Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A very well maintained site with good amenities & friendly staff. Communication re gate and WiFi codes very good. A pleasant easy walk to local amenities & plenty of further walks, especially for dog walking. We had chosen this site for its easy access to the centre of Glasgow, by train or bus. Will definitely return next time we visit Glasgow.

We chose this site to travel in to Glasgow…went in by bus and came back by train…both stop and station close, walking distance. Excellent comms in advance of arrival, due to reception being closed at time we arrived. Great facilities, and an incredibly well kept site. Would definitely return.

The park itself is lovely. And the caravan was clean when we arrived. The staff were polite and helpful. But The main issue we had was the fridge was broken on arrival. This was reported and we were given access to another fridge (but apparently we couldn't move caravans even though fairly sure most were empty), then on the last day of our stay our food was moved to another fridge and I had to chase up getting the key. All whilst we had a 4month old whose milk needed to be kept in the fridge. The oven was also poor. I think the knobs were on wrong because they didn't point to a temp so you had to guess. And the grill didn't work. Also had to chase getting the security deposit back which on booking was £100, but was £200 when we arrived.

We apologise for the issue with the fridge situation. Unfortunately due to a s shortage of staff, we were unable to make another home available for you, and had hoped offering a smaller fridge within the accommodation and an available additional fridge next door also for more space would solve the issue. We were also unaware of the grill issue, as we would have tried to resolve this had it been brought to our attention whilst you were on the park. We will certainly look into how these issues seem to have come up and apologise for the inconvenience you faced. Over the last year our security deposit amounts have increased in line with rising costs, but do remain fully refundable. We do appreciate however that this information should have been passed to you prior to arrival.

Fabulous campsite! Great setting and wonderful small and extremely well maintained campsite. Close in to all sorts of attraction - whether you want cities or walking. Bit exposed when windy but you wouldn't get views otherwise. Would definitely recommend.

Good for short stays if you want an easy rail journey (£4 return off peak) into Glasgow. A bit odd as mainly a residential holiday village so no typical reception although the young lady who came out of the office was very pleasant and helpful. However area with good hard standing pitches with the necessary utilities. Only one cubicle for toilet and shower but clean and plentiful hot water.

Thank you for your kind review. We do have 2 toilet and shower blocks, however we normally just point out the closest one to guests' pitches. We hope you enjoyed your stay.

Arrived having booked a few months in advance, reception closed, so waited till official check in time, but no life? Rang several numbers including emergency maintenance line, left messages all to no avail! I checked my booking again to see I’d been allocated a pitch number, so decided to enter campsite park and found a pitch with a sort of matching number & setup. No reply from staff that night or following morning other than a cleaner. Perhaps this is the new thing self service campsite, would have been nice to have mentioned that no staff would be available on booking confirmation so I wasn’t unduly hanging around!

We apologise for the experience you faced. Someone should have most certainly answered your calls, and we will be investigating this issue. If our office is closed for any reason, staff usually send emails to guests instructing pitch number, so it can be found if you are unable to check-in as normal. We apologise you didn't find this in your inbox.

Everything you could want in a site. Ease of location and access. Clean well kept tarmac road. Level pitches. All facilities functional and clean. Within walking distance to village with amenities ane big bonus to train station, 15 mins to Glasgow. Although no dog walk on site there are walks witin 10 mins of site. Well maintained site with friendly and professional staff. Great stop to visit Glasgow or for touring Scotland like we did. Definitely planning to stay in future.

Very convenient for Glasgow and set in a very well maintained park of homes. Upper level pitches are nice but lower level ones are unattractive. Nightly rate on the expensive side for very little facility. Upper shower block needs attention. I stayed here 7 years ago and the door lock to the gents shower/toilets was broken. I stayed here 5 years ago and the same problem existed. I stayed here again last week and the door had no lock, the hinges are nor working properly and the door is therfore premanently open...how long does it take to fix a door, more than 7 years apparently. Money needs to be spent on these facilities.

Thank you for your review. We have removed the lock from the door you mention for ease of use for guests on purpose, so that is why it remains the same on all your visits - nothing is broken. We will look into your other comments to improve your experience.
