We cannot recommend Buenos Dias Guest House enough! Bernardo and Eva are the most friendly hosts imaginable. They are very knowledgable about the area, and can recommend many day trips and sights to explore. They are also so friendly, helpful and make you feel like you are part of their family. A basic and delicious breakfast of bread, fruit, yogurt,...

This was a very comfortable, clean, well run, friendly place. Lots of healthy choices & great coffee for self serve breakfast at outdoor tables. You could read at the tables or lying in hammocks on the ground level. The owners, Eva and Bernardo, were incredibly warm and helpful - especially with a problem car rental on our first day. We...

This is not a luxury experience; it is a very well ran, well maintained property outside of the tourist area. It is a good place to be for an affordable price. It does not come with a view or anything fancy, but it does come with friendliness, cleanliness, and a feeling of home.

My husband and I chose to stay out of the Cancun Hotel Zone to avoid the madness. Puerto Morelos is perfectly located south of Cancun so you can easily get back there if you want. It is also closer to Cozumel a central point very easy for us to drive to Tulum, Coba, Chitchen Itza, and the very lovely and...

Wanting an easy commute to CUN on departure day, I read reviews for nearby Puerto Morales. Buenos Dias' good reviews looked good. Owner Bernardo's quick text (have US phone # for easy communication) back and offer to take $US, Pesos or currency combination sealed the deal. A bit of a splurge @ US$39 for my first floor room (air, fan,...

Our trip began in Cancun, where we spent 4 days. We then took a charter bus (cost was about 70 pesos/person or $4) from the bus station in Cancun to Puerto Morelos, where we spent 3 days. We were dropped off in Puerto Morelos and walked with our luggage to Buenos Dias (about .7 mi from the gas station which...

I thought I submitted this review already but here goes a second effort! I booked one night at the Buenos Dias to give myself a chance to visit Puerto Morelos before heading down toward Akumal/Tulum. Arriving in the dark, Eva and then Sergio gave me perfect directions to arrive at their guesthouse. Sergio could not have been more friendly and...

We chose this little hostal/hotel because of low cost and funky atmosphere, and only for a short one-night sty. The rooms were clean and cute, and the exterior is colorful and interesting the lizard and frog ceramics. Eva, the owner, is a friendly woman and speaks english well. She accomodated an early morning need for coffee for me, which I...

I'm sorry you had a hot, rainy visit but please remember an air conditioned room was offered: 7 our 10 rooms are air conditioned. Actually we do have solar heating which can be slow, especially after rainy weather. If speaking directly with another guest is difficult please feel free to contact us. We hope to have the opportunity to give...

My Buddy and I stayed at Buenos Diaz for 10 days in October and we had a great time. This was due in part to Eva and Burnie who are the super owners. We had a nice room with a large TV so we got to watch the playoffs and with the saved money, visit all of the tourist spots....
