around the pool area.

Large spacious rooms. And there was NETFLIX! Yay!! Pillows were extremely hard. That's my only criticism.

Food in the 1 restaurant was very good but my only disappointment was the lack of Thai options on the menu.
Zero Thai on the breakfast menu and very limited Thai selection on the all day menu. A large western and Italian influenced menu and pizzas. The restaurant is right by the beach and we witnessed the most beautiful sunset on a hammock looking out to sea! Bliss! 1 for 1 Happy Hour and the cocktails were very professional!

Unfortunately we had a screaming baby right next door to us but other than that, we certainly would recommend The Cove and be back again.

Thank you kwisi for your lovely review of The Cove Phuket, Great to hear all you stay was amazing. Also thank you for your feedback on Thai food menu options it is something we are working on for the breakfast menu. We do have a focus on delish healthy Mediterranean food especially fresh seafood and we will be working on some more Asian influenced food especially on our daily specials. Very happy to hear you loved our happy hour watching the amazing sun go down, I agree the hammocks are a great romantic spot :) Thanks again and we hope to welcome you back again soon love The Cove Team

it was a unique experience at the Cove Resort
the location is perfect on a quiet beach and you are quickly in phuket down town or rawai beach, kata beach or other attractions.
The owner was very helpful and his team went out of their way to make sure all our needs were met.
the bungalows were awesome, super furnished, nothing was missing and very clean.
The food was also excellent and very varied, there was something to bite for every appetite.

we will definitely be back

thank you

The cove is a little beach paradise in south Phuket!! The small hotel is so cozy and friendly and you just feel welcome. From your bungalow you can hear the waves and just walk a view meters to go sit at the ocean to eat delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner or go for a swim. The staff is very friendly, thoughtfull and made my stay a wonderful time. I was even see to book a longtail boat trip to banana beach for snorkeling. The room is equipped with ceiling fans inside and at the porch and with airconditioning insde. Large and comfy bed and large bathroom with a big shower.

There are only 3 rooms at The Cove Phuket so those staying get to know the very friendly staff quite well. Starting with manager Simon and all the girls working at the restaurant/bar we couldn't have been treated any better. And we especially enjoyed having conversations over a casual cocktail in the evenings with owner Lawson and friends before dinner. The room was spacious and comfortable and only steps away from the restaurant and beach. And the food was outstanding. We had researched area places before our trip but we found the food at The Cove so good we had to fight the instinct to just dine there for every meal!

We stayed for two nights at the Family House at The Cove. It was away from other bungalows and the restaurant, providing quieter and spacious space to rest. It has a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and an electric hot plate if you wish to cook. But with the inhouse restaurant that provides such delicious meals why would you?
Upstairs featured two bedrooms with suite bathrooms. Both rooms had ac units that made the space cooler. Master bedroom faced the ocean. Although somewhat hindered by the buildings infront, it is still a lovely space to relax and chill.
Downstairs did not have AC units nor a fan so made the space still but nice space nonetheless to spread out or play in if you have small children.
Simon and his crew were lovely to interact with. Simon is easy to contact and ask questions about the area.
Next time I'd love try the bungalows!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on our trip through Thailand. After booking directly via their homepage, Simon, the manager, helped us to organize the transport to the hotel. Correspondence was easy and the assistance very much appreciated. We stayed in the Coconut Palm room. The interior is really tasteful and the room is very spacious. You immediately feel relaxed. The main area of the hotel is built on sand, so you can be barefoot when enjoying breakfast or dinner next to the ocean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The food is really hyped in a lot of comments and therefore the exceptions were high. In our opinion it is a little overrated, but still good. With mentioning is definitely the Stone Oven Pizza. We would recommend staying here, if you like small intimate hotels (as there are only 4 rooms) at the beach. We would consider coming back :)

Dear mllm21, Thank you so much for your charming review and the many compliments. We do value the "barefoot luxury" approach and aim to make all our guests feel at home. I am glad that you found the correspondence easy and helpful, and we always recommend the guests to book directly (website, email, phone), as this is always cheaper than through other online channels. We look forward to welcome you back again, especially now that all travel restrictions to Thailand have been lifted. Tropical regards, The Cove team

An amazing property and staff.
If you want a quiet relaxing holiday go to the Cove with spectacular views over the bay.
Only four bungalows, right on a lovely, safe, shallow sandy beach, with the odd bit of coral if walking barefoot. No pool, but not needed.
Our bungalow was immaculately clean, spacious with a lovely large open bathroom with walk in shower.
The inclusive breakfast from the menu is excellent and unexpected for Thailand (a posh full English, smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, eggs Benedict....). Lunch/dinner menu is excellent (Thai, european, lovely thin crust pizzas).
The staff and Rachel the hotel manager are so friendly and attentive, that it doesn't feel like being in a hotel.
There is a small village about 15mins walk away with a few shops and local eateries, but up a short steep hill. Or you can walk around the safe rocks to another beach to avoid the hill. The pearl farm is worth a visit.
There is an existing bar and restaurant. They were just about to open a sports bar on the grounds. But don't be put off as I am sure it won't be a noisy one. Just something to add a bit to an already excellent location.

Dear adarssh s, Thank you very much for your question. I am glad to inform that we have a nice selection vegetrian dishes on our menu, which you can find on our website. From Phuket Town to the Cove it can cost between 400 to 500 bath one way depending on the taxi driver. Best regards, The Cove Team

How do you get to the hotel from Phuket airport? Do we need to take a taxi boat to get to the hotel?
Answer from Olivia Garcia

We asked the hotel to arrange the transfer. Super easy and cost effective. The driver was there waiting for us, kind, and we got to the hotel without any issue. The only suggestion I would make is to ask the hotel to ensure the cab’s AC works well. We survived and aren’t complaining, but it was hot and it wasn’t working that well, so that’s my only small suggestion.
