These cottages are located within a short driving distance to Bakewell. We stayed for 6 nights leading up to Easter. We also had two small dogs with us. There is a £15 charge per dog but it was worth it having them with us. There is a small field out the back where we could take them. Our visit was...

Our family stayed in one of the larger cottages-The Farmhouse which was large enough for 6 adults and 4 children. Most of the comments made by previous reviewers stand. The kitchen was well equipped and we were left the basic cleaning materials. The farmhouse kitchen could benefit from an extra cupboard for storage of food. The bathrooms had hand towels,...

Just returned from a weeks stay at this lovely venue. We stayed in Peveril, which is a one bedroomed cottage very near to the leisure centre, which meant we had access to WiFi in the cottage for my nine year old to play on his Kindle. Having said that he much preferred to play in the swimming pool and make...

We have just returned from a week in Bluejohn cottage which we shared as 4 adults and 2 children. We were met by Gilly on arrival who was really lovely; very warm and welcoming and popped in a few times to make sure we were ok and to get the heating on (in August!). She also left the kids some...

We spent four nights in the Blackbird cottage and found it to be perfect for what we needed as a base to explore the Peak District. It's ideally located a couple of miles outside Bakewell, and despite it being next to a main road at night time we couldn't hear any traffic noise from the bedroom. There's plenty to do...

We stayed in Blackbird for what turned out to be an exceptionally cold week. Cottage was well equipped with everything we needed, the couple running the site were very helpful and responded quickly when we had a problem with the TV and later the shower Both being put right almost immediately. Only downside was the heating in the bathroom which...

We stayed at Haddon Grove Farm last weekend. What a wonderful place!! We had a warm welcome from the owner and were made to feel very much at home. The cottages are cosy and clean and so quaint. It is a about 3 miles in the car from Bakewell which we were concerned about but this wasn't an issue after...

The cottages are well appointed and very comfortable. We were a party of 15 and the cottages are laid out well for large groups of people as well as great accommodation for families and couples. The communal swimming pool and games room are an added bonus, which many of our party used. We loved the area, and there are numerous...

The owners from start to finish were friendly and helpful to our ever changing needs of organising a group stay. We used these cottages for the party to celebrate our son's 40th birthday. It was all organised by our daughter in law and as it included family and friends we used four cottages and the farmhouse. To say this accommodation is excellent would be an understatement. Tasteful decoration, very comfortable furnishings right down to fresh flowers on the tables made...
