Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have just returned from this amazing B&B - we immediately felt welcomed and at home in this beautifully decorated home. Chris & Janine are wonderful welcoming hosts, our room was just lovely with a fabulous view and little extras and treats to make us feel well and truly spoiled. The breakfast is amazing and perfectly cooked with the best homemade toast we’ve ever had!! Hamish was an absolute sweetie and we would’ve taken him home if we could!! Thank you so much Chris & Janine for a lovely short stay and for the lovely welcome you gave to us and our daughter Freya - will will definitely be back!

What a brilliant BnB. Chris and Janine were the most brilliant hosts and nothing was too much trouble. We really couldn’t have asked for anything more. Can’t fault them or the BnB. Thank you so much.

We stayed here as we had a wedding locally so as a family, 9 of us !! We took over the whole place and were looked after perfectly. Janine and Chris were so welcoming and helpful with directions. We had many different food needs and they met all of them with such high standards. We were full from breakfast for most of the day. We talk about the place often as a family and hope to find sometime to go back again and stay longer. The rooms were so comfortable and luxurious, such great value for the price too. I was worried that our late return and older kids would have been a disturbance for them but they are tucked away and no trouble to them. Thank you so much for having us all and taking such care xx

This is an exceptional B&B. Janine & Chris (and their lovely dog, Hamish) made us so welcome into their beautifully furnished home, enabling us to have a wonderfully relaxing break in this pretty Nottinghamshire village. Our en-suite bedroom was luxuriously appointed with everything you could possibly need. Breakfast is first class - definitely recommend the Full English and Janice’s amazing marmalade - and served in the magnificent orangery overlooking the pretty garden. We recommend exploring the quaint village on foot including the paths along the nearby River Soar.

This place is absolutely AMAZING! We booked St Anne's House direct as we were attending a wedding reception a few miles away and our stay was FAULTLESS. Janine and Chris couldn't do enough for us and their home is STUNNING. Soooo many little extras, in fact too many to list. The room/ensuite was spacious with quality furnishings, bedding, furniture. Our stay was topped off with an outstanding breakfast (includes home made toasted bread) served in the orangery with great views of the pristine garden. The added bonus is little Hamish, their Scottie dog - he is absolutely adorable. We will definitely be back as we didn't use some of those extras so plan to take full advantage next time! The only downside to writing this review is the fact that they might be too full to accommodate us 😀. Don't delay, get booking...you will not be disappointed.

Highly recommend this B and B. Chris, Janine and Hamish are warm and friendly hosts who will do absolutely anything for you. Chris breakfasts are fabulous - highly recommend the full English - and Janine makes amazing marmalade. The rooms are lovely and large and we had one of the en-suite rooms which was stocked with lovely toiletries. Situated in a beautiful part of the country. We loved it so much we’ve booked to come back next year in April. A must visit b and b.
