Perfect Gateway to start an Italy trip from north. After we left the paved road to reach the Hotel I didn't expect such nice and modern rooms. The view down to Bergamo is stunning and the whole experience chilling!

I've just been to Polisena with a couple of dear friends and I was totally marvelled. Polisena is the perfect stay if one is looking for a relaxed getaway. Not only does it offer very spacious, impeccable rooms, breathtaking views, an unforgettable culinary experience and an incredible wine list but it is an ensemble of detail that makes your study one to remember. Polisena is run by a very dedicated family who make their utmost to make their clients feel pampered. Will surely visit again :)

The hotel is situated on the hill, above Milan city in a quiet mountain area. The rooms are new, large and clean with spacy bathroom and an additional glazed seating area with spectacular views of Milan and surroundings. It also has the direct entrance from the exterior - great for smokers and nice landscape connection. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. The staff was polite and helpful. It is definitely worth of money. The road leading to hotel was steep and in bad condition. During the night we were confused ended up driving into private residence below the hotel.

My better half and me stayed at Polisena for four nights. We had a most wonderful time with excellent food and wine, great service and total freshness everywhere we went in the hotel. We got picked up from Bergamo, driven to Bergamo and to Pontida. The whole family was so friendly and engaged. They answered every question we had and was very social even though not all of them spoke good English. We stayed in a junior suite and it was just beautiful, clean and big. The spa was another well-built and relaxing part. The whole stay was great and we already miss it. The family, the food, the wines, the spa and the service. They are very new-thinking and have built a great place. We recommend everyone that wants some peace, quality food and wines and beautiful views to go to Polisena. We will definitely go back!…

As a family with two young children, we were really spoilt during our 6 days stay in the suite of Agriturismo Polisena. The agriturismo is a family-run business, with one of the sons in the kitchen and one waiter/sommelier in the restaurant. We had a delicious breakfast every day, with a royal freshly squeezed orange juice for the four of us, delicious freshly baked bread (a real exception in Italy!), an assortment of fine cheeses, cherries and home-made honey. Although the restaurant is not open during the week, the family cooked for us every evening on our request, which we greatly appreciated. Dinner was delicious as well, and we were happy to taste all the wines of the house, grown on the vineyards below us. Situated between Lago di Como and the beautiful city of Bergamo, the hotel is a good base to visit the region. It's located in an old cloister, nicely and very recently restored, with spacious rooms (of which the suite has its private spa), a restaurant with a breathtaking view and a spa (but no swimming pool). We really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of this "L'Altro" Agriturismo and hope to go back there one day!…
