Primrose House B&B in Cotgrave was a really good find. We were greeted by hosts Paul and Susie (and their gorgeous black lab, Chip) who were warm, friendly and welcoming. Breakfasts were delicious and freshly prepared using eggs from their resident hens. During breakfast the log burner was fired up, which made our stay even cosier. We stayed in Weavers’ room which was spacious, light, airy and immaculately presented. The bathroom was well appointed and the cleaning of all areas was to a very high standard. It was a home from home for us and we enjoyed a thoroughly relaxing break - nothing was too much trouble for these fabulous hosts! We hope to stay at Primrose House B&B again, sometime soon. Thank you to Paul and Susie for a fabulous stay - you run a very lovely business, and you deserve 5 stars, because you are 5 star worthy!…
We stayed 2 nights with our 5 months old puppy and the owners could not have been more accommodating. We had a takeaway supper the first night, as the village pubs have been closed due to Covid. Our breakfasts were served in the delightful dining room near the oak framed kitchen and our puppy was allowed to stay with us, as he would have been too nervous to stay in our room. The back Labrador who lives at the property was tolerant of our puppy. Ideally we would have liked a ground floor room, but only the blue room was available when we booked. With a window open from the blue room, the road was noisy with traffic early in the morning and late at night.
My wedding party and I stayed here the night before/night of the wedding and I'm so glad we did. It added to the experience and was the perfect venue. Only 8 minutes from our wedding venue (carriage hall, Plumtree), the rooms were all exceptional, breakfast was amazing and Susie and Paul were fantastic hosts. Nothing was too much trouble them, they ensured we had a excellent stay from start to finish! We've already discussed staying agsin for our 1 year anniversary although I'll probably end up booking again before then!
We booked an overnight stay at Primrose House on our way bac to London following a break in North Yorkshire. The first thing to say is that Susie and Paul are very welcoming and friendly. On arrival we were greeted with tea and delicious homemade cake! We had the windmill room which was comfortable and spacious and included the beam from an actual windmill. Following a restful night's sleep we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, including homemade bread and freshly laid eggs! We would not hesitate to recommend Primrose House to anyone looking for a break near to Nottingham
We stayed in the weavers room and found it, modern, comfortable and immaculate. We were greeted by Sue with a kind offer of a hot beverage and a slice of cake after our long journey. We had a wonderful weekend and really enjoyed our time at Primrose house. We couldn’t recommend it enough and can’t wait to return.
