I had 4 nights camping here in the ‘wild’ field and it was absolutely lovely. The view is cracking and the campsite’s facilities were really very good and everything I needed. The staff were helpful & approachable and seemed to take good care of the place. This wasn’t an issue for me but may be of interest to others - the wifi doesn’t stretch to the wild field so if you need that you just need to go to the adjacent field with the electric pitches. I would love to return one day, its a great place to have as a base to explore from.
Totally loved our time here. Best camp site weve stayed in the whole of wales. Lovely staff. So clean. Amazing views. Totally amazing site with lots of lovely walks and surrounding area. Beautiful orchid with bee hives and insect houses. Great base for getting around Thankyou x
We where here for a few days in our touring caravan and the place was lovely, the staff where very friendly and also it was great for dogs as well. The toilets and showers where spotless and very COVID secure. The views where wonderful as well. The only thing to be aware of is the site has some steep slopes so if you have mobility issue they may be a problem , we though would stay there again.
This place is an example of how a site should be. Perfect greeting with a very informative welcome pack. The gardens, the pitches, the toilets, are all kept immaculate. This is a place isolated from anywhere so take all your provisions with you. The main town, Hay-on-Wye, is a 10 minute drive , or a 40 minute walk. The walk back is a little hilly but manageable. If you want a meal or a drink, try the Swan Hotel just on the edge of the town. Beautiful gardens and nice food. ( not the swan pub you get to first). Great for kids and adults. The wild field is super for those wishing to tent, with fantastic views. WiFi not brilliant so use your Hotspot Nothing negative to say. We will return.
Beautiful site extremely clean very friendly staff excellent amenities. The site is set in wonderful countryside, we stayed here to travel to the Royal Welsh about a 30-minute drive. Can't wait to go back.
