My Wife and I held our reception here on 7th March 2020 and were absolutely blown away by how truly PERFECT the day was!

Firstly Staci, was a great wedding planner who listened to our thoughts and ideas and very very attentive to making us feel special and that all would run smoothly on the day and the days that led up to it.

On the day itself we had exclusive use of the venue and all of its 21 bedrooms, all of our guest commented how lovely the rooms were and to a high standard of cleanliness.

All of the food that was served; canapés, wedding breakfast, evening buffet and the breakfast the following morning were all beautiful and all guests with any dietary requirements were fully catered without causing us any worry.

The service that was received by ALL of the staff from reception staff, waiter and waitresses, the sommelier etc was exemplary and second to none.

If you are in the beginning stages of selecting a wedding venue we cannot recommend Brockencote Hall Hotel enough! Absolutely unforgettable! :)

Just returned home after a one night stay on a special package rate which included a 3 course meal, breakfast, champagne cocktail, and coffee and petit fours.
We were in room 11 which was stunning. On the ground floor with double aspect windows the views over the amazing grounds was fabulous. Huge modern bathroom and shower off of the entrance hall, and a very large bedroom with 2 armchairs made up what was a suite in effect.
The food was delicious, the staff attentive and polite. There really was nothing to fault except maybe the pillows could be a little softer for our liking. A hotel of this quality could do with a pillow menu as a little touch.
We would return in a heartbeat.
Thank you Brockencote Hall.

We stayed here on Saturday night and loved every moment.
The room was beautiful with added touches of homemade biscuits, bottled water ,choice of pillows and whether we wanted sheets or a duvet .

The cocktails were delicious in the bar and the food in the restaurant was out of this world . Extra care was taken to put us at a table that minimised my contact with others as I'm undergoing chemotherapy and need to be extra cautious with my immune system- I'm very grateful to have been able to do this .

Breakfast was fantastic . Everything was cooked to perfection.

I'd also like to thank the lady at reception for all her help too

A wonderful stay . Many thanks .

Stayed at this establishment for a wedding on 15th March. My elderly parents didn't travel with the current situation. Was made to pay full price for room they didn't take the price of the breakfast off or service room etc. They were really rude and dogmatic. I would have thought charging half price would have been reasonable as in the week the rooms are advertised at 75.00. I paid the 150.00 for them after a complete argument as they said if you don't pay the bride and groom have to pick up the bill.
I understand the current situation but meeting half way could be a compromise.
Beware of this hotel NO CONSIDERATION.

Booked for our first break away after COVID and booked a superior room for 3 nights. Hotel is set back from the main road at the end of a long drive. It's a very quiet location with beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately a few hours after arrival my partner was taken ill and taken to hospital. The staff were faultless and helped me through this time. They also made sure I had a table booked every evening in the bar for food. I only ate in the bar and the food was fantastic...no complaints at all. The room was spacious with fridge, dressing gown, hairdryer, toiletries, tea/coffee,wine glasses etc. Also had separate bath and shower. Hotel was very clean. Would definitely return and recommend for a beautiful get away. A big thank you to Craig, Steph and the gentleman in the bar....fantastic staff. Customer service at its finest.xx

Booked in for three night stay. Two nights via a hotel break and one directly with hotel. The hotel and grounds are very nice and extremely well kept. We were in a superior room on the first night, which was very good and as we had booked a feature room on the direct booking they upgraded us for the middle night which was a lovely gesture. Reception staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful and organised a reasonably priced but really nice bouquet of flowers. The feature room was very large and beautifully furnished with a large bathroom. Only slight quibble was the shower in the superior room was really powerful and excellent , whereas in the feature room it was fine but not quite as good. Both rooms had fridges with water and milk which was a nice touch. One other issue was the room was really quite warm ,even with windows open, which might be a problem in very hot weather. Not a problem so far this summer!. The food was extremely good , but basically same menu three nights in a row. I suppose economics and consistency drive this but mixing it up a bit would be better. If staying for more than two nights this would be a consideration. Wine selection was decent and pretty reasonably priced. Breakfast was very good and a wide choice and freshly cooked, faultless. All of the staff were really good but the waitresses both for breakfast and dinner were super and absolutely lovely in every way. Would we stay again? Definitely but probably just for a couple of nights or would eat outside on at least one night. They also have dog friendly rooms which would be a huge attraction for us.

A special dinner for my partner's birthday. I hadn't been to the restaurant for about 10 years, and was slightly apprehensive about how it might have changed, but I needn't have worried. The dining room and bar (where we had a cocktail while we looked at the menu) are both beautifully decorated. The service throughout was relaxed and attentive without being intrusive. And the food is excellent - we weren't up for the full Taster Menu on a week night, but we had a mix of dishes from the other two menus. Everything was beautifully prepared and tasty. For us, a restaurant like this is for special occasions, so we need some more special occasions so we can come back!

I’d booked this midweek break through country hotel breaks.com good communication throughout.

On arrival the hotel was still operating under Covid restrictions to protect staff and guests which was fantastic. The hotel is lovely, some of the decor was a little dated, and was showing signs wear & tear - damage to underlining of seats within the bar. The fire door at the top of the stairs was split and in need of repair.

The bedroom we stayed in was overlooking the car park because of the heat we needed to sleep with the window open which was a little like water torture as the fountain was running all night. I probably should of asked for a fan but it was only a 2 night stay so wasn’t worth it in the end.

The tiles within the bathroom around the bath and shower were a little grubby in areas and the shower head due to scale squirted in every direction other than down.

So that’s the bad bits out the way……… on a good side staff were extremely attentive, George in the bar was extremely helpful and couldn’t do anymore to help us and make us welcome. Also makes a stunning Cosmo.

Restaurant staff again very helpful, food was excellent, opted for the tasting menu on the second evening which was amazing.

Initially the cost of £490 seems like value for money, as the price includes dinner to the value of £49pp with pre dinner cocktail and breakfast, however with just 2 drinks prior to dinner and a bottle of wine with dinner and the upgrade to the tasting menu soon racked up an additional £230 to the stay.

There are limited facilities, no pool, or spar, so other than the grounds for walks There’s no a lot to do, other than travelling to local attractions.

So I’m summary; slightly disappointing with the experience - staff 110% food stunning, would I stay again ?? Probably not.

We were due to get married at Brockencote on 4th May this year but due to Covid we moved it to August. Craig the manager's communication was brilliant through lockdown and made us feel at ease about postponing our wedding. Staci, the wedding planner was amazing too. She talked us through all the details of the day and understood the type of wedding we wanted.

We arrived at Brockencote the day before the wedding and felt immediately relaxed in the tranquil setting. On the wedding morning the room was perfect for getting ready in. Our photographer was really pleased with the light in the room from all of the windows. Staci kept us updated throughout the wedding morning, which was really reassuring.

The socially distanced ceremony went perfectly and all of our guests were really impressed by Brockencote. We had a meal for 5 of us after the ceremony and the food was amazing and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Although our wedding was small we still felt very special. Service from Michael was great and he seemed to magically know when we needed more drinks!

Breakfast the day after the wedding was so special. It was my birthday and there were birthday balloons by our table!

Thank you all the team at Brockencote for making us feel so special on our wedding day. We would highly recommend a wedding at this beautiful venue!

I took my Mother, Daugher and Son for afternoon tea on 18th January 2020 for my Mother's 80th Birthday as a treat. The whole experience was awful. The chairs were very uncomfortable, the table was too small and cramped, the sandwiches were very dry and bland, the slices of cake were very nice, the rest of the food was at best average, for the cost of £30.00 per person, what a rip off! Don't go there for afternoon tea it is not worth the money.

I took my wife there for afternoon tea to celebrate her 60th Birthday. The service was excellent and the tea was lovely, all set in beautiful surroundings. There was plenty to eat and drink and everything was really tasty and excellently presented. If you like to drink tea they have plenty of different options to choose from. We also stayed over for a few nights and loved it. If you want l an experience for that special occasion you will not go wrong with Brockencote Hall.
