Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We really felt like we had landed on our feet when we arrived at the campsite. Francis and Di are natural hosts, nothing was too much trouble, full of local information a ready smile and happy to chat. We felt very safe due to the cleaning regime and everywhere was tip top, neat and tidy with information notices and sanitising units in various locations. Very decent sized pitches, a little shop for essentials and delicious homemade strawberry jam!!! There were a few of us in an established social bubble so we were lucky to go off, enjoy the day and socially distance but get together in the evenings. Lots of kids played football together with masks on, but by 10pm it was lovely and peaceful. Hot showers are 20p for 4 mins, more than adequate. There is a donkey and a horse to feed! Francis sold delicious strawberries and homegrown plum cherry tomatoes which we made into a delicious salad one evening. St Just is a very pleasant 20 min walk away, we used most of the shops there only shopping for a very few things at a supermarket in Penzance one time. It felt good to support local businesses. The Cot Valley and cove are beautiful! A decent walk with plenty to see. There are huge boulders on the beach with tin mine remnants too, it is lovely at low tide but good waves and a stream to dam for the kids (and some adults). We haven’t stayed here before but we will be back, it is by far cheaper than where we usually stay. 2 great weeks, the weather forecast wasn’t accurate at all and most days the sea mist gave way to lovely hot sunny days. We got around to Penberth, Lamorna Cove, the Logan Rock, Pedn Vounder, Porthgwarra, Sennen, Gwynver, Porth Levern, Marazion, walked to Lands End, Gwithian Sands with the dolphin pools (fantastic for kids), lots of coast path walking.

We are just back from our 2 week camping holiday which we were very much looking forward to. Francis, Di, and Calvin were perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble, they are helpful and thoughtful. Nice large pitches, well kept. Very clean facilities. 20p for a shower is plenty of time, you can add another 20p if you need to as the box is inside the shower cubical.

The walk to St Just takes about 18/20 mins with only a short part of it on the road. The Co-op is back running at full capacity after last years closure of more than half the shop due to Covid stopping the refurb. This was great as it negated the need to go to Penzance. The Cot valley is beautiful, a sandy beach appears at low tide at Polpry Cove, we were unlucky with tide times in our second week so had to find beaches where there is usually sand all of the time like Sennen Cove. We took the open top bus from just up the road from the camp site to St Ives which was fun, and took the pressure off for parking. It’s not cheap but you take in a lot of scenery. St Ives was packed, and expensive, however, we did have a good time there.

We have just returned from another stay at Kelynack and yet again it was a lovely stay. We have been coming to this site for several years now and have always found the site very well kept indeed with a little shop for essentials and homemade goodies. The toilets and showers are always spotless which is a real credit to the owners with extra cleaning/fogging etc taking place due to covid-19. One way system is in place with several sanitizer stations dotted around site resulted in us feeling very comfortable staying at the site this year. The owners are lovely people who go above and beyond to help and ensure you have a great stay. All in all a lovely tranquil site that is well worth a visit, we will certainly be returning!

conveniently situated site. Site very nice, clean and tidy. Owners really nice and very amenable. The holiday was somewhat spoilt by the caravan that we stayed in. The holiday had been booked for the previous year and carried over due to covid. Very disappointed to be allocated a really old caravan. There had been some adjustments made such as new carpets, fridge etc but it didn't take away the fact that the van was old.. The main issues for us was that all windows and door were single glazed. The caravan was freezing by 1am even with the gas fire on. All our clothes felt damp. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed that we had ever slept on due to a cheap unsupported mattress. We both suffered back pain and my partner tried sleeping in the lounge but that was also uncomfortable. The window frames were grubby with dead flies and moths in the frame when you opened the windows. The front windows were all dirty with finger prints etc. The shower was old and not powerful and only would go to a certain temperature. Disappointed as other caravans around ours were so much nicer with double glazing, central heating and a lot newer than ours. Annoying the next caravan had only recently booked theirs but it was certainly better than ours and paid the same as us. Good holiday spoilt by below par accommodation.

My fourth stay at this campsite - and I have stayed at a lot of others. Kelynack run by Francis is one of the best I have stayed at. The location is superb and St Just is walkable for the evening (take a torch). Francis and Di incredibly friendly and helpful.

Showers and amenities immaculate clean and tidy. Showers are 20p for four mins so very reasonable (collect some 20p pieces before you go). Pitches are a big size and most have power. Small shop on site for milk etc.

Great site for a short drive to some superb surfing, body and paddle boarding beaches.

Incredibly dark skies at night for those interested in the stars. Even my small daughter noted how brilliant the stars looked!

Could not be happier 10/10.

We found this fairly last night as wanted somewhere just for a few nights whilst climbing in the area. This site was fabulous. The work they had done to make it covid friendly was really reassuring with plenty of sanitiser stations, certain areas closed and an immaculately clean toilet and shower block. The owners were super friendly and helpful and always said good morning or good evening when they saw you and nothing was too much troubler for them.
This is a small site which suited us perfectly, with plenty to do in the surrounding area for lovers of the outdoors.

Unfortunately, we ended up leaving a couple of days early due to the atrocious weather but this was in no way due to the site. We wished we could have stayed longer.
I highly recommend this site and we will definitely be back.

What a great find! A very well kept Camping & Caravanning site in a beautiful area. Excellent clean facilities that are fully set up for social distancing & all the Covid preparedness you could expect. Incredibly friendly & helpful owners who were both always out & about cleaning & chatting to everyone! We stayed in our motor home and walked the Coast Path. There is a bus stop at the end of the road and in the summer is an open top bus that runs from Lands End to St Ives. Highly recommended & we would love to return one day!

I stayed here for one night whilst hiking the South West Coast Path. I received a lovely friendly welcome on arrival and, as I was backpacking alone with a small tent, I was offered a quiet, sheltered pitch in the meadow.

There was everything on site I needed, lovely hot showers (20p for 4 minutes). Picnic tables, sinks for washing up, washing machine and dryer, a kettle for backpackers and plenty of maps and information on display on the wall. There is also a shop on site.

It is located within an easy walk from the coast path and St Just where there is a CO-OP, pubs lovely coffee shops etc. Lands End, Sennon beaches and Cape Cornwall all within walking distance or by bus.

There are plenty of other accommodation options available on site, worth checking on the website. Great communication from booking to arrival. I would highly recommend.

We only stayed 1 night, but the site was so peaceful, clean and well equipped I would definitely come back.
The owners were very friendly and helpful.
Lovely shower room, clean toilets and a well stocked shop.
The other guests were very friendly and it seems lots were returning guests, not surprising.
A lovely site in a wonderful part of the UK

We stayed in our camper-van for a week on a grass pitch with hook up. The owner is really friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. The facilities are really good and spotlessly clean. The site is well located for the coastliner open top bus and St Just is walkable via a couple of footpaths.

The site is set in a valley so sheltered from the sea breeze. Certainly worth a visit.
