Couldn't fault the hotel, bar and restaurant. Lovely food both at breakfast and in the evening, I heartily recommend the steak. Huge bed and the best black out curtains ever! I do however think the Hotel should consider re branding the spa as the Hotel health and fitness suite. Whilst the pool and steam rooms are fine they are sold...

Having read a lot of good reviews for this hotel, I booked a romantic night for the weekend following Valentine's Day. Whilst the grounds and the facilities were of a high standard, our room was very disappointing as it lacked any charm or nice touches. I was a little embarrassed to have taken my other half here. It was ground...

Have just returned home from a romantic night away with my husband. We arrived to a very friendly welcome on reception and went to have a drink in the bar, very friendly welcoming staff who came over to us straight away. We then checked into our room which was in the stable rooms. We were a little bit gutted as...

Fabulous hotel. I booked a romantic getaway package. We stayed for my Birthday and paid for an upgrade to a privilage room, it was well worth doing as we had a beautiful room. We had a lovely dinner and breakfast in our room with the papers and a late checkout, so I had time for a swim before leaving. The...

The welcome could have been better. Yes they were in the middle of a rather half hearted revamp, but the receptionist was a tad dour. We had a small suite in one of the out buildings. The Spa, although a bit 80s has some of the best steam rooms I've experienced. I had a large TV. Very comfy beds, but...

Dear Guest, Many thanks for letting us know your thoughts, and rest assured we would look into the points raised. I was surprised to read that your welcome by the receptionist on duty was “dour” as this is not our normal cheerful welcome. Kind regards Jane Peach Front Office Manager

I stayed at this hotel last year and received excellent service, I was not disappointed on my return visit. The level of service given by all the staff is a credit to the Mercure chain of hotels. The hotel was very busy with a wedding and birthday party during our stay, but still the staff could not have been more...

Have just had a wonderful stay, the staff was wonderful. Also, how nice to be greeted with a smile at the reception, which followed through the whole stay. The room was excellent like the service.
