Cilwendeg is a family-run B&B set in 5 1/2 acres of grounds. "Cilwendeg" means Place to Escape and Seek Refuge and this is certainly true of our home. Our guests are welcome to wander around the grounds and use the summerhouse by the lake to sit and relax.

My partner (Drew) and I visited this weekend, sadly only for one night, to attend a wedding down the road. Penny and Steve were very friendly, welcoming and accomadating. The room was stunning! Very spacious, comfortable and private. Nice and clean with beautiful views of the well kept gardens and land.
Good selection and choice for breakfast. We are both vegitarian, and left the table very satisfied. Good coffee!
Would definatly recommend a weekend stay here, or even longer.
Thank you Steve and Penny!

We stayed here for two nights as we were attending a birthday party in the vicinity and what a beautiful house and grounds. The rooms were all individual but all to an excellent standard - breakfast was cooked to order and couldn't be faulted. cant wait to come back again and discover more of the area. Steve and Penny were perfect hosts.

I and 5 friends recently stayed at Cilwendeg House B&B as we were visiting Carmarthenshire for a wedding which was taking place on a farm very close by to this B&B.
The owners - Penny and Steve - gave really helpful directions on finding the B&B as we arrived very late (after midnight) on the Friday – and they were very welcoming even in the early hours as we all arrived.
The three rooms in which we stayed in were beautifully decorated and all of the facilities (particularly the comfy beds and plush bathrooms) were fantastic. This is a really well presented B&B – and it’s clear to see that Penny and Steve have put a lot of effort into making this B&B extremely welcoming!
The breakfasts were amazing – where 6 clean plates acted as a fitting testament to Penny’s cooking! Steve is also very charming and was great craic throughout the whole weekend. The grounds around the B&B are also wonderful to explore and the conservatory is a great place to just chill out in.
Penny and Steve are a lovely couple and their hospitality is the best I and my fellow five guests have come across from any B&B we’ve stayed at before.
Fantastic value for money and would highly recommend!

My wife and I went to this part of Wales for a family birthday and this wonderful B & B was recommended as our base, whilst there, and we are so glad it was. The Edwardian house is set in 5 acres of grounds bordered by a small stream and is idyllic. The house has just been re-decorated to the highest standard by Steve, and Penny, his wife, provides the most beautiful breakfasts, with choices of fresh fruit and cereals, followed by an enormous 'full Welsh', if required, though there are other choices available. The area around the property is stunning and an hour's drive takes you to the wonderful coastline and beaches of South West Wales. If you are looking for a quiet, tranquil and lovely place to relax, I urge you to visit Cilwendeg House.

I stayed in the White Room with my two small children. It was a beautiful room, spotlessly clean and well equipped - there was even s by of toys and DVDs for the kids.

The breakfasts every day were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble for the owners.

The grounds are lovely and they have the most incredible Monkey Puzzle tree! Fab, loved it all. Will be staying again.

We stayed for 1 night in the White Room. It was a very large room with beautiful regency? style furniture and a very comefortable bed. The bathroom was excellent with a large shower enclosure. Everything was provided even down to 2 bottles of water.
Penny the owner was excellent and gave us a well cooked breakfast along with all the usual extras. Wished we could have stayed longer. Recommended!!!

We just add an amazing weekend in this beautiful B & B
Set in lovely grounds, run by lovely friendly welcoming family.
Rooms are spotlessly clean, decorated to Laura ashley high standard. Beds very comfortable (we had the red room) breakfast was awesome all cooked fresh before us and our vegan family member had all requirements meet with no fuss at all.
I strongly recommend this B&B to all.
We can wait to go back!
Thank you Steve & Penny x
