Center Parcs Elveden Forest is situated in a location that many guests find picturesque and conveniently central, despite occasional reports of noise and accessibility concerns. While the service garners praise for its friendly staff, some visitors report inconsistency in both staff response and the upkeep of the lodges. The resort's high costs are often noted, with several guests feeling that the value doesn't quite match the price, especially in terms of room quality and additional expenses for activities and dining. Although the atmosphere is hailed as enchanting during festive seasons, and the amenities are generally appreciated, the cleanliness and noise levels in the lodges receive mixed reviews, with calls for better standards and quieter surroundings.

We have been to Centreparcs many times before and always have a lovely time.
The complex itself is stunning and you really feel that you are away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
It's a very relaxing place that I love to be (although going with a 3 year old and a 15 year old makes it ever so slightly less relaxing :) )
I love the lodges, I love waking up with my daughter to feed the deer and squirrels in the morning.
The lodges are always cleaned to high standard and are well stocked with essentials.
Our favourite part of the holiday is always the swimming which we feel caters for all ages and which we enjoy every day sometimes twice a day if we go for a night swim.
We did a few activities for the kids which were reasonably priced (tree climbing for my 3 year old and paint balling for my son) both were great fun.
I also indulged in a hot stone treatment which included a facial, which was lovely but definitely a little pricey for what you get.

Everything was amazing and we would definitely always come back to Elveden Centerparcs but I have only 3 issues to raise.

Firstly the small supermarket within Centerparcs is way over priced for the amount you already have to pay to stay there.

Secondly, the bedding in the our rooms were very uncomfortable, I felt like I had a crisp packet wrapped around me, which made my sleeping quite poor while we were there.

Thirdly, and this has always been a problem for us, the HUGE raise in cost to stay in half terms is really unnecessary.
We were lucky enough to go beginning of January this time which reduced the cost immensely which I felt was the perfect amount to stay in a 3 bed lodge, but if I was to stay in the same lodge in half term the price jumps up sometimes 4-5 times the amount which I find extremely unfair for families who have no choice but to go in half terms.
Not everyone is made of money and sometimes the cost for a whole family to go in half term you could actually go on an all inclusive holiday abroad.

I think the cost of the lodges in half term should be reviewed as it's unfair to expect families with children to have to suffer unnecessarily.

This does not dampen my experience or does not refrain me from wanting to visit again it's just something I really think needs to be adjusted for families with less money to still be able to enjoy in half terms.

But as always thank you Centerparcs for a lovely time.

I had not been to this Center Parcs for a while but was pleasantly surprised. I chose a Woodland Lodge which is the equivalent of a comfort lodge, the accommodation was very good indeed. I did notice there was no coffee maker but it didn’t really spoil things, the only grumble I had was trying to light the oven it was very temperamental. The bathroom was small but had a proper bath, full size towel radiator and a very well designed basin. There’s even a shaver socket conveniently placed on the side of the big mirror. The hangers in the bedroom are the hotel type which will only hang in the wardrobe. The kitchen was functional, yes the equipment might have been a bit basic but the essentials were there. A slimline dishwasher was a surprise, the fridge had a freezer compartment which was not massive but would probably be big enough to take a family loaf of bread. The microwave was built in and worked well. In the lounge area was a built in Philips television and a DVD player beneath it too. The decor is very similar to that of the executive lodges. Outside is a small patio area with a brick built BBQ. The animals are glad to pop by and eat up any scraps they can find. I noted there were towels included with the linen included. Also there was a utility room with a safe and a cot that could be used if required. The overall appearance and condition was very good, the wristbands are a good idea for access to the accommodation and after a while you adjust to wearing them.Given the site is about 30 years old it’s in very good shape, the Parcmarket has had a recent refurbishment and in general it’s does most stuff. I did note there was a fair bit of Co-Operative stuff on the shelves, most of it was fairly familiar but at a greater price. From talking to my local Co-Op it seems there was an agreement made in December to supply them and this partly explains the higher costs. I found the choice of beers to be a bit limited, no Leffe or Hoegaarden beers to be found but a fair bit of Morretti and the like. The staff are as always busy and too few in number. The guest services staff are helpful and willing to help. The staff at the arrival lodge with the security staff work very well indeed. There’s a lot of effort that goes into making Center Parcs work, the many staff deserve credit and seem happy working together. The managers can help from time to time and know they have a good team. All the staff are a credit and deserve a pat on the back. I did note there had been some works ongoing to try and tidy things up after the recent storms, much to their credit it was evident they had lots to do but they were doing a superb job. I would heartily recommend Elveden Forest in an instant.

Myself and my partner arrived at Elvenden Forest on 13th January 2020 to a wonderfully quaint little lodge that was very well equipped (all cooking utensils, dvd player, bbq, plates, cups, towels, tea towels etc)
The space in the lodge was great and it was clean (I would have liked it cleaner, but I'm quite fussy)
The big chalkboard was a very good addition and I can imagine this being a hit with children.
Our lodge was located a good 10 minute walk from the plaza, but that wasnt a problem (you can pay more to stay closer in a Lodge of your choice) or hire bikes of course!
The village square consisted of some good places to eat and we had fab meals at Cafe Rouge! Cannot recommend that place enough!
The Subtropical Paradise is amazing! We had a great time in here on the rapids and in the wave pool.
All in all our stay was fabulous and we want to book for next year!
Thank you Center Parcs!

We have visited Center Parcs many times, but on this occasion we took my parents with us who have not visited before. My Dad suffers with breathing issues so finds it very hard to walk. We booked an adapted lodge and a mobility scooter as he is a blue badge holder and would have been unable to walk around the park and also needed an adapted bathroom.

On arrival we were directed to the Maple area where our villa was positioned. We were in a great location, with adequate parking for a disabled guest. The villa was spacious but on arrival unfortunately cold and the heating would not seem to stay on, we reported this to guest services along with another issue as the adapted bed controls would also not work fully. Guest services sent a team over within an hour of the fault being reported. Mike the on-site technician really was a credit to Center Parcs, he spent ages in the lodge checking the radiators and the boiler and got everything working perfectly. Mike arranged for another team to come and fix the bed, this was done so quickly and without a fuss. Mike also chatted to us and gave some tips on fishing which we hoped to do during our break. . Having the bed working correctly was great for my Dad as he was able to tilt it to sleep.

I collected the mobility scooter which again was a fabulous service, the scooter was clean, good quality and we were talked through all the instructions on how to use it so that we could all visit all areas of the park. Disabled access was great everywhere apart from the lift opposite the guest services to go up to the bar. The scooter only just fitted into the lift and the door would not close, it was lucky we were with him as I had to remove the bag that carries the rain cover from the back of the scooter to get it in the lift so the doors closed. This should be addressed as could be very frustrating if someone were alone in a scooter trying to use the lift! Hence we used ramps for the rest of the break, not lifts.

Center Parcs is a great holiday for families, our two teenagers spent all day every day in the pool which is great for all ages. We were more than happy walking around the site, visiting the bars and shops and playing cards in the villa which was very comfortable for a 4 night stay. The shop is great with plenty of choice and offers various prices on a mixture of branded and co op own products. We will return with my Dad as he really enjoyed the break, he loved the wildlife especially as there was an abundance of birds, deer, ducks and squirrels that fed daily from the seeds and nuts we put on the patio.

We are regulars here (at least yearly) but haven’t been post Covid. There were less guests which were nice however places still felt busy enough. Lots of hand sanitisers around and you have to wear your face mask in all indoor places, including when in the communal corridors of the waterfront hotel (where we stayed)
Staff were friendly, check in easy.
We stayed in the waterfront hotel apartments (without kitchen) disappointingly this time no tea and coffee bits were provided but they did provide small tea cups, kettle and wine glasses and bottle opener. Also no shower gel, shampoo etc was provided. Would have liked to have known this as ended up needing to buy some. Naturally rooms aren’t cleaned anymore on a daily basis, this was fine though.
Swimming pool was fine, they check temperature on way in and some cleaning in place. No showers. We got changed in a cubicle when we were done which clearly hadn’t been cleaned as seat had paper bands in it still. Long queue for rapids but goes quickly, no waves anymore and you can’t take towels through.
Restaurants were well spaced out inside and food still good.sports cafe you order everything through an app. Other restaurants still table service.
The only thing we didn’t like is everything has to be so planned and must be booked so you can’t just say, oh we’ll just go for a drink or have a game of pool. Pool tables now have to be booked for the full hour at a cost of £9.25. This made it less relaxing. You have to wear your mask throughout bowling but not in the indoor sports eg badminton.
The foresters inn wasn’t open.
In all it was a lovely break and Center Parcs is still our happy place, next time we’ll be a little bit more prepared with the recent changes.

We spent 4 nights in a 2 bedroom woodland lodge last July and really enjoyed our stay. The parc had just reopened after the 1st lockdown and we were able to check in from 2pm with access to the lodges after 4pm. On arrival to our Lodge unfortunately we found it totally unprepared with all the furniture stacked up and no cleaning done. After spending an hour locating reception and complaining, we were finally given a replacement lodge and thankfully this time all was in order. Our lodge was very comfortable with a large sofa, 2 TVs, a fully functional kitchen and 2 bedrooms. Everything was spotless with only the outside patio area a bit grubby and a little bit run down so maybe some maintenance in these areas could be made. Due to Covid the number of guests staying on the parc was limited and the sub-tropical swimming pool was not yet open but this was reflected in the price which made our stay more affordable. Some of the restaurants were open, but you had to book a table in advance via the app, so a word of warning if you don’t have a smart phone make sure you book beforehand. For us we sat outside on our patio for 2 nights and done a BBQ and for the other 2 we bought food from the supermarket and ate in and I highly recommend the Indian meals that you can buy they are really tasty and much cheaper than the Indian restaurant onsite. Day times we just wandered around the village exploring the forest and it’s well worth walking the outer perimeters of the parc as that way you see less people and get more privacy and also avoid all the bikes that come from you in all directions when walking the paths. Activities were still on offer, but we never bothered booking any as we were quite happy keeping ourself busy and just taking it easy. Evening times there wasn’t really a lot to do so we just sat outside on our patio watching all the wildlife and when it did chill off, we came inside and lazed on the sofa watching DVDs so very relaxing. On our day of departure, we had to leave our lodge by 10am, so a bit of a shock if you are not an early riser but you still get the opportunity to stay on site and use the facilities if you so wish. So inconclusion we found Center Parcs an ideal place to get away from it all especially for a short break and for this reason I highly recommend them.

We stayed as a couple in a 3 bedroom new style woodland lodge due to availability and the hotels not being open, however there were good deals available as there is a discount due to the fact that the swimming pool is closed.

Having not visited a Center Parcs before, I don't quite know what I was missing, but on a 3 night stay we still had plenty to do.

Note that activities do have reduced availability so make sure you book in advance as much as you can. We had a great time on the field archery and a couple of badminton games booked in.

Everything in the lodge is sanitised and cleaned to a high level, around the village there are sanitising points and walk up availability to eat/drink outside. They have an option to have food delivered to your lodge with their own "Deliveroo" electric moped crew.

Not that I'd ever visit in peak school holiday times but it was really nice and peaceful during our stay due to the reduced capacity and I've already recommended it to friends. We are relatively local so visit Thetford forest regularly and didn't venture out of Center Parcs but there is plenty to do in the local area including Highlodge, Brandon country park etc if you fancy a drive out.

I was a bit unsure as to whether a couple without kids would have enough to do here but there is plenty, lots of cycling, walks and the activities you can book.

We love cp and this was a rescheduled break from 2020. We had a 4 bedroom adapted lodge (maple 716) which was very well equipped. The disabled bathroom is exceptionally spacious . I asked for a perching stool to enable me to independently use the shower and sink as my oversized wheelchair would not fit through the sliding door. The medical team at cp contacted a local supplier and arranged this with exceptional care. The supp,ie rang me to discuss my individual need. We were only allowed 2 x 2 hour sessions during our break which was hard to get appropriate times to facilitate a 7 and 3 year old evening meal. We could only get 5pm on the Tuesday and 1pm on the Friday. There were lots of activities available but they booked up very quickly due to the pool restrictions. Wd have been to CP since about 1982 and I can honestly say the customer care is exceptional especially during pandemic. We did notice an increase in the number of vehicles on the parc which made it hard to keep a 3 year old on scooter safe. Most vehicles were delivery bikes or housekeeping Van's. We had to leave the site Tuesday evening to enable my dialysis in romford before return on Wednesday. The security at the check in were most helpful. We have rebooked for December and hopefully more pool sessions will be available. We didn't like the timemetabled option as we felt it took away spontaneity and choice.

We stayed in a 4 bed villa. Had a great time. Highly recommend the kiddy boats and pony rides for small children. The aerial adventure is awesome for adults too. When people say Center Parcs is expensive that depends on how expensive you make your stay. Restaurant food is slightly inflated prices but very nice, the Parc Market is like Tesco Express prices and the activities are well worth the money.

My tip is to book the Travelodge Thetford on a Sunday night £29 per room then arrive at CP for 9.45am. Check in and you can access the park from 10am to swim etc. Then go back to your car and drive to your lodge after 3pm to unload.

We also always check out on the Friday at 10am but have a normal day in the park before heading home in the evening. That way you get a full 5 day break.

Enjoy. Center Parcs is the best!

If you spend so much you can have it delivered. Once you have parked your car after dropping your things at the lodge or villa no cars are allowed on site except for those leaving or arriving.

Hi. The que went down quite quickly to be fair and was peak check in time. As you are arriving later check in will be quieter and quicker. I would suggest looking at your map for parking so you are nearer to your villa when you need the car. It is a big carpark. Enjoy your stay as we did
