This is a really lovely spot. Right on the beach with views to some of the islands. A range of sites, the more expensive ones have loads of space. There are three toilet blocks, all of which are well maintained, the water pressure is invigorating. The swimming pool is a bonus. Camp managers are excellent. The weekly sausage sizzle is...

We have stayed in a huge number of caravan parks, but this park stands out from the rest. Yes, it checks all of the tick boxes required of a 5 star review, great location next to a wonderful beach, swimming pool, clean and personalized toilet and laundry facilities, and a great range of van sites, from the frugal to the...

How many places in the world can you get water frontage at this price? Absolutely fantastic location. It never seizes to amaze me how some people would rate this venue poorly, but then again, some people you will never be able to please. I guess some expect champagne on a beer budget. I have stayed here multiple times in the...

Just outside of Mackay on the northside. Friendly welcome from Fran in reception gives you an indication of the feel of this caravan park. Situated right on the beach. Clean amenities ,sausage sizzle on a Thursday with a warming fire. Lovely place to stay and relax.

I can't give this five stars overall because of the age of the park but everything else is worth the full five. Arriving on Fathers Day we enjoyed a free stack your own free burger lunch. A delicious treat. The staff are simply lovely people to deal with and we enjoyed a drive through site complete with concrete slab. Yes...

This is a small caravan park which is suitable for vans and motor homes. There is a mixture between people who come north to stay in this warm place for several weeks or months each year, and those who pass through and stay a night or two. A Surprising number of those who come in transit choose to extend their...

After viewing the website, we were a bit hesistant about staying here (with 3 kids), but so glad we did. Park managers were so friendly and welcoming, and we really enjoyed our stay. There are sandflies and mosquitos, but once we had the mossie coils burning and a bit of spray, it was fine. Close to Mackay but without the...

If you're looking for beachfront then this is it. The park is a bit dated, however, Pat and Macca do a pretty good job of keeping it tidy and the amenities clean. Pat and Macca put free sausage sizzle nights on Thursdays and pizza nights on Sunday's (cost). The park is on the northern beaches about 10km from the city...

Remember when camping meant sand and sunshine and laid-back friendly spaces? You can revisit that experience in this park and delight in a world you thought was lost. Big, brassy, bumptious Mackay is on the doorstep and then this scrap of Paradise has been preserved on the outskirts at the beach. You can walk the shining sands, hear the tide...
