Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Iyengar yoga instruction was great! Classes were held in a semi-enclosed deck space that protected us from the elements but still allowed us to be one with nature, feel the wind, and listen to the local hiats and birds. Classes were paced so that we still had enough energy to explore Crete in between our 3.5 hours of yoga a day. Learned a lot and my body started to really open up by the end of the week. Something for all levels, including more challenging poses like handstand and rope wall inversions. The vegetarian meals were also awesome. What a spread! Crete was beautiful and I enjoyed the outings to local beaches and boat rides. Plenty of local eateries to try non-veg Cretian cuisine as well. Eugenia and Nikos were exceptionally helpful in helping me to plan my trip there and secure lodging. Recommend this yoga retreat!

Wow!! I had such a beautiful experience at Yogaoncrete. Eugenia, Nikos and all the staff were just so kind, friendly and lovely. Eugenia is a wonderful teacher. Her knowledge is incredible. I've done iyengar before, but I've learnt so much from her. She's an incredibly kind and wonderful human being. My room was amazing and the food was to die for. The house felt so warm and cosy, a home from home. It is just a short walk to the local village which has everything you need. The local bakerys were soo good. There's a lovely little beach too and the sea is crystal clear. I just can't fault it. I'm going back next year for sure.

Wonderful place, highly recommendable. Lovely people, friendly atmosphere, delicious food - and importantly, they have a serious approach to yoga. Constantinos is a very insightful and inspiring yoga teacher.

Very well equipped yoga studio in Sfakion, miles away from all the endless and mindless resorts on the north coast of Crete. The studio is largely out in the fresh air, but a section under fans for when it's hot. Wall ropes fitted as well, so a chance for experimentation. We didn't stay in the accommodation in the retreat, but there are lots of places within a few minutes walk, as is the harbour and the waterfront with its restaurants and bars. The retreat itself provides a lovely selection of vegetarian food to eat after the yoga sessions. There is a shaded courtyard with a stunning view over the harbour and the Libyan Sea. Somewhere to be treasured and recommended.

Loved wonderful week here- beautiful garden to eat under the Bougainvillea with stunning mountain and sunset views and yoga studio with ropes etc. set around old olive trees. Wonderful vegetarian buffet made with love by Maria- I have never eaten so well on holiday- delicious, generous, varied and wholesome every day for brunch and dinner. Eugenia made us fell so at home and helped plan trips such as a visit to a mud beach (great fun and left with very soft skin!) and beach sunset yoga with our wonderful teacher Rosana. Skafia lovely village and stunning beaches with crystal clear water and coves to swim and explore. Perfect!

This was a 7 day Iyengar yoga retreat. Eugenia and Nikos were wonderful hosts - always caring to help their guests have the best experience possible, including offering suggestions of activities before during and after the retreat. We often took short ferry rides to nearby beaches (loutro, sweet water and mamara) in the afternoons, as well as going to the local Vrissi beach. The food was great - brunch after morning yoga and dinner after evening yoga. Vegetarian and very tasty - using fresh local products and introducing us to local dishes. The yoga shala was covered and had fans - which was really important in the very hot weather we had in July. Constantinos lead the two daily Iyengar yoga sessions - his approach is very much to understand the physiological aspects of yoga, rather than just doing the asanas - as a result I feel like my practice has deepened and new levels have been opened up. overall a wonderful experience

The Yoga on Crete experience is extremely rich and gratifying. The quality of the teaching is mind-blowing, the hosts warm and super-organized, the house itself beautiful to the very last detail and the food beyond this world. A blessed place, in all respects.

This is my third visit and it's an amazing place both for yoga and vacation. The house feels like home from the moment you arrive and Constantinos' yoga classes are literally life saving. Eugenia and Nikkos (the hosts) are beautiful people and great organizers. I recommend this for everyone interested in yoga (and beautiful beaches).

This place is just gorgeous, I fell in love with the food....the garden, the setting and the yoga. The hosts make you feel like you are at home. They are so kind and thoughtful. I find it hard to switch off but this retreat made it easy. Maria is like an angel....her massage was amazing and the food was made with love. Would love to visit again.
