Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Drummoig Golf Hotel is really conveniently located between Dundee and St. Andrews and our room had gorgeous views over the golf course and lakes. We had a car for our trip, which we were able to park right at the entrance to the lodge that our room was in. However, there is also a bus stop a very short walk away with regular bus service into both Dundee and St. Andrews. Most of the rooms are located in one of the three lodges, which gives the place a nice, cozy feel. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced too.

Extremely friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Very fair prices, good breakfast and an excellent golf course on the doorstep. Stayed during storm Ceiron - excellent heating throughout the hotel and drying facilities for the sodden golfer. An excellent option very close to St.Andrews without having to pay St.Andrews prices.

We recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. We chose it for its location of being close to family in Leuchars but primarily because it was dog friendly. We didn’t on this occasion use the golf facilities. We stayed in a room in one of the lodge buildings which was ideal as it was next to the golf course and ideal for dog walks or just letting him out supervised to do his business! The room was comfortable and clean and with all the essentials needed for a mini break. The breakfast in the hotel was very good some days buffet and some days ordered from the menu. We ate an evening meal in the hotel several days and whilst the menu choice is not extensive the food was good quality and value. With having the dog all our meals were in the bar area which was fine for us as you have lovely views over the golf course and it was very relaxed. All the staff were friendly and helpful providing a great level of service. We would definitely come back and stay again here. A good location for exploring St Andrews, Dundee, Carnoustie & many beaches on this coast

The hotel is excellently located and not far from the main St. Andrews- Dundee road. The staff are excellent and very obliging. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained and the breakfast , which is included in the daily rate, is fantastic. Reasonably priced and excellent value for money.

Overnight stay and game of golf. Staff service from everyone was first class and nothing was too much trouble. Particular mention for the bar staff - Lorraine plus the other staff were so helpful. Hotel is 3 star which is about right - our room however looked a bit tired and I would suggest a refurbishment of the furniture would help.

We stayed for 1 night after a day sightseeing in St Andrews , it was easy to find We had an upstairs room is a lodge next to the hotel , very spacious and clean with a shower over the bath , we had a balcony overlooking the golf course It was very quiet so had a great nights sleep which I was worried about due to lack of curtains and ill fitting blinds Breakfast was freshly cooked and good quality ingredients The staff were all friendly and helpful especially Lorraine who sorted out my bath plug issue I would recommend it and will stay again when visiting St Andrews
