Booked last minute an stayed one night in The Bothy. It was cosy, calm, rleaxing. Loved the bird song at dusk and dawn. We moved to Room #1 for 2 nights. This was spacious, clean and the most comfortable bed. Overlooked the beautiful garden - bunnies hopping around and lots of birds. The garden was so calming. Really enjoyed the spa and the cool swimming pool - very refreshing. Staff are friendly (including th lovely spa staff) and very helpful. Excellent breakfast - perfect scrambled eggs. Tips: Beverley has good restaurants but they are small and booked up. Stayed here for Bempton Cliffs - magical to see the albatross, gannets, guillemots - erroneously classified as penguins by one non-specialised bird-watcher!

Absolutely fabulous find. Set in beautiful gardens, it's quiet, private and peaceful. My friend and I booked in for a hot stone massage then went for a walk at Bempton Rocks followed by a cosy evening in the hot tub. Bothy is like a tardis! They've thought of everything. The management were brilliant. Friendly and very obliging, they went out of their way to accommodate us to make for a special weekend. Highly recommend and would definitely go again. Loved every minute.

We stayed in the Bothy for the second time last weekend and we absolutely loved it. The bothy is so cosy and romantic and the extra touches such as the complimentary fully stocked drinks fridge with Prosecco aswell as the sweet treats really put the icing on the cake. We were lucky enough to get snow so it added even more magic to the setting, we even sat in the hot tub whilst it was snowing. The pool area and spa are stunning and we made the most of both, my husband spent an hour in the pool while I had the most amazing treatment in the spa. The guesthouse itself is so beautiful, it is immaculate inside and out. The lounge area with honesty bar is fab and we enjoyed a cosy drink. Breakfast was lovely too and we loved it. Can’t fault a single thing about this place and we will absolutely be back.

My families overnight stay following the magical wedding at Oakland’s for My nieces wedding was irretrievably spoiled due to them not being able to access the Bothy. As devastating as it was for the couple it also spoiled the stay for the rest of us, as we were unable to go to bed until after 3am due to waking everyone up, to see if they had taken the key in error. We are very disappointed that when we were all together in the breakfast room, nobody came and apologised, which we feel under the circumstances would have gone a long way. I do not think it is acceptable that we had to approach the management and feel that the whole experience has been a let down. The bride did not receive the flowers sent by the groom on the morning of the wedding until Sunday and then they had to go back and collect them, they were meant to be given to her before she arrived at Oakland’s and therefore should never have been put in the Bothy, where they would not return to, until early hours the following day! Should they have had the key. This was not the end to the evening we expected, through no fault of our own. The lodge is beautiful but I feel that our experience has left us feeling extremely disappointed.

We stayed in The Bothy Lodge, it was so cosy. The Lodge and hotel was clean, welcoming and friendly. The Lodge is so quaint but has everything you need. The bathroom is huge as is the bed, there’s a coffee maker, robes, a bottle of fizz, a stocked fridge and cosy throws. The private hot tub was amazing, just what you need to relax after a day at the nearby coast. The hosts were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble, the breakfast was good and substantial. The location is perfect for the east coast and several cute market towns. Would definitely recommend Burton Lodge.

We stayed in The Bothy for our wedding anniversary and absolutely loved it. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The hot tub was so relaxing. The complimentary bubbly and snacks were fab and the breakfast hamper was gorgeous! I would recommend this to everyone.

Just stopped here for one night and took our dog. We stopped in one of the houses. It smelt clean and was very tidy when we came in. We ordered breakfast the night before at a particular time and it was served with a smile. Lovely breakfast. There are grounds for a dog to run, just be careful as you are near a main road. It costs an extra £10 for the dog which was worth it. Recommend black Swann pub for a traditional English pub and they accept dogs. I would stop again.

Stayed at Burton Lodge in The Bothy for one night with my daughter and we were not disappointed! What a perfect place, everything you could want, and all very clean and modern! All the little touches made our visit extra special..... bath robes, complimentary soft drinks, chocolate, tea & coffee, crisps, hot tub! Perfect location for visiting surrounding places. 10 min walk into village where there is 2 pubs offering food and also a fish & chip restaurant. We will definitely be returning here, just wished we had stayed longer 😊
