Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had 2 great nights in this peaceful scenic hotel. The views are incredible the staff are friendly, polite and helpful. They gave us a breakfast pack that was lovely as we were leaving for our plane before breakfast commenced. It was only a 50 minute drive to the airport.

I have been a regular visitor last 8 years to this hotel and I can really say that this hotel is something extra. It’s so hidden, so you really forget that you are only minutes away from the busy streets of Athens. With the Privat beach, amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner, you don’t really need to go anywhere. I have never seen a dirty room in this hotel so everything works really well. And to that, the prices are really low. I don't wanna write “to low” because then they might read this and increase the price. But to be fare, they could actually do it and it would still be with great value. I recommend this hotel for anybody, but maybe not for people looking for party. It’s mostly couples and families. I would also say that this is a great hotel if you would like to do both beach and city. Easy transport with the suburban train to Megara (9 euros from airport) and then call Megara taxi about 5 min before arriving to the train station. The drive from there is 10 min and will set you back around 15 euros.

This hotel is an incredible hidden gem less than an hour from anywhere in Athens. It was one of our favorite places we stayed and would love to return! It's very easy to reach, just off the main freeway heading toward Corinth, but located down below the freeway level near the beach so very quiet. Our room had a beautiful view of the Aegean, quiet and peaceful with a balcony so we enjoyed fresh air the sound of the sea at night. The restaurant on site is FANTASTIC -- some of the best food we had in Greece. This hotel in an incredible value and highly recommended!

LIFE DANGER! DON'T COME HERE! Seriously, don't visit this place! The entire ceiling in our bathroom came flying down at 5 a.m. in the morning. This was maximal life threatening. And while things like that shouldn't happen, the reaction and handling of the incident by the hotel plays also a role. The owner war very unfriendly and has refused to refund us or compensate us in any form. While the position and the view from the hotel are alright, the terrace and the restaurant are good. However - don't take a room. It's really that bad. I am not talking about a small chip from the ceiling - I am talking about the entire ceiling crashing down on you or your family member while sitting on the toilet - you get me?! Avoid this place at all costs! Besides all - you can hear the highway just behind the building when sitting on the balcony, beach and restaurant....

We only tried the restaurant and it was awful. We stopped over on our way to the airport for dinner. The bow of veggies arrived alone before the drinks. Food for the whole table was sent with exception of my - bill arrived without asking even before all sides and my food arrived. Terrible food, tasted really bad and service was awful. Don’t eat there.

We visited here to break the journey from Piraeus to Patras . Its a lovely location, right on the beach. Great outside restaurant and bar. rooms nice with a terrace overlooking the sea. Food outstanding with a good buffet breakfast. Staff very friendly. Free WIFI. The parking area is quite small and tight. We returned to the hotel on our way back to Piraeus 3 weeks later just for a late lunch and still had wonderful service and food. Certainly recommended

I stayed here for work as the hotel my colleagues were all in (at 3 x the price) was full when I decided to come. I fell on my feet completely! Clean room with a great view out to sea - saw dolphins from the balcony! Bed was comfortable. Parking easy but I was there in the week Sun-Fri with work and can imagine it gets cramped at the weekend when people visit the beach. The beach looked average. I went for some great runs on the roads and old, unused train track nearby. The evening food was outstanding. For such a reasonably placed restaurant and hotel I was delighted by the quality. I ate in twice and I had lamb shank one night and a selection of seafood the other. If I come back for work then I’ll stay here again.

An out of the way really nice hotel with excellent staff. A great stop off location when either travelling to or from Athens. Great food at reasonable prices and superb breakfast. Restaurant open until 2300 I believe making late arrival OK.

I was to stay at the Hotel Cokkinis for just one night as a relatively convenient way to get to an early flight, but, the Transportation Strike of March 2023 impacted (i.e. canceled) my five-day sojourn to Sicily with one day in Istanbul and I felt like rescheduling was not possible so I shifted gears because I liked the Hotel Cokkinis so much, I ended up staying six nights! I could not recommend this hotel right on the Aegean Sea more strongly, with a family feel, high quality rooms, wonderful breakfast, and an absolutely great location to take day trips into Athens or into Nafpoli or any dozen (or more) of historic sites that are the foundation of Western Civilization! I strongly suggest you get off the toll roads and drive on the old main roads to get a feel of both the water the surrounds Greece and the the wonderful people and towns/cities that make up this beautiful country, and this Hotel is perfectly situated for all of this at a very fair rate. The walls are not the most sound-proof, but that is the only negative I can stretch. I would never hesitate to stay here again, the staff are so kind and accommodating, and offerring of guidance on places to visit if you came unprepared like me to spend time as a tourist. If I could give 20 out of 10 stars, the Hotel Cokkinis deserves all 20!! Thank you Hotel Cokkinis for doing everything right! Mark

We first stayed here 5 years ago, and on returning this year was even better than last time. The bed was huge, comfortable and the views incredible. Staff were friendly and helpful (even loaning us an adaptor when I realised I'd brought UK >> USA, not UK >> Europe- oops). The food (last time a bit hit and miss) was wonderful- big portions, varied menu and all delicious. We were able to eat dinner outside every night and swim in the sea still. The only minor downsides are that the parking can be awkward, and the rooms are not particularly well soundproofed, especially through the ventilation in the toilet / shower. It's fabulous hotel and I hope to be able to revisit for many more years.
