We loved our stay at the White Swan. I had booked a 2 night stop for our anniversary. A friend found out we were stopping here and before we arrived rang the White Swan and arranged a little surprise, when we were shown to our room, there were rose petals scattered on the bed and the floor, the towels folded into love hearts, a bottle of proseco and 2 champagne flutes on the bed, a little touch that we thought was lovely. We didn't eat at the White Swan, we are creatures of habit and had breakfast and evening meal at the beefeater attached to the Premier Inn which is a 3 minute walk up the road. We do intend to stay again in the not too distant future and perhaps eat here aswell. If there is one criticism its the size of the cups in the room for tea and coffee, one mouthful and they're empty. Come on I'm a Yorkshire man and you're in the heart of Yorkshire, we drink tea by the bucket load 😀

Very spacious and comfortable room, spotlessly clean, and recently updated with modern fittings. It is probably ideal for an overnight before an early flight from the nearby airport which seems to be its main client base. It has good sound insulation so we didn’t really notice the aircraft noise.

We also had dinner. The burgers were moist and well cooked, with good crispy fries. Our son enjoyed his Halloumi kebabs and Fig and Goat cheese starter. The ice cream desserts were good quality too. The staff were helpful and friendly.

For a longer stay we would suggest a couple of improvements. We needed to use our WiFi, so information in the room how to access it would be useful, especially for those who don’t want to use Facebook. There were tea making facilities, but only 2 teabags and 3 small portions of milk, which were not refreshed on the second day, probably fine for a single person but not enough for 2. So we bought our own milk and teabags. The website also suggests we could arrange breakfast but this has not been resumed since Covid began. We had a decent breakfast at the nearby Premier Inn, but the website needs updating. And we haven’t previously had to pay for the full 2 day stay in advance, so that needs to be clearly stated.

This is a pleasant hotel and well used by local people who enjoy the ambiance, drinks and food, as we did.

We visited The White Swan for Sunday lunch today. I cannot recommend it highly enough. We booked quickly and easily via their website, choosing to sit outside on the decking in anticipation of the beautiful weather. We checked in quickly and easily and were able to choose a table as the decking was quiet when we arrived. We ordered food and drinks easily via the app, Apple Pay is a fab addition to the app! We ordered 2 beef Sunday lunches and 2 children’s meals. Drinks came promptly and there was not a long wait for the meals. The adaptation that I had asked for to one of the children’s meals was picked up via the app and actioned. The food was fantastic, tender beef and the most delicious roast potatoes. The boys enjoyed their fish nuggets and sausages as well. The staff were all cheerful, professional and willing to help. I really cannot recommend them highly enough, we will be back soon!

Pre ordered a vegetarian risotto for a private function but was served a seafood risotto...pointed out the mistake to the waiter who then left the risotto in front of me for 10mins before asking if a risotto cooked in fish sauce was ok!! I pointed out this would not be vegetarian which is worrying that the chef had no concept of what vegetarian meant and the risotto was obviously already pre cooked. Then after most others in the party had finished eating was offered a veg meal from a clip board menu. Ordered a veg burger which came as a piece of pepper and two mushrooms in a brioche bun. Not a good meal at all.

The organiser ordered seafood and the guest ordered mushroom, a preorder to this effect was given. When this was pointed out our staff rushed to fix the problem but our chef advised that the risotto’s are pre- cooked in fish. Our manager pointed this out and explained and offered the main menu to choose from as the guest advised they were happy with this. Everything was eaten off their plates, everyone said they enjoyed everything and they left a £25 tip so not sure where all this review came from.

The White Swan Yeadon.

The White Swan in Yeadon is an independent bar and restaurant also offering accommodations and located in Yeadon with rooms with garden views.

What a surprise as we have never been here before but found that lunch and Sunday lunch are extremely good.

There are 3 areas of the pub which are either side of the entrance and one room at the rear.

We decided to visit The White Swan in Yeadon for lunch and another visit afterwards for Sunday lunch. Both visits we were not disappointed by the quality of food and service. We were very impressed. There was a brilliant atmosphere and friendly efficient staff in a relaxed environment.

The menu is varied and extension offering freshly cooked food served hot. The lunch menu is from 12-5pm.We enjoyed the BBQ Pulled Pork Meat on toasted ciabatta topped with shredded mozzarella served with fries and slaw £8.95. Another lunchtime we also ordered Meatballs Arrabbiata which were homemade in a rich arrabbiata sauce on a toasted ciabatta topped with shredded mozzarella served with fries and slaw £8.25.

The Sunday lunch was spectacular with a choice of starter, mains and dessert. We opted for the starters chorizo and king prawn £6.50 and Dill cream cheese smoked salmon roll £6.25 and roast chicken dinner which was served with roast potatoes, honey roasted parsnips, stuffing, red cabbage, buttered carrots, green beans and yorkshire pudding.

We would definitely recommend The White Swan in Yeadon for a place to eat for lunch and Sunday lunch.

Booked a table to meet friends for a drink and a bite to eat. What a farce having to go all the way around the back to a little hut to he booked in by the chef, to then go all the way back around to the cobbles as that's the only available table. Was there for 3 painful hours and during that time watched every poor customer struggle as there was no structure or continuity whatsoever. Eventually ordered some drinks and a portion of chunky chips which were very expensive, paid via the app, then had a 20 min wait before the drinks finally arrived. Asked twice after this as to where the chips were to be told there's a long delay in food. There was nothing on the app nor did the staff make us aware of this on sitting down. Finally 45 minutes they arrived. I can only say what a huge disappointment!!!! They were like warm, soggy and sparce, no seasoning. They were also £3.50!!!!!! All we heard whilst sat trying to enjoy the sunshine was utter dis-organised chaos all around. Customers were complaining left right and centre about the food, the drinks and the system. They called staff over a few times but were ignored. What a joke. There were older customers who had just come for a drink and were bamboozled by the app and no clear instructions of what to do to adhere to covid guidelines. Two booked taxis back home within 20 mins of sitting at a table, others leaned they couldn't pay cash or card and left to go to another pub down the road. Very poor effort White Swan.

Just returned from a lovely stay at this hotel in Yeadon .

I knew when booking the hotel that it was going to be a little bit different , as it is a restaurant downstairs and has a pub side i was a little bit reserved . i was completely wrong .

The room was absolutely 5 stars , the location is amazing and the staff are a credit to you . Upon arrival it was pretty late on a Friday night and we were greeted by a lovely young man who checked us in (didn't get his name but he was amazing ) , he walked us to our room , helped with cases and explained how we check out if no one is there and also showed us fire exists ect, making us feel at ease .

The other man behind the bar was equally as lovely and told us the WIFI password , offered us food and drink and couldn't do enough for us .

The hallways and stairs on the way to the room were immaculate and the room was very clean , felt fresh and spacious . They had cold water awaiting us in the room as well as coffee , milk and biscuits which was a nice touch . (the cakes on the bar downstairs also looked unreal )

We had a lovely night stay , no noise for downstairs at all although the general vibe form the pub was nicer anyway , it didn't seem at all rowdy .

We didn't stay for breakfast although it looked lovely and i would definitely stay again for a longer time .

Thank you for being amazing guys

Sol x

Booked this hotel as we always stayed at the Premier Inn when flying the following morning but their standards have been dropping over the years and this place seemed like a great alternative.

Arrived and found the little reception area inside and was dealt with by a very pleasant chap who checked us in, took our payment, gave us our key and escorted us to our room, which was just on the first floor (room 1).

The room was beautifully decorated and extremely clean as was the bathroom.

We ventured to the bar which was busy but the pub/hotel was hosting two events that Saturday evening (a 50th & an 18th) so this was to be expected however this did not stop us from being served at the bar quickly and by some very pleasant staff.

Over the course of the evening we "people watched" and then eventually ordered some food, which was very nice.

With the thought of two parties going on, we did think we would have difficulty getting to sleep early (we were leaving at 5.00am) but that wasn't the case even with our bedroom window left open for air. The beds were comfy and we both slept very well.

The morning shower was a little bit of a let down as it wasn't as powerful as we would have liked but from reading other reviews that have mentioned this and the hotels response, this is due to the general age of the building and the amount of water pressure so it's not a major issue.

Needless to say, we won't be staying at the Premier Inn again and look forward to booking again the next time we have a flight out of LBA. We shall also be recommending the hotel to our customers (we own a pub near Brighouse) should they need such accommodation in the future.

We had a 40th Birthday party here and the staff were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us, The food was plentiful - we couldn't eat it all, great value for money and everyone commented on how nice it all was, especially the Tuna sandwiches.
We regularly come to pub anyway for the Sunday lunches and drinks outside when the weather is nice. Its a very friendly and welcoming place.

My sister and I have just been for a delicious long lunch here. It was lovely in terms of food, location, atmosphere and friendliness. I had the spicy chicken kebab with mint & raita dip and fries; and my sister had the chicken burger, again with fries. Both were gorgeous and presented beautifully. The meals were tasty and fresh, and good sized portions.
This is actually my local pub, but I haven't eaten in there for ages, as it did go really down hill a few years ago under different management. I am delighted that it now a local to be proud of, as the actual building and location (just next to the cricket ground) is idyllic.
I am already looking forward to returning another day, perhaps after 5pm for the evening tapas menu and/or on a Sunday for a calvery roast lunch!
Thank you for providing the setting for a really lovely afternoon for my sister and me! See you again soon ....
