We come each year to caylus for a sports competition and we always come to les Gites Perard.. why? because is an awesome place, clean and traditional french country home, run by an awesome team. The owners live there and it shows.... it is flawless and they are always there to help. This year I had a tyre puincture and they haled e find a garaje to have it repaired. they called all the garajes ( they spoke French with them and find one that could fix my car) awesome service and 200% over any expectation. They have a fantastic pool , the two gites ( or separated chalets , have new terraces and they are cozy an beautiful. We will come again and again, what more can I say.

A fantastic week with Farzana and Jean-Claude at Perard, fantastic hosts and a fabulous get away from it all break with long relaxed sleeps with beautiful hazy days relaxing around the pool, fantastic sunsets with a glass of great local wine.
We highly recommend for a chilled out week and we will be back for another fantastic relaxing break with Farzana an Jean-Claude.

We are a family of 4 who stayed in one the gites for 2 weeks in August. The gite was exactly as I imagined it based on what I had seen on the website. A beautiful and quiet spot. A charming gite. The gite had everything we needed; I particularly appreciated that all bed linen and towels were provided. Also provided: Wi-Fi, both French and British TV channels. Coffee maker, toaster, kettle. Washing machine and airer amongst other things. The kids loved the pool while the grown-ups relaxed on the loungers. The location is great as you can go and visit some beautiful places nearby. But most of all, Farzana is a brilliant host who will ensure you have a perfect stay. Her cooking is excellent and the option to order a hot meal on arrival (we arrived on a Sunday night) was very much appreciated. I will mention her scrumptious curry she invited us to share with her friends and other guests. And to top it all, the sky at night is marvellous with so many shooting stars to sight. We can't wait to go back!

First impression was what an amazing location! Beautiful views across the countryside and so quiet. There is also a swimming pool. Had booked 5 days but within a half hour of arriving decided to extend by 2 more and half way through extended by a further 2 days - 9 days overall. It is so tranquil and beautiful, the gite was perfect with all you could need i.e washing machine, dishwasher etc. Forzana & Jean Claude were so welcoming and we felt like we were part of the family. I would highly recommend that you avail of at least one evening meal prepared by Forzana at an extra cost, but it is so worth it. Great location with lots of towns and villages nearby with beautiful scenery and jacobean buildings. A photographer's paradise! We are already planning our trip for next year and hope to stay for 2 weeks!

After 2 days driving through France, it was a delight to arrive at this pretty Gite. We stayed in the West Gite, which has beautiful views over rolling countryside with and woodland. There is a private terrace for breakfast in the shade, and a shared garden with tables and benches where we enjoyed supper while watching spectacular sunsets and spotting deer in the woods.
The Gite is well equipped, with a washing machine, dishwasher and coffee maker. It is probably more suited to 4 people rather than the 5 in our party (we had an extra bed put up in the children’s room) but we managed well. The beds are exceptionally comfortable with beautiful cotton linen, and the bath and shower worked well. There is a lovely selection of books and dvds, and a music system too.
My children (aged 10, 8 and 4) made frequent use of the beautiful pool. The water was a tropical 26-28 degrees warm, and immaculately clean, with sun beds and parasols. We took a little lilo and beachball, and a swim float vest for our little one, and we swam twice a day most days (the pool is open until 8pm). It was definitely the highlight of the holiday for my 3!
The local area is fascinating, with medieval villages and spectacular ravines within easy reach. You definitely need transport to make the most of it as the Gite is in a fairly rural location. We visited Caylus, Cahors, St Antonin Noble Val and St Cirq Lapopie, all of which are breathtakingly beautiful. There are also several lakes nearby with paddling facilities for children, which we enjoyed.
Farzana and Jean-Claude are perfect hosts - warm and welcoming, friendly and informative but not at all intrusive. We paid for Farzana to provide us with an evening meal on our arrival, and she delivered the most delicious lasagne I’ve ever tasted (with salad, dressing and a tart tatin) to our Gite, which really relieved the pressure after our long journey. She is an excellent cook, and has the flair and style to create a magical ambiance at the Gite and her 2 chambre d’hote rooms.
We would highly recommend Pérard, and have come away with many happy memories - please can we go straight back?

We had a great time staying in Farzana's git. The pool is excellent and the whole experience is very relaxing. There is a large kitchen area and it is easy to chill drinks in the firdge, and amble space to prepare food etc. Thank you so much - we will be back. Best wishes, Rob, Phil and friends.

We have enjoyed a delightful weeks stay at Perard. We arrrived to a delicious pre-prepared lasagne which was perfet after a long drive with a toddler. There are no roads near by and garden outside the gite meant he could play freely as we sat on the terrace enjoying the views and the bird song. The swimming pool is gated and alarmed which was reassuring. The area around the cottage is glorious. Walks and bike rides can be done straight from the door. There is so much wildlife in the old wooded valleys near by, as well as secluded churches and crumbling castles. The local town Caylus is very cute and near by are medieval hill towns, caves with prehistoric paintings and markets of fresh farm produce. Fazanna and Jean-Claude were delightful hosts, and their little dogs made my sons holiday.

Quintessential French country charm : stone buildings, pigeonnier, wood beams ... just oozes character. The setting is beautiful, lovely views over the valley with easy access to excellent walks. The gites are very comfortable and superbly presented (spotlessly clean and well provisioned) by the lovely, very friendly owners and hosts, Farzana and Jean-Claude. We were made to feel so welcome. The place itself is great (swimming pool too) but it's Farzana and Jean-Claude that create the special atmosphere that made our stay so enjoyable. Can't recommend Perard more highly _ an absolute gem! Mark & Josie Wells

Myself, my wife and our two best friends just had a long weekend at Perard. Let me tell you it was simply glorious. Warm sunshine, lovely country walks followed by relaxing swims as the sun set over the valley. I highly recommend this place. Farzana is an amazing host and knows everything about the local area (especially the good local wines hehe). Definitely coming back thanks so much Fazarna and Perard. All the best.

Just the most beautiful and perfect hideaway in rural France. Accommodation is lovely and wants for nothing. I really recommend booking a meal on arrival as it was probably the best meal we had all holiday. Host made us feel extremely welcome and we loved the friendly dogs and cats. Caylus has some great places to eat and the neighboring towns make for great day trips.
