On our 4th trip to Namibia we finally found the perfect place. Adrian and Chery are the most wonderful hosts, they make every wish possible and we felt at home the moment we arrived. All the other staff spoiled us as well. A great thanks for the wonderful time. We enjoyed several magic game and farm drives with Adrian as our Guide. He made every minute special and whenever I wanted to take a picture, he stopped with pleasure. The nature and the landscape are spectacular. Seeing the animals in their natural environment is a privilege that can only be experienced at Sandfontein Natur Reserve. The Chalets are tastefully furnished and have a special touch of luxury. Everything is clean and well maintained. The food tasted great. On our first evening we enjoyed a marvelous and romantic candle light dinner. Once again thank you very much for the great hospitality. We definitively will come back!

Had the most wonderful time, calm and relaxing with panoramic vistas. Wild life and Orange river close by. Super tasty food at a time to suite and game drives when you would like. A one of a kind safari lodge in the deep south of Namibia. Left feeling like one of the family.

We had the most special time at Sandfontein. They have the most spectacular location, offering beauty, relaxation and adventure all in one spot. With limited guests, you feel right at home. The hosts are absolutely wonderful and attend to your every need and go above and beyond to deliver. Andreas always made sure our glasses were topped up and the kitchen chef's will attend to your taste buds every need. Scenic sunset drives, Kayaking on the oranje rivier, relaxation by the pool and going for walks in the most beautiful landscapes sandfontein has to offer. Sandfontein will always be such a special place for us and I thank all the hosts for making our engagement so memorable. We will definitely be seeing you again. If you're looking for some down time in a gorgeous location you will not regret spending time at Sandfontein, and will be even more enjoyable in winter months!

The moment we arrived at Sandfontein, we knew it was special. Nestled in a huge expanse of arid and mountainous terrain, you're off the grid, off the beaten track and far from anything man-made. Breathtaking skies, big country, bordered by the magnificent Orange River and home to a luxury African Lodge overlooking a wide expanse of nature at its best. African orange sunsets, sunrise, game drives with some very special viewings and even a walking tracking experience to die for. This has to be one of the most tailored, personal and accessible experiences of the wild that you can get. Spectacular.

This is truly a very special and remote place. The lodge is wonderful, beautifully decorated with only 5 bungalows, so very personal. The manager couple has been extremely friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The dinner was great, the breakfast could to with some touch-up. We stayed in the very comfortable suite with all necessary amenities. The scenic drive was great, as was the outing to the orange river with fishing and kayaking. We and our kids enjoyed every minute of our stay!

We loved our stay so much we didn’t want to leave! So serene and peaceful with incredible setting and views. Luxury with a really personal touch. Hosts and staff went above and beyond. Catered for vegan and vegetarian amazingly. I was also ill when arrived and they took such good care of me. Excellent service and a real family feel whilst still really professional service. Trip down to orange river private canoe tour and wild swim, saw incredible bird life and baboons and some other wildlife on way through the reserve. Saw lots of wildlife on drive in and out of reserve. Watching sunrise on our room deck or sitting by stunning long pool amongst incredible setting and views - it was all a once in a lifetime experience, highly recommend!

Located about 22 km from the gate on a huge private nature and game reserve the size of Singapore, the lodge consists of a main building and five chalets. We were absolutely impressed by the design and architecture of the buildings, and the impeccable service. Food was the best we ever had in Africa, which is even more remarkable considering the remote location. Our chalet came with a large shower and high-quality toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion, and, a special highlight in winter: Hot water and a decent water pressure. The landscape is absolutely fascinating, and we truly admire the sustainability and animal conservation efforts the owner is pursuing. All animals on the lodge‘s premises naturally belong in the area, and have plenty of space. Animal density is certainly lower than in other lodges, intentionally. Game ranger Adrian is super knowledgeable and the walking safari with him was amazing. Sundowner drives to remote areas are offered, too, and great fun. We even did moon gazing with a huge telescope, enjoying the full moon over the lodge. Despite the tranquility and remoteness of the lodge, there is lots to do, and the team is more than happy to accommodate individual preferences. Sandfontein is certainly one of the most luxurious lodges we have ever been to, yet down to earth with a focus on nature and animal wellbeing. A great experience over all, and clearly a recommendation for anyone interested in nature, landscape, and conservation efforts.

Sandfontein Lodge is a very special place. It’s quiet, professional, absolutely beautiful and relaxing. The starkness of the reserve is what makes this place so intriguing. It’s well appointed and the suites are exquisite. The staff are attentive and friendly. Chéri and Adriaan are wonderful hosts and superbly knowledgeable. Our kids were made to feel part of the family. This is a rare and wonderful place. An absolute must visit in Namibia.

This was our third trip to Namibia, and we wanted to visit some more of the country. Cheri and Adrian were the perfect hosts on this vast and remote desert sanctuary, and our time with them here was simply world class. From the Sandfontein battle field (which is literally right out the door) to the game drives and our visit down to the Orange River, this is one of the most unique locations we've ever experienced. The lodge is simply beautiful, as are the rooms, and the rest of the staff and cuisine were equally exceptional. We left feeling like family, and look forward to our return!

This was our last stop before heading home, what an extraordinary experience, the lodge has recently gone under new management and the couple running it are excellent hosts. They really made our time at the lodge one to remember, going over and above to make sure we were happy and comfortable, even providing some interesting activities including going for a private paddle down the river with insights into our surroundings.
