Situated on one of Cornwall's most stunning bays, the Old Success is a beautiful 17th century fisherman's inn, which has been transformed into comfortable, modern rooms and apartments while retaining its charm and character. With clear blue sea and fine sands, Sennen Cove is a breathtakingly beautiful location. The Old Success boasts magnificent views overlooking the beach and Whitesand Bay towards The Brisons rocks and Cape Cornwall, the only cape in England.

What an excellent stay, from the super welcome to the very well appointed room with a sea view to the excellent food and drink. The staff are a real credit, very attentive and a great asset to the St Austell reputation. Thank you all for the 2 room stay

We really enjoyed our two-night stay and wished we had booked a longer break. All the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a good choice for breakfast and both evening meals were delicious. Our room was immaculate and we had no complaints about cleanliness. We will definitely return there.

This was our second time there but had stayed some years ago also. Sadly the place has gone down hill quite a bit. The whole place needs a good clean and some of the staff need to be "more presentable" when working in a food environment. If there had been other establishments nearby to eat and drink we would have gone elsewhere. We did eat in our room one night as we couldn't face eating in the restaurant. The room has great views which is why we like it there but the whole experience was brought down by the lack of cleanliness of the place.

My stay was made incredible by Hannah, a member of the bar staff. I was alone and always feel uncomfortable in a restaurant. She moved me into the bar, to a nice little table and just looked after me. She even booked the same table for me the 2nd night 🙂 She just did everything right and was so lovely. You have an excellent member of staff there. Please show her this message. Also, the young man who checked me in and served on the bar during the day on Saturday when the rugby was on. He is excellent too. Warm, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It's important to say good things 😃 when most people say the bad stuff. Thank you Hannah and everyone. You were fab.

Gorgeous room and amazing views. Very comfortable bed. Heating perfect too as it was chilly weather! Lovely shower and bath and choice of teas, etc. staff all friendly and helpful. Food in the pub was very good. A great place to stay to explore this part of Cornwall.

We had a wonderful couple of days staying in room 2. The views from the windows are amazing, to wake up and see the sea and hear the waves just brought back so many memories of our time living in Cornwall. This is a very well kept room, nicely decorated and the bathroom and all the little touches are very good quality. Good to have fresh milk every day instead of the pods that explode. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and spacious. The food was great, very good selection for breakfast with quality produces. We ate in the restaurant on the evening and the food and service from all staff was excellent, very friendly and approachable. Definitely recommend a visit, we will be back.

What a find ! Superb location , excellent accommodation and views in the new separate building. All the staff certainly play their part from the bar, housekeeping and management. Babs was very approachable and so helpful , even more so after we had left and forgotten some belongings. Nothing was a trouble and we look forward to staying here again.

It’s been a while since I last stayed and it was a pleasant reminder of my last experience. The quality, position and level of maintenance of the room and decor made for a restful, pleasant stay and I really appreciated the ‘Proper Dog’ package for my dog - well worth the £15 a night for him. I have booked the same room again for next year, despite a touch of mould around the window - must be such a struggle with sea facing rooms. You can’t have bracing sea winds and rain without a few maintenance problems. I have always loved the bar and restaurant at the Old Success. The food was lovely and the menu interesting. The tables, surfaces and wine glasses were occasionally sticky, but again that’s difficult to avoid in a busy pub. The staff were in the main friendly and efficient despite being quite busy. It must be easy to take customers for granted in such a busy tourist area. At breakfast time the restaurant was used by staff for their own meals and for the business of the hotel management to take place this made for quite a busy bustling feel if you like to feel as though you are at the centre of things. All in all a really enjoyable stay and one I hope to repeat often.…

This was our second visit to the Old Success. We stayed in room no2 what a lovely room. Beautifully decorated, warm lovely shower room. Coffee and tea making with fresh milk in the fridge alongside wine and beer, nice touch. The view was stunning and the weather was rough and windy but the room was warm and very welcoming. As before the food was wonderful and all the staff were really helpful and friendly 😀 if you needed anything you just had to ask. We will definitely be back. Thankyou for a wonderful stay, it was a nice touch to wish my husband a happy birthday and offer him a drink on the house. A lovely touch and much appreciated. ❤️
