We went to Die Voordeur at a perfect time, to get away from home for 2 nights, and were told that for two weeks before we came, the place had been packed, and noisy. When we got there, all the other guests had left and we had the place to ourselves. It was quiet and nice. The lush vegetation is...

I can not recommend this place more highly. Location perfect for a stop between JoBurg and Kimberley, or longer to chill out . The owner makes you feel at home from the start and is attentive to the guests every needs. Much better than many hotels I have visited. This hotel is a DIAMOND in the diamond country. Thankyou Tienus

As we entered the property and parked at the front of the house, the first impressions and beautiful gardens immediately made us feel a little easier. At the front door the friendly...

I did a motorcycle trip following the Vaal river from Parys to the Bloemhof dam on the 1st of January 2014. The goal was to try and get to the Kalahari. I arrived at Die Voordeur in 35 degrees Northern Cape heat. I was met by the owner, Tienus Coetzer, who spotted my severe state of dehydration and rectified it...

“All rooms are great. I stayed in the newest room which was added recently, and is the furthest away from the main house. It's also the biggest room.”
