What a quaint little , beautiful place to stay in - we only wished we could have stayed here one more night !

Very cold outside in december , but the rooms are warm - with a fire place and room heaters to use....the rooms are big enough for a family of 4 adults (with an extra bed). The hotel staff are very courteous and soft spoken. Rooms are all very cleanly maintained.

The inhouse restaurant is on the 1st floor , and my word , does it offer an amazing view of the valley ! Food quality is also good.

Worth a stay !!!

This is supposed to be one of the best hotels in the Phobjika valley. One wing of the hotel was being renovated when we arrived and we were allocated Room 103 in the opposite wing supposedly one of their better rooms. The room had a KSB, tea and coffee making, a huge panoramic window overlooking the valley, a portable electric heater and a fixed wood burner, the bathroom had fairly cheap toiletries provided and there was a hairdryer. For information there is no aircon, no safe and no TV and very little wardrobe space and the Wifi is not very strong in the room. Our room had recently been renovated and there were electric light cables still waiting to be connected. The wood burner is poorly placed in the room and could easily be bumped into if moving around in the dark. The bathroom was quite basic and the shower floor was very slippery causing my partner to fall over, after which a complaint resulted in the introduction of a non-slip mat! The food for both the evening meal and breakfast was buffet style and fairly limited. While we were there the staff were being trained on how to serve, clear tables etc so service was a bit haphazard.

What a beautiful place, arguably the most romantic and cozy place to stay in Phobjikha Valley. Rooms are massive and the bed is the most comfortable one I have stayed in for a long time. As it was a bit chilly at night, The hotel provided a space heater. Rooms also have a proper firewood stove, but that would be for winter. Rooms are intentionally left without TVs, with the valley views provided a wise choice. Bathrooms are a bit basic, but ok. Food is varied, mostly addressing Indian guests. Do ask for some special desserts. Sadly, the sauna wasn't working, but there a plenty of farmhouse hot stone baths available in the area.

Incredible hotel in the middle of Phobjikha Valley. Phobjikha Valley feels like a place where time has stopped, where people still burn wood for heat, cranes fly outside the window, and the nights are extremely silent. The rooms at the hotel are tastefully decorated, large, with comfortable beds and a stove heater. If you like fireplaces, you will enjoy the rooms as well, as the main heat source will be the wood-fired stove. Staff is friendly and efficient. Food provided by the hotel is average and acceptable. The bathroom itself has instant hot water that is powerful and comforting.

We were supposed to travel last year in May 2020, but due to pandemic we emailed them in 1st week of April 2020 for cancellation due to pandemic. They replied with an email promising that they would refund us 100%, but till date they haven't refund us a penny. I am surprised that it's a 4-5% property and they haven't kept their word till date just giving fake promises. My family has suffered financial and personal loss and this amount means a lot to me and cannot afford to loose. Off late they are not even replying just turning a blind eye. If at all you are planning to visit this property, beware of any advance payment made to this property.

Had a great stay here... Rooms were cozy and well heated, although I would have liked the wood stove to be used instead of electric heating. Dinner was fantastic and location could not be beat. Had some nice walks down to the valley in the morning

The resort has one of the nicest rooms, well heated, with comfortable beds, and good interior design.
The design and location makes it perfect and the room has a majestic view of the mountains and the valley.
I definitely recommend this oasis.

We stayed here for a night. The room we had was spacious and nice except for the bathroom. The paint on the bathroom wall was peeling and looked horrible. The shower worked well though. The water pressure was good and there was plenty hot water. Electricity outage was common and we had it for a few hours in the late afternoon but even when the electricity worked, the room was quite dark. It also got noisy with dog barking at night so bring earplugs. The staff was polite but uninterested overall. The food served was average.

Several times I stayed here and it is always a very good stay.
The hotel is located on a hill with great views from every room. All have a wood stove and an electric heater as wel, now that the valley got electricity. The room has everything needed and a nice ,hot shower.
Wi-fi is only reliable in the lobby and dining room, but as my room was close to the lobby I also got it in my room.
Dinner was buffet when there were many tourits, but when it got quieter, it was served at the table. Many dishes, mainly vegetables, rice ,and who wanted could have meat too.
A walking distance away is the center for the black-necked cranes, who were the reason for my visit this time.
Good to be back and see the same hospitality.

It is definitely rustic, not fancy. The rooms feature small wood stoves which can be lit, as well as space heaters that keep the rooms warm. The rooms all have nice views. The dining room is small and rather noisy. The buffet food is basic. Staff are friendly.

Good to know that you got through to the hotel. Your tour operator would be the right conduit for the booking.

Sorry for the delay. All the rooms are same with a view of the valley. They actually have the Bukhari (room heating system with use of firewood) to heat the room, therefore you shouldn't worry too much about cold inside the room. Learn how to put on the fire, so that if required you can put it yourself early morning.
