This place is absolutely AMAZING! We booked St Anne's House direct as we were attending a wedding reception a few miles away and our stay was FAULTLESS. Janine and Chris couldn't do enough for us and their home is STUNNING. Soooo many little extras, in fact too many to list. The room/ensuite was spacious with quality furnishings, bedding, furniture. Our stay was topped off with an outstanding breakfast (includes home made toasted bread) served in the orangery with great views of the pristine garden. The added bonus is little Hamish, their Scottie dog - he is absolutely adorable. We will definitely be back as we didn't use some of those extras so plan to take full advantage next time! The only downside to writing this review is the fact that they might be too full to accommodate us 😀. Don't delay, get booking...you will not be disappointed.

This was our second stay at St.Anne's House where Janine and Chris offer a very warm welcome The accommodation is modern and comfortable with luxurious bedrooms and the use of a visitors "snug" during our stay Breakfast is exceptional with every opportunity taken to showcase local produce, prepared to order, and served in a beautiful atrium with views of the gardens. What makes this BnB special is the care and attention paid to guests by the owners. From a high standard of cleanliness , freshness of the food ,real milk with the complimentary in room beverages etc helpful low key advice and some special suprises

This is a beautiful B&B in the charming village of Sutton Bonnington. The hosts, Chris and Janine, not to mention Hamish the adorable Highland Terrier, gave us a warm and friendly welcome for our two-night stay. This was our first weekend away since Lockdown in March and from a Covid-19 perspective, we felt completely at ease straight away. Hand sanitiser on arrival, impeccable social distancing, light and airy rooms, multiple sheltered seating areas in the garden, staggered breakfast with other guests, everything had been well thought through and explained. As for the rooms, we had a large double with superb ensuite, complete with luxurious towels, dressing gowns and toiletries. There was a flatscreen TV, digital radio, WiFi access, bottled water, chocolates, complimentary tea/coffee and a small decanter of port for a nightcap! The mattress was excellent as were the pillows and duvet and the views out onto the garden and the picture-perfect village church were delightful. As for breakfast, Chris is an excellent cook and Janine's homemade marmalade and plum jam were divine. Within easy reach of the M1, East Midlands Airport, Nottingham and the Peak District, it was the perfect location for a weekend away. We can't recommend this hidden gem too highly.

I came to stay here recently with my family and friends (bridal party) for our wedding at St Anne’s Church.
It would be impossible to truly state in words how wonderful our stay was. Janine and Chris run the BnB and they are just fantastic!
All of the rooms are beautifully decorated and so clean. There were some lovely touches as well - tea, coffee, cookies, fresh water and a really special touch, a decanter of port in each room to enjoy! The bathrooms also have lovely toiletries, that smelt amazing and really added to the luxury feel of this place!
We had breakfast each day - lovely selection of fruit, toast (gorgeous home made bread!), award winning home made marmalade to start. You can then have just about anything in the way of cooked breakfast and Chris and Janine sourced the most beautiful local produce! We also had a bbq here the night before the wedding and I can hand on heart say, it was the best bbq we’d ever had!
My nephew was also staying with us and Janine and Chris even made a special bed up for him, as well as accommodating my mum’s dog.
St Anne’s House is second to none, every detail has been thought of and Janine and Chris are such welcoming hosts! It was a busy week in the lead up to the wedding (especially the day before and the day of) and Janine and Chris were amazing and so accommodating.
A beautiful home, a wonderful couple and a 5* stay!

I don’t know how Janine and Chris could get any less than 5 stars! In an age where everyone asks for 5 star reviews for every little thing these days, Chris and Janine truly deserve it - 10 stars if I could. I stayed with them as I toured the nearby vet school at University of Nottingham and they offered so much helpful advice on local transport options, culture, driving and traffic tips, places to go, and even connected me with a couple vet students they knew, as their parents were regulars at their b&b. My mom and I opted to have dinner with them a couple nights in addition to breakfast, and their food (and wine!) 😉 portions were so generous for what we paid. Breakfast times were flexible based on what we needed for the day and we loved their cozy lounge spaces and beautiful gardens. I feel that I left with two new friends who would be happy to help me if I moved abroad. Our stay with them was very special. Of course we cannot forget about the Westie mascot, Hamish! He’s the cutest little canine host. So sweet, loved his cuddles and added to the warmth and charm of our stay. Even if you’re not a dog person, don’t worry - he’s quiet and very well behaved. 😊 I have a lot of videos but didn’t take too many photos - wish I had more than the two below but here is the outside and one of Hamish at the top of the stairs when you walk in. Chris made great breakfasts and even got me to try black pudding which I loved! And Janine’s homemade marmalades and jams were so much fun to try. Thank you so much! Can’t wait to come back!

We were so grateful that Chris and Janine could accommodate us after an abortive trip to Madeira, thanks to EasyJet, we found ourselves on our way to the Lake District, extremely tired and having lost our holiday. The welcome we received and care that was taken of us during our overnight stay was heart warming. The house was spotless, our room was extremely comfortable and we were still not hungry by the evening after the delicious and bountiful breakfast. We will definitely hope to stay at St Anne’s again when we next venture North. Chris and Janine are the best possible hosts you could expect to find and you are certainly in for a treat if you stay there.

An idyllic place to stay! Beautiful property, lovely location, delicious breakfasts, and such welcoming hosts!
It felt like a cross between staying in a boutique country hotel and a dear friends house. Chris and Janine were so kind and we enjoyed lots of lovely touches, from cuddly toys on the bed for our 3 year old daughter, to gin and tonics in the guest lounge for us once she was asleep!
Special mention for Hamish their wonderful dog. Our daughter is very cautious of dogs, but Hamish is so calm and gentle she loved him!
I'm already looking forward to staying again in the future!

This is a wonderful B&B with the most generous hosts. Janine and Chris take pains to make you feel at home in their beautiful cosy home. Their attention to detail is meticulous. Their home made bread and granola, along with their delicious cooked breakfast and award winning marmalade (a taste sensation) makes for a great start to the day. All the extra touches in the bedrooms, robes, comfy bed and pillows, toiletries, port, water in recyclable bottles, ground coffee, Yorkshire tea, Cadbury’s hot chocolate, cookies etc etc meant that our stay had all we needed. It was such a comfortable & friendly welcome whenever we came through the door. The orangery and a cosy snug with a fire were extra gorgeous spaces to relax in. Marvellous.
