Stayed here for four nights and the rooms are very comfortable with a great shower. The staff were all very friendly and helpful at all times. We ate here for three nights and the pub food was lovely but the chefs specials were excellent. The bar has a great selection of beers, with lots of local cask beer and mainstream lagers. After a long days walk seeing this Inn is very welcoming with lots of other walkers sitting in the lovely outside area enjoying a drink. I would say here again if I was in the area.
After a long walk what a welcoming site, lovely little village pub with lots of outdoor seating. Excellent Covid-19 awareness but not overpoweringly in your face. Table service quick and all the staff who served us were happy and helpful. Great beer. Food although a limited menu had something for everyone, portion sizes are hearty Cumbrian large, so great value for money. So glad to be back supporting local business that welcomes visitors
We stayed here last minute on the last night of our holiday, lovely pub lovely rooms and all staff were very accommodating. The place had such a nice feel and the evening meal and breakfast we had were both wonderful. The price for the room was spot on and the shower was very welcome after a long walk. We will definitely be back and our new favourite place to stay, won’t hesitate in recommending to anyone 10/10
We were a group of 4 women, walking the Cumbria way....The owner went out of his way to accommodate us, and what could have been a nightmare night (not of the owners making!) ended up being one of the best (and memorable) overnight stays of our trek. The rooms were immaculate, beds were comfy, and showers were powerful. The pub is lovely, and in a really nice setting....I would have no hesitation in visiting again, for food or B+B, and would recommend to others
We loved our stay here. Staff were super helpful, food top notch and it's just such a nice location for walks. Stayed with our dog and child and room was super comfortable and great breakfast set us up for the day. Would definitely recommend
