Stayed here with my husband and three children and we were pretty disappointed. It’s not luxurious at all... It’s very dated, tired and need of a good revamp. It is ‘on the beach’ but it’s not a nice beach in all honesty. Some staff were lovely, others pretty average. Food was ok.. but due to Covid 19, most of the restaurants were closed.
Stayed here for our 20th Anniversary had a fantastic holiday the hotel was 5* excellent food and our room with balcony over looking the sea was the icing on the cake, staff so helpful, Throughout our stay the staff were extremely friendly, my husband is disabled, the dining staff helped to carry his meal to the table, we felt for spoiled by everyone and would not hesitate to return for a visit.
Had a lovely weeks stay in this hotel during these Covid sad times. Although the hotel was certainly not full due to the pandemic, the staff were so lovely. We had a lovely welcome from OdilePapageorgiou the Superior Suites Manageress, she was so helpful and friendly and organised a birthday and anniversary surprise for us, decorating the room with card and balloons and a bottle of wine. The hotel is very spacious and clean with lots of amenities. The pool and outdoor areas are kept clean and tidy and there are plenty of sun beds around the pool, gardens and their beach area. Lots of different dining areas to choose from too. Both large buffet restaurants were fabulout with a choice for everyone but the al a Carte restaurant was superb. Would recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there again.…
It was our first time to Cyprus and it didn't fail to deliver, this hotel has everything from location, pools, beach, and great staff who genuinely look at everyone the same..we stayed for a week before the school holidays which was more peaceful and more beds to choose from,we ate breakfast everyday at the hotel and it was great selection from fruits, traditional, porridges, cereals and pastrys and filled us until tea time in which ate across the road at the fiesta steak house a couple of times and food there was great..it would of been better if the other places had of been open but due to these uncertain times we couldn't complain, it was one of the most relaxed and memorable holidays I've had and would stay at this hotel again in a shot. Thanks for having us and would love to stay again…
I don't normally write reviews but this 4 star hotel is in my opinion a 5 star and ticks all the boxes. The hotel is in a great location right on the beachfront, you can stumble out of your room into the pool and then a few yards onto the beach and into the sea! Theres a long promenade which will suit those wanting to go for walks in the morning. There's plenty of sunbeds and space for families and the staff were fantastic and genuinely very friendly. I've stayed in other 5 star hotels in Cyprus and apart from them having a more updated interior (the Athena is due a bit of a refresh in all honesty) they don't really compare. If you want a great location, all the facilities you would want, including gym, spa, tennis, mini golf and even several bowling greens then this is a great choice. We stayed in a junior suite which had its own private pool which was amazing but the other rooms were of similar size (we got an upgrade halfway through our holiday) but without the pool! We had a great stay there and hope to return again one day. Thanks to all the staff and especially Odile.…
