This a gorgeous old chateau run by a really lovely couple, M et Mdme Le Gall, who are really old school and charming. The Chateau is beautiful and in an idyllic setting. The chateau is extremely well equipped - including things that are often forgotten such as cushions for the sun loungers. There is an inordinate amount of comfortable and...

A private chateau, am guessing still owned and lived in by the family owners - you can't see it from the main road, access is via a set of gates and a speaker-phone (they give you a pass to get in/out yourself). Grounds are lovely and natural rather than being maintained to a clinical level. Quite quiet when we arrived...

This is a perfect little heaven in the middle of the beautiful French countryside. A family owned chateaux, in the middle of the small forest, next to a small lake with swans. just go there, shut off your iphones, ipads, disconnect with the world and rest. If you have a day or two in your travels through France, just go...

We were hoping for that True French chateau experience when we booked, and we were not disappointed. Fantastic aged chateau in private grounds, totally authentic, right down to the creepy floorboards. Great room, fab pool, and our host, Jean Pierre was a delight. It's out of the way, so you need a car. Definitely recommended.

The chateau was once owned by one of Napoleon’s General and has kept that feeling of 19th century opulence yet with all of today’s necessities, TV, Wifi, etc. The room was recently renovated but kept a chateau’s look and feel. The park was beautiful and the lake with its majestic swans reminded me of an impressionist painting. Do not miss...

This Chateau is located in the countryside 9 Kms from the nearest village. This means a drive to town for meals and the restaurant options.are very poor. There are peacocks on the property that screech early in the morning and a gun goes off every 10 minutes to scare away birds 24 hours a day. Be warned that they do...

Responses to each of the points raised, so that each person can form their own opinion The château is located between the villages of Tournon St Pierre and Yzeures sur Creuse and is 4km from each village. There are restaurants in each village and a supermarket in Yzeures sur Creuse (please refer to the maps). A car is indeed essential,...

The chateau is in a beautiful location, inside a park and the lake - perfect for a getaway from noisy cities. It felt like a trip in the past, it is perfect for a leisure rowing on the lake, with the chateau in the background, book in hands. Happy there was a big pool as well. The room was beautiful,...

Beautiful chateau and the location! At the night is beautiful, during the day even more! Nice pool, lake and spacious pretty rooms. At the first night I noticed that there is too many insects coming inside the room, so you have to close the windows and spray some of them. Cleaning is not the strong part, as I found many...
