We spent here two nights. On the good side: the environment is beautiful, the garden is very nice and the sauna is really enjoyable. Rooms are clean but definitelly need a renovation. On the bad side: Our first dinner was quite cold, the waiter forget to bring us the folks and the knifes. Next evening we wanted to drink a...

I stayed here for a night during a training, organised by the firm where I work. It has a beautiful large park with a lot of huge trees. The rooms are simple, but clean and well equipped. There is two kind of sweating room, I have tried the Finnish one, it was very good. The hotel was pretty empty, and...

If you want an inexpensive place to stay where you will feel genuine and traditional Hungarian hospitality then pick the Walden. This Hotel has the feel of a former seminary building which needs a massive capital investment to bring it up to modern standards. So bedrooms are small and modestly kitted out in a quirky way - some very dark...

I was very disappointed at the hotel. The room was look like a a kids camp place in the 80's. I can't believe they cannot change the furniture for newer version, also the bed. The beds was disgusting and uncomfortable. The restaurant was fine, the food was great, just small portion. For the money they asking for it's not worth...

We have always had this place in mind for the wedding party because of the excellent view, the tranquillity, the great environment, and because we really fell for each other during a professional conference at Hotel Walden. The wedding party was perfect, the staff has been really flexible, the food lovely, and the service polite and professional. We have had...

Our group arrived after a day of hiking to this sad-looking hotel that has seen better days. The rooms were designed for families, I guess, with a main bedroom and a side one with 2 single beds and its own tiny bathroom. My bed was not made, the dirty pillows were not covered. This was quickly fixed, but the rooms...

We expected quiteness, but it came as a surprise now quite it was, it was if we were out of main season. Otherwise everything was fine, even the sauna has been turned on for us. Breakfast and dinner was quite good, staff was kind. There was a bit of misunderstanding when we were checking out, but basically that was also...

If you want to avoid the summer heat of Budapest, if you want to enjoy a few days in the middle of the Pilis mountains (at 700m elevation) between the town of Esztergom on the Danube and Budapest, if you like hiking, if you like the quiet of the forest, then you should stay at the Walden.

We loved this place. It is the best place to stay after a hike. We booked an apartment and had a balcony overlooking the forest. It was very peaceful and the bar tender was very kind and friendly (always a good sign!). The room was more than adequate for our needs, nice shower, comfy beds and free WiFi. We didn't...

The best place to relax and walk in the forest. Worth to take a trip in the forest. Must see the Heart Chakra of the World called "Ferenczy Szikla" and thinking your own life. Little hotel, clean and familiar but no supermarkets or plaza.
