Escape to the tranquility of our farmhouse, "Casa Allue" situated in a private corner of the sleepy hamlet of Albella close to Ordesa National Park. Our farmhouse has been thoughtfully restored with great care and love, preserving the wooden beamed ceilings and stone archways, and always respecting the traditional architecture of the area. We have 7 en suite bedrooms, 4 with double beds, one with twin beds and 2 individual rooms.. All rooms have mountain views and their own luxury bathrooms and most have balconies The furniture has been carefully selected to fit in with the traditional feel of the house. We provide an ample buffet breakfast in the dining room and can also offer evening meals and packed lunches. For our guests we have a spacious dining room with WiFi ,a large sitting room with exposed rock face, a traditional stone entrance hall with medieval arch and a small gym below a beautiful log roof. The house is set in open countryside and woods which guests are free to explore. There are some lovely walks straight from the house. We organise activity weeks from photography through to nature trekking or else we are happy to recommend walks and other activities, including adventure sports that can be done locally.

An excellent well organised week, with lots of variety. We went on lovely walks, learnt how to prepare Spanish food and saw very interesting places. The house was comfortable and the food outstanding. Our hosts worked hard to make it enjoyable and memorable.

I really enjoyed my Spanish course. Lucy and Simon are wonderful hosts, they have converted their home to a very high standard, comfy beds, excellent shower and stunning views out to the Pyrenees. The food Simon prepared was wonderful- healthy, tasty and locally sourced- a lot of it from his vegetable patch. The Spanish lessons were fun and varied, some in class room and some out in the local villages. We spoke Spanish within the group most of the day - and generally lapsed into English over dinner with a glass of wine in hand! I particularly enjoyed our excursions with Lucy - her knowledge and passion about the local culture and geology was infectious. A particular highlight was a short evening hike to a local village, examining the fossils and geology on route, then chatting in Spanish to local residents who showed us around their homes, church and community hall/school/blacksmiths. A unique experience. I feel this week has improved my Spanish, and my understanding of the local culture and geology.

Just amazing. Simon and ‪lucy can’t do enough for you. What a fantastic and interesting holiday with a great variety of Walking, cooking and sightseeing within Aragon and the local beautiful area. The knowledge of Lucy and Simon is incredible and the house is beautiful and you could happily spend the whole of your holiday without going anywhere. Would definitely recommend for a fantastic varied holiday where you will be made to feel welcome. All needs catered for and the most genuine helpful people you could wish to stay with. Thank you for sharing your home and experience with all.

Accomodations were both comfortable and inspiring. Wonderfully tasteful updates to a marvelous old stone house and grounds. Cooking experiences were thoughtfully presented. As a kitchen novice, I learned much and ate well. Nature hikes were spectacular. Scenery and expertly guided walks were a highlight which will not be forgotten. Be prepared for some challeging treks (good footwear). Lessons about responsible, sustainable living and resource conservation were gently woven into all of our activties. Lots of food for thought on how we live day-to-day at home. AND our hosts were exceptional.

The week in Aragon was far above my expectations. Simon and Lucy were very attentive hosts, knowledgable about the Pyrenees, the local history and wildlife, and incidentally, very good cooks, using produce from their own, organic gardens. The walks were guided by excellent local experts in wildlife, butterflies and insects, flowers and birds. I especially enjoyed the beautiful butterflies we caught in a trap overnight (and released the following day).. The group was very congenial and we had many lively discussions. Each day was a new adventure. I enjoyed the week immensely, and it was a wonderful escape to a spectacular environment.

This is my second visit to Albella doing the nature and walking holiday. (last year I did cooking and walking. Our hosts Lucy and Simon are warm and welcoming and put great care into the planning of the various trips across the week. They are knowledgeable about the area and bring in local experts depending upon the type of activity for that day. They are also fantastic cooks. The location has spectacular scenery and lots to explore and you get to learn a lot about geology, flora, wildlife and birds of prey. The holiday is a small group setting and all of us had shared interests and got on well. I'm already planning my next trip!

We have just had the best holiday ever with Aragon Active. We went on the Wildlife Walks and with the help of excellent local guides, we saw many birds, flowers, moths, butterflies, animals and much, much more. It truly was a wonderful experience made so good by our excellent hosts, Simon and Lucy. The food and wine, the beautiful farmhouse, the peace and quiet was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you both so much for a truly memorable trip. Keep doing what you're doing - you deserve the success you obviously have!

My stay in Casa Allue, Albella couldn't have been better. I didn't have any particular expectations, but was astonished at the beauty and serenity of this place. Lucy and Simon are the perfect hosts and happily answered all my questions prior to the trip. They are also fantastic, imaginative cooks and take everyone's needs and preferences into consideration. Their nature guides are real experts and so enthusiastic that you can't help but fall in love with the place and the people. Their house is charming with all the mod cons and a completely environmentally friendly approach to tourism. That and the great company in a small, congenial group mean that I wouldn't hesitate to come back, solo or with friends. Many, many thanks to Lucy and Simon.
