We spent a month in this super nice B&B. The lovely hostess made fantastic breakfast every morning and lit a cosy fire in the afternoons when we returned back from skiing. The place have a lovely atmosphere, comfortable beds and newly furbished bathrooms. We came to stranda primarly for randonée skiing and Overvollen was ideally located with many peaks close by. We will definitely be back!
Facilities: The are two buildings, one is the main house where the family and two other guests can stay (this is the one in the pictures) and another facility for several other guests. Bathroom facilities: Shared but... there are two rooms and two bathrooms so you actually have "private" bathroom. The room: Big, comfortable (on the send floor) Kitchen: Fully equipped shared kitchen for the usage of the guests. Breakfast: All guests are eating in the main house. The food is hand made, excellent breakfast with a great variety of food. Cleanliness: Spotless. Comfort: Very. Value for money: Excellent!!! Location: Great, just on the main road. Stuff: Fabulous, the hosts were super friendly and pleasant. We spoke for a while about the region, history of the house, Norway as a country and many many other things. Free WiFi: Didn't use the WiFi. Parking: Plenty and free. That was the first time for us in a guest house and the experience was great.…
Was charming, comfy, hostess was so sweet, will accommodate your needs. 3 of the 4 bed rooms are upstairs with the 2 shared bathrooms, if you want dinner I believe you have to schedule ahead of time, but she did provide a delicious soup for all. Morning breakfast was again easy on the eye and tasty with plenty to share. Across the street is a fun nine hole golf course I saw enjoy it.
We loved Hege Kristin’s breakfasts and dinners. Norway has great food, and you will not eat better than here. Our room was large and comfortable. Interesting guests; in our three days they were from Canada, France, Spain, and Norway. The 9-hole golf course will surprise you. It is hand-hewn out of what nature presented. Well located in gorgeous country for exploring Geirangerfjorden, Ålesund, Norangdal, Hjørungfjorden, Andalsnes. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Our initial impression was so great, that we decided to stay an additonal night and therefore had the pleasure of spending 3 days in this place. The rooms are designed with such love for the detail, that it makes you instantly feel at home. Everything felt very inviting and relaxing. The same love and care goes into the preparation of the breakfast and dinner. Lots of fresh and homemade goodies. The salamon dinner was out of this world! We had wonderful conversations with the home owner and other guests. The one thing that, for me, really put the cherry on top, was that even the bed felt more comfortable than my own....and that just never ever happens! We've had a lovely time and hope to return on some of our future travels.
