I was walking from Dublin along the E8 toward West Cork and needed a base for a couple of nights in March, Tom's Hostel in Mooncoin was a suitable spot. From the moment I arrived at Tom's place I was captivated by the atmosphere and the 'home from home' feeling. Tom himself is an amazing character with lots of Tall...

Tom is a very friendly chap, with lots of pointers for places to eat and visit plus a huge amount of enthusiasm. He also has some really cute kittens in the garden. The only problem with the hostel is, it squeezes in a lot of beds in a pretty small space, meaning the one shower and one toilet shared between...

Tom's Hostel had to be my favourite hostel during our trip in Ireland. The rooms were very nice, the beds comfortable and very clean. Tom is a wonderful host and is great to talk to. He has great ideas about where to visit within the island. For a small fee Tom provides a great homemade breakfast that tops any hostel...

We stayed two nights at Tom's hostel with a friend. The owners are extremely friendly and easy going. They went to pick us up at the bus stop and brought us back to Waterford bus station early in the morning so we wouldn't miss our bus. The main issue is that it is 20 minutes away from the city of...

Tom is probably the best hoster in Ireland. He is friendly and makes the best for a good environment between his guests. I stayed for one night in June 2015. I arrived at the hostel 6pm and at 10pm the 11 people who were hosted, and had just met, were at a pub!!! Nice, calm and clean place. Definitely 5...

I met some great people there, locals and fellow travelers. The hostel atmosphere is so good all due to Tom.. The 2 local...

I stayed in Tom's Hostel for a couple of nights in a 7 bed dormitory room. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Everything was light bright and spotless. The bed was comfortable. The members of the staff took us to the local pubs just minutes away from the hostel and we could listen to some traditional live music.Free parking...

Tom's Hostel is a really lovely hostel ! A quiet place, simple but clean and comfortable at only 300 meters of a traditional pub . A very unique, dynamic atmosphere has been fostered, due to the relativelly small size of this familly-owned hostel . Surely my greatest memories in Ireland ! Tom is really funny, friendly, flexible and will be...

I stayed in "Tom's Hostel" in March and April for some nights as i was travelling along the Wild Atlantic Way. The hostel is clean, the beds are very cosy and the pillows comfortable and fluffy :-) Tom is a really nice guy who might know EVERYTHING about Ireland - you better watch up and get some pen and paper...
