Areni, situated in one of Armenia's prominent wine regions, stands as an essential destination on your journey through the heartland of Christianity.

During our travels, my partner and I were fortunate enough to experience a stay at one of the most exceptional accommodations we've encountered. The attention to detail in the interior decor is remarkable, creating an atmosphere of elegance and comfort. The generously spacious rooms are designed with an evident commitment to superior quality.

What truly enhances the appeal of this Bed & Breakfast is its remarkable central location, which places you in convenient proximity to all the significant attractions in the area.

A special mention goes out to Anna, whose dedication and attentiveness made our stay absolutely effortless. As we look ahead to our return to Areni, there's no question that we'll be choosing to stay with you once again.

Our heartfelt thanks from Alex and Michaela, representing both Slovakia and New Zealand. Your hospitality has left an indelible mark on our journey.

· Areni Wine Cellar is an awesome place to spend your "wine time" in Armenia. When we were starting that day from Jermuk, we were sure just by one thing - we want to finally taste proper Armenian wine. Thus, when we were looking for a place to stay, we wanted to ideally meet some of the local winemakers and not only taste but also get to know some information about local production and the "story" behind it. At Areni Wine Cellar, this all became true. Anna, the host, welcomed us kindly and heartily, just a few minutes after our arrival she prepared a wonderful dinner for us, after which the time for wine tasting has come. And we must confirm other reviews: this experience was breathtakingly good. Awesome food, wonderful wines and cognac made by Anna's handy husband, this all accompanied by a beautiful atmosphere made by all Anna's kittens, children and warm neighbours from Areni. Anna was taking care of us the whole stay, kindly asking us if we need help, recommendation, food or anything else. In the morning, we slowly said our goodbye with a tasty breakfast consisting of coffee, tea, lavash, host's own jams, berries and fruit, Armenian cheese and last but not least with their own dried fruits. We were treated like at home here and we are really grateful that we had chosen Areni Wine Cellar. If you hesitate whether to stop and stay in Areni, this place is a true reason to make a stopover there and experience it on your own.

This lovely B&B in the thriving village of Areni at the heart of the Armenian wine region is expertly run by Anna with the help of her extended family. Anna, who speaks good English, is an excellent cook and a most considerate host who balances the needs of her guests with her career as a professional guide and bringing up two young children. The wifi enabled ensuite rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner (by arrangement) can be enjoyed on the vine entwined veranda with a glass of wine from the house cellar. The guesthouse, which also offers private wine tastings is very close to the 13th century Noravank monastery and is ideally located for anybody doing a circuit of Armenia. For early starters a packed breakfast can be provided.

A great place to stay overnight while traveling.
The hospitable and sincere hostess Anna will do everything to make your stay in Areni not only comfortable, but also interesting. A hearty dinner, breakfast of delicious country dishes, a detailed and informative lecture-tasting about winemaking (and more), the opportunity to buy homemade food and drinks, tips on visiting local attractions. And, I’m sure, all your questions and queries will be answered.
The room is clean, fresh linens on comfortable new beds, hot water and air conditioning (hot/cold) to create maximum comfort.
Living under one roof with a large and friendly Armenian family.

Didn't like it · If this may be important for someone, there is no asphalt pavement on the street. But walking in heels in the village is something you can sacrifice for one evening.

Beautiful, sparklingly clean space, and an incredibly helpful, warm host. Anna went above and beyond, advising us on local wineries to visit and arranging a driver for us to go to Tatev, ensuring that he stopped in a few beautiful places along the way. She even called to check that everything was going well during that trip. My room was comfortable and well supplied, with air conditioning and a nice shower in the bathroom. I loved the view of grapevines and a garden from my room, and really enjoyed eating a delicious and abundant breakfast and a couple of dinners on the lovely front patio. We also had the privilege of tasting some of her wine and cognac, as well as dried fruits. I ended up being a bit sick during one of the days I was there, and I was disappointed to miss some of the wine tasting, but really happy to be in a comfortable place with a host who was so caring and kind. I would not hesitate to return!

It is family hotel.
The numbers are new. They are warm, comfort, with real hot water and other hotel facilities, all clean.
Breakfast is omlet, dessert, coffee, juice, cheese and four items that I didn't taste.
It is house where owners make wine. You can taste and buy if you want.
Service is wandeful.

Me and two friends decided to do a road trip through Armenia. Of course, we wanted to stay in the wine region as well and did not regret it at all. We were welcomed very friendly at the hotel and had typical Armenia food for lunch. It was delicious. There are some nearby wine factories for wine tasting which we could reach by feet. Also, you can do wine tasting at the hotel. They have their own wine production and a nice wine cellar where you can try different wines and brandy. We received lots of information about the specific Areni grapes, the region, and the wine production. And actually, the wine in the hotel tasted even better than the ones we tried at other places! In total, nice hotel, clean rooms, good food, awesome wine tasting and very friendly owners.
