This place was amazing. The sea view was stunning and the family who owns it were so friendly and talkative. Great pool and a jacuzzi. With a shop nearby and cheap local restaurant just 10 minutes away by the beach. Just perfect relaxation. Breakfast were prepared by the family and served on our balcony. If you are looking for a B&B and a local experience then this can surely be recommended

A clean spacious top floor apartment which is well maintained. Gorgeous sea views to the rear and close to a small shop. Excellent outdoor areas to share a family meal. Air conditioning was welcomed as it gets very hot during summer. There is a lovely clean pool and a jacuzzi. However, I wouldn't recommend the accommodation for families with children as children are not permitted to play with a ball in the pool. There are aren't any signs to suggest this or anything stated on the website through which I booked. Other families staying there with young children didn't seem too happy about this either. The owner was approachable and offered alternative suggestions as to where the children could play in the water (beach) but that's not really the point. I would recommend this accommodation for young and older couples wanting lots of peace and quiet.

Response from dgvince, Proprietario at Oasi del Borgo
Responded 19 Jul 2019
Dear Gareth, Thanks for your review. Every season we have happy families with children in our property. I suppose because our little property is safe, completely fenced and many accommodations are very close to the pool then you can look for your children also staying in your apartment terrace. Unfortunately, it's not possible to play with ball in a 50sm pool that you have to share with other guests. Sorry but we believe this was obvious. Can you imagine that sometime neither in the beach you can play with ball, and about you it's a normal thing what you did for 5 out of 7 days stay? It's a matter of respect for people around you. It's not easy for me understand your positive review for all the rest and instead complain for this. Anyway, really really apologies for that. I hope that you can come again and enjoy our property, as other people do, just relax and enjoy :)

The house was as described at the Tripadvisor page. Perfect located between Agrigento and Sciacca. The village Bonsignore was dull. A grocery store for vegatables, fruit, bread and the most necessary grocceries is just at a distance of only 250 meters. A 15 min drive to Ribera and you will get everything you need. The house was very clean, but the bedroom with the bunk bed was dusty. Maybe not cleaned because the previous guest didn't have children. The view from the poolside was really great. The pool, jacuzzi and garden were very well maintained. Vincenzo was very helpfull to answer your questions. He's living in the house at the property. The property is fully fenced included the car parking. Although we had an own terrace, we enjoyed our breakfast and diner at the covered patio outside near to the pool, due to the great views. Downhill, a 4 minute drive, is a beach without service. But the beach is not crowded. In the high season we watched the sunset without other people around us. A walk along the beach to Capo Bianco is recommended. From the house a 5 km walk and back. B&B is also posible. Take anti-mosquitoes stuff, because they are active in the evening. The house has mosquitoes screens , leave it closed. We can recommend this house for small families and couples

The location is very quiet and peaceful, however we went in May and the town of Borgo Bonsignore is totally deserted. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the owners very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again. Very good wifi

We went there at end of season (end September) and the place was quite and relaxing, exactly what we wanted. Lovely pool, well fitted bungalows, good parking space. And the owner was very friendly and helpful but not invasive.

Located in a small village with great views of the coast and wild beaches nearby, this offers fairly comfortable self catering and B&B accommodation. There is a nice pool area and well kept grounds, while the rooms are functional and well maintained, with good facilities and the owner Vincenzo is extremely helpful. It's not particularly cheap and the village is very isolated, with only a small store and one cafe, but it is in a good position for touring Agrigento, Selinunte and other parts of the south coast of Sicily. Palermo is not that far away either.

What a great find! This place is stunning and very comfortable. We have really enjoyed our stay here. The owners were extremely welcoming and friendly, they couldn't have been more helpful. If you are looking for nightlife, this is not the place for you but if you want somewhere relaxing in a beautiful setting you could not find anywhere better. June seems very quiet and not everything in the area is open yet but Ribera is not far to go for essentials. Great restaurant in Ereaclea Minoa, which is about 2 miles away. A car is a must. We enjoyed exploring villages in the mountains with spectacular views We hope to return to this beautiful place.

We really loved this place especially the great views over the sea from the rooms and pool area. Very inspirational. The location is great, far from the crowds and busy roads – very rural, in a small village. When we were there, there were no places to eat locally so we drove over to the nearby Eraclea Minoa ruins and found some restaurants there, roughly 15min drive. One of the best aspects of this place is its proximity to the nearby forest reserve and beach. We went for beautiful runs/walks through the reserve – really magical – only 1-2 km away within easy walking distance. We received a very warm welcome from Lorenzo who supplied us with all the local information. Although the setting was absolutely stunning, the room itself (a 2-bedroom unit) was fairly average, a little bit small and dark with not nearly enough windows. It was however very nice sitting out on the veranda enjoying the view. The kitchen was fully functional but we had no lounge or living area. There are a few mosquitos around, but the doors and windows are fully screened. Good free Wifi internet in the rooms and pool area. Overall we had a magnificent stay and I would definitely recommend this place to other travelers who want a relaxing stay in a beautiful setting. I hope that we can come back here again.

What a wonderful holiday we had in this holiday bungalow The accommodation was fantastic it certainly lived up to our expectations - it was perfect for our family of four adults - the Jacuzzi is a nice added extra close to the swimming pool and we all enjoyed sitting there and relaxing in the sunshine and at the end of the day. We didn't see another English family anywhere in Southern Sicily - but that was perfect - we were certainly made to feel welcome wherever we went. Oasi del Borgo is conveniently situated for the nature reserve and we've enjoyed having early morning walks through the forest and also we certainly enjoyed the extensive beach. In respect of things to do, we were particularly impressed with the Valley of the Temples, which to be honest is completely stunning and we have never experienced such fine examples of Greek architecture back from fifth century BC - We also visited the Roman Villa on our way back to the airport. Although the accommodation is quite a distance from Catania airport we made use of a stopover overnight, on the first day of arrival. I was so glad that we did as Enna is a beautiful town and gave us a great opportunity to be part Sicilian life. The following morning, our journey got us to the accommodation and Vincenzo was there to make us feel completely welcome from the outset We will certainly recommend it to anyone who asks us

Four of us enjoyed a three day stay. It was a great location for visiting the Valley of the Temples, as well as Sciacca and some beaches along the coast. A car is essential. The owners are friendly and obliging. A quiet hideaway. Good for self catering. Clean and comfortable.
