I can't say enough about this hideaway called the Willerby Manor. Beautiful grounds that are peaceful and immaculate, A spa and Pool that help you relax before climbing into a comfortable bed in a quiet room to have a great nights sleep.....what more could you want...except a fabulous breakfast in the morning...

Last night We checked in to the hotel and all we wanted to have is a shower after a long day at work, however the room had no running water. we wasn’t told on checking in so we wasn’t even able to flush the toilet . This is totally unacceptable as the hotel was aware of the issue, and at a time of an epidemic we could not even wash our hands, you are happy to except guests that couldn’t wash there hands , which makes the question how was staff able to clean and prepare food . The apology we received from your receptionist was very poor and as if she wasn’t bothered about our stay . We did reserve a refund and checked within an hour. however we should never have been checked in, or given the option if told at the time of checking in. We would of thought that we would received an emailed or telephone apology from a manager and an explanation as to why you allowed people to check in to there hotel with no basic working sanitary.

We attended as guests a Charity Ball last night in the Pavillion suite, to my absolute disgust and horror the ladies and gents toilets had no running water - all the cubicles were over flowing with urine and used toilet tissue, No sanitizer to be found anywhere, a small coffee jug was placed by the side of one of the sinks - not enough water to fill a cup let allow wash your hands , staff didn’t seem to care, I felt sick to think I eaten a meal, (I have to say that was quite nice) but if the public have no toilet or hand washing facilities what about the staff - over 200 people there surely a hotel that size could have portable cubical toilet cabins brought in - totally spoiled the evening - thank god the host on our table hand hand sanitizer in her bag 😡

Met with friends for a meal in the restaurant (Figs). Nothing wildly exotic on the menu - just good, honest fare. My beer-battered haddock and chips was sublime : melted in the mouth. Generous, piping hot portion served by friendly staff. Great value for money, too.

Met here and used the Figs Brasserie to have a meeting with a business partner. The brasserie served excellent tea and coffee which were brought to us and presented well. The staff were polite and attentive. The surroundings were really lovely and it was a good place to do some work. There were plugs for our laptops and the seating was comfortable too. The car park has lots of spaces and the hotel itself is situated near to supermarkets (Waitrose, Aldi etc) and is in a very good area called Willerby. We will definitely return here.
