Lovely hotel keeping a high standard of service and great food. We really enjoyed our stay, surrounded by relaxing nature. The Spa is also very high standard. Everything looks new and classy. They even make their own ice-cream at the hotel and I strongly recommend the one with CARROT CAKE favour! Also their own wine is very very good. I recommend to try Hurdalsjøen Riesling. Very friendly and professional staff both at reception and restaurant.

Went for a conference and there are a few thing I miss as a conference hotel. There was no water in the conference room and on the breaks we queued for the coffee machines so we kept comming back late. The hotel is very nice the breakfast and lunch buffet are plentiful with good food. We had dinner in the big sami tent and it was a good experience and to my great surprise we didn't smell of somke from the bon fire. It was very misty when we were there but is seems like the nature is beautiful

Arrived to stay overnight in June 2022. Despite the almost 24 hour brightness the curtains did not over the windows and there were no blinds. The restaurant was supposed to be open until 9pm. At 8.45 we requested something for a child and all we were offered were pringles. The room was dated and the hotel was empty.

Dear Lettelottie! Thanks a lot for your feedback, we highly appreciate it. I have spoken to the housekeeping department, and they will follow up on the curtains in the rooms. It should definately cover the the whole window. My deepest apologies regarding your experience regarding the restaurant. During the summer the à la carte restaurant are open until 9.30 pm. I would love to welcome you back to us at Hurdalsjøen Hotell og Spa in the future! Best regards Morten

I enjoyed two nights in room 331 with a fine view of the lake and silent rooms. The meals were of a high standard, the resting areas excellent. I have just one gripe: For a hotel which markets itself as a conference hotel, the rooms should have desks where visitors could do some work. Mine didn't, something which seems to be a standard, and I see no reason why this cannot be provided. Surprisingly, in spite of closeness to the lake, there wasn't much of an area for hiking along the lake, which is a loss.

Thank you for taking the time to give us some feedback. In recent years, we have upgraded the hotel in several areas, both in terms of restaurant and rooms. Very nice to hear that you had a good experience in the restaurant. Most rooms have desks, with a few exceptions. If we have known, we could have changed your room. Hurdalsjøen is 1.6 km long, and there is no path around the water. But there are many opportunities in the immediate area. Next time you come, ask at the reception and we will show you the opportunities. Welcome back :-)

We stayed here on snowy night and was deeply impressed with the service and the hotel. From arriving to a receptionist removing snow to the restaurant making us pizzas despite this not being on the menu, we truly enjoyed our night here. The bar has its own drinks in many categories, breakfast was nice, and at the 50-year anniversary for the hotel, the building it holding up well.

Took part in a conference, and that probably made the price of the room shoot through the ceiling. Got a room beneath the first floor, with very poor reception and close to no lights. For the price i ended up paying, i expected a lot more. To me, this was not worth it. Location is brilliant, with a nice view of the lake. Mostly friendly staff, but no secluded bar area. Food was alright, bot not a lot more than that

We thought to try out Hurdalsjoen hotel for a weekend escapade. The hotel lies to a fantastic view of Hurdal lake. Surrounding is nice and quiet. We tried the indoor and outdoor jacuzzi both are nice, indoor swimming pool is nice too. One thing that lack was that the outdoor jacuzzi should have something where we can wash our feet before going into jacuzzi to avoid taking some sands from our feet. Indoor jacuzzi when we came in was not cleaned up some plastic drinking glasses in the jacuzzi, some are on the floor, some are on the chairs and used towels can be found on the floor and chairs. There should be someone checking the area if its needed to be clean up so the other guests can enjoy a clean jacuzzi and not feel disgusted. When we went into the indoor jacuzzi theres a strange aweful smell that is not good. We dont know what it was hopefully it will be gone and replace with a good inviting clean fresh smell. We thought to eat dinner in the restaurant in Hurdalsjoen hotel but it is open 7pm. We havent tried the restaurant since its a bit late for us. Family visitor like us who has a child who sleeps around 7pm cant have a dinner on that time so we went to another place. We tried the breakfast buffet it was good, We wish they have bacon and fried eggs too. Our room is fine, it has a good space and its clean it only lacks a garbage bin inside the room. The garbage bin we found was inside the bathroom.
