"Overlooking the Jørnfjord and surrounding mountains, these very modern apartments in Klaksjord village feature a fully equipped kitchen, free Wi-Fi access and furnished terrace. The prices include bedlinen and towels, cleaning and the use of an aluminum rowingboat. The place is located in the middle of beautiful nature where elks, otters, sea eagles and a variety of other wildlife can be seen and photographed right on the spot. Talking about photography: The norwegian skies, with both suncoloured clouds and the Northernlight (in autumn, winter and spring), are amazing. The brightly decorated apartments at Vesteralen Apartment have living rooms with high ceilings, a seating area and a flat-screen TV. Each apartment has a tiled bathroom with shower. Popular activities in the area include fishing, hiking, canoeing, bird safari and, in cooperation with colleques, whalesafari. The famous “Mannen fra Havet” sculpture is 17 km away, near the Bø Museum. Other things worth seeing are “Littleisland Lighthouse” and the village of Nyksund. Sortland town centre, with all kinds of shops, is reached within a 1 hour drive of Vesteralen Apartment. "

The view, the houses, the service and the nature are perfect. The houses are very clean, there is a option for sauna, grill or even catering. The nature is so beautiful, you can walk, fish, swim and enjoy nature as much as you want. The Team from Vesteralen is there for their guests and will give you a stay you will never forget.

We stayed at the Boathouse apartment for two nights. The owner was very welcoming and suggested local attractions. It was very well equipped (the kitchen a delight) but lack of wifi in this apartment was irritating - we had to dive up the hill towards the conference room, to send messages etc. The double bed in the mezzanine wasn't really accessible for us, and the twin beds are a little high for comfort. Maybe OK for younger couples or those with teenage children. However the outlook over the fjord is magnificent, changing throughout the day and night. My partner took out one of the aluminium rowing boats provided one morning and managed a circuit of the immediate part if the fjord in about an hour comfortably. The apartments are very serene and give a great sense of commune with nature.…

We stayed in the Boathouse which was one of four Apartments on this site for three nights. The Boathouse being smaller than the other three, it was ideal for a couple and ok for a family of four but not for four adults. On the ground floor there is a twin bedroom which are more like the lower tier of bunk beds. The upper double bedroom is a little dark. The other apartments sleep six and are more spacious. The location is literally on Klaksjord, down a single track unmade road and a little hard to find at first. It is however an ideal location for a base to explore Vesteralen and go whale watching at Andenes. Martin the manager is very very personable and will help you with anything you require.

The location is right by the water in an idyllic fjord. There is a rowboat for each apartment, and the sea is full of fish (mackerel, pollock, cod etc). There are fishing rods to be borrowed for free, bring lures or trolling lines and you can fish your own dinner every day! The apartments are really modern, stylish and well equipped - the best reantal apartments we have ever stayed at in Norway! The manager Martin is very service minded. Wifi could have been better.

The Vesterålen Apartment was a perfect home away from home during our visit to Bø this summer. The Boat House apartment exceeded all expectations and was excellently appointed. The location and views are absolutely breathtaking. The manager Martin was a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. He had excellent recommendations on activities such as hiking, sightseeing, fishing, and boat rentals. My 14yr old son caught many fish right off the dock with use of the apartment tackle. We are already planning our next visit to Vesterålen, and will definitely be staying at the Vesterålen Apartment.

Vesterålen Apartments was the best of our week stay in northern Norway. From the very beginning, when we booked our stay, Martin made us feel welcome. When we finally arrived Martin showed us around the apartment and explained what the site and Vesterålen has to offer - a lot! He gave us great tips on what to do and where to go. The apartment itself is absolutely beautiful. Decor is modern Scandinavian, and well designed, while being functional. From the inviting duvets, to the comfortable kitchen and living area - every aspect has been very well thought through. In our three bedroom apartment, two bedrooms offered direct views to Klaksjord - particularly beautiful in the summer nights - and the third opened on the side of the apartment, with direct access to the deck area. We used the rowboats on a sunny day and even tried our hand at fishing - which in Martin's words, is 'terribly good'. There is a community house where you can sit around a wood fire with friends or family, or you can enjoy breakfast at a picnic table on the water. As proof of the great time we had, we've already started planning our next visit - hopefully Christmas to experience the northern lights!…
