I needed a B&B close to my daughter in Barrowford & found Holmefield Gardens through Tripadvisor. From picking up the 'phone to take my booking Jane could not have been more helpful. Her directions were spot on & when I arrived at the property on Sunday evening I was met by Jane who took me to my room, stopping off at the dining room where breakfast is served. My room was absolutely lovely, warm & welcoming & the bed really comfortable. Jane made sure I had everything I needed before leaving me. There was a small table laid with tea, coffee & cakes & a kettle plus a number of books. The whole place is absolutely immaculate and Jane provides a great choice for breakfast which was really nice. I thoroughly recommend Holmefield Gardens to anyone wanting to stay in the area and will book in again should the need arise.

We've just returned from a one night stay at Holmefield Gardens and I had to leave a review. We booked 2 rooms with family so that we could attend a birthday party in Barrowford. The owners are absolutely lovely, so friendly and welcoming. The B & B is cozy, warm and spotlessly clean. There is parking in the driveway. The rooms have tv, tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer, wifi... everything you could want from a b & b, including biscuits!!! The breakfast is served in the kitchen diner and what a delicious breakfast it is. Cereal, coffee, orange juice, toast and preserves, and a hearty scrumptious full English cooked freshly for you. We had a very nice stay and would recommend to anyone stopping in the Barrowford area.

I started staying here over 3 years ago when I was caring for my elderly mother who had moved into a care home. I was a frequent visitor until my Mother died. Now I try to visit Nelson at least once a year and consider Holmefield Gdns my surrogate Northern home. Everything has been perfect on every visit. The double bedded room has an ensuite bathroom which is immaculate. Likewise the twin bedded room with it's bathroom next door on the landing. breakfasts are cooked to order at a requested time and there is a good choice of cereals with fruit juice, coffee. tea and toast and marmalade, jam etc. Much better than in some hotels I have stayed in. With free WiFi , TV this small B&B is extremely good value for money. The bedrooms are on the third floor so may not suit someone with mobility problems climbing stairs. I can certainly recommend.

Stayed 4 nights at the end of July 2016. Excellent in every way, spotlessly clean, cotton bedlinen, wonderful breakfast and last but not least professional and friendly host in Jane. Free wi-fi and non-smoking. Great base for touring north Lancashire. Have stayed in winter - beautifully warm and lots of hot water after cold walks. THE place to stay in this area!

we stayed here for one night in the double room , room was immaculate and great facilities, even had milk ready for a nice cup of tea on arrival. The accommodation is very close to the centre of Barrowford and we could park the car on the driveway in front of the property. Breakfast was served at the time we requested and was of a good standard with a variety of cereals, toast to accompany the full English .Would recommend
