This place is really beautiful and and a perfect for couples. My boyfriend booked a 2 night stay at Treebones and I love the Yurt we stayed in! The Yurt is spacious and clean with a sink and heater. I love star-gazing and you can see lots of stars on a clear night (there's a porch next to the yurt,...

As soon as I arrived, I knew I had found somewhere incredibly special. The location is stunning and my yurt (no. 15 which was an ocean view with fireplace) was very luxurious. This is glamping and not camping. The atmosphere of the place is relaxing and the staff were friendly. The restaurant was pricey but fair value as the food...

Thank you for your review! You nailed us! and thanks for reminding others to bring flashlights...it certainly helps with those midnight trips to the restrooms.

Two good buddies and I were on a 7-day cycling trip from San Francisco to San Diego, and we were looking forward to our one "glamping" experience. After an arduous 120-mile ride from Santa Cruz, we arrived at Treebones, exhausted, and ready for a beer and shower. Dom, a super friendly young man working the desk, had some apparent difficulties...

This was clearly a case where this person thought he had a confirmed reservation for himself and his two buddies, but had indeed not paid for one. They arrived tired and hot and had cycled a long way that day. It took a while to sort through how this had occurred and I'm afraid he misinterpreted the time it took...

Treebones is glamping at its finest. We stayed in yurt #11, with a "partial ocean view", however you really get a full ocean view with a few yurts between you and the ocean (not a big deal!) Pros: 1. The yurts are very comfortable and clean. I don't camp - I felt comfortable at all times! 2. The bathrooms are...

Wow, stunning place. Had a sea view yurt with such a fantastic view. Immaculate inside and the fire makes it very cosy at night. Lovely grounds, ideal for relaxing and switching off. Really friendly staff and AMAZING food. Thanks for a lovely stay

We stayed at a campsite, not in a yurt. It was windy and misty, but still it is a very special place to stay, waking up to the sound of sea lions, and when the mist clears the views are fantastic. Dinner at the restaurant is really very good. Breakfast is so-so, compared to the dinner. It is nice to...

Thank you for pointing out that Treebones is located at the southern end of Big Sur....and yes! this makes for more solitary hiking experiences on the local trails.

We stayed at Treebones because of all the amazing Tripadvisor reviews, which I have found to be generally reliable. I was really anticipating our one night stay as we drove up the coast this summer.(I was wanting to stay 2 nights, but I couldn't get the booking). I could tell almost instantly that Treebones wasn't going to work for me,...

The yurt roofs are made of a sturdy rainproof vinyl, not plastic; more information about these unique structures can be found on the homepage of Pacific Yurts, the company that builds them. Treebones is a unique but remote and rugged venue. If you are not prepared to drive long twisty roads to get here, sleep in a tent -like structure,...

The location at the top of a mountain so near the coast makes for dome wild wheather... We pitched a tent there and the wind was so strong we had to put giant rocks inside to keep it from blowing away !!!! In august !!! we stayed in yurt 16 and had a great view of the ocean. The food inc sushi is amazing and well worth the money. I would advise you dont read all the reviews to save yourself the surprise of the magical experience of treebones. Take binoculars if you are going in whale season and ENJOY!
