We stayed at the Farmhouse for just over a week, and it was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable stays we've had in our twenty years of visits to the U.K. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful Kent countryside, within easy driving distance of places like Dover, Canterbury, Whitstable, Hastings, and others. Neil and Wendy were wonderful hosts, full of local knowledge and helpful tips. Nothing was too much trouble for them to accommodate. The Pheasant Room was plenty spacious and comfortable, with a large bed, good-size HD TV with a decent selection of channels, mini-fridge (restocked nightly with fresh milk for morning tea), coffee/tea facilities, good lighting, spacious stand-up shower, and a small decanter of tasty sherry (also restocked daily). The breakfasts were consistently excellent, whether the full English (served piping hot and perfectly cooked) or something simpler such as porridge, homemade granola, fruit salad or yoghurt. Neil and Wendy made us feel like family, not customers, and we couldn't believe how fast the eight days flew by. Do be aware that you'll need a car; Alkham is easily accessible from the M20/A20 but the last half mile to the Farmhouse is up a narrow single-track road (novice drivers in Britain, just breathe deeply and don't go too fast; you'll be fine). The Farmhouse is perched high on a hillside, which lends it to some gorgeous views (especially sunsets). It feels a bit remote, but that's the reason you escape to the country, no? In short, we loved our time here and would love to make a return visit someday.

...resided here @ Alkham Court Farmhouse B&B for three nights last week. quiet & breathtaking views over the Valley. The Pheasant room was our choice, it didn’t lack for anything. Welcomed by tea, coffee etc. home-made cake, mini fridge, bathrobes/slippers, extremely comfortable bed, exceptionally clean & hygienic accommodation & parking right outside the door! The breakfasts were excellent, my husband dined in the breakfast room, he rated them A1, As I am compromised health wise Wendy & Neil made up a breakfast tray for me to have in bed, what a godsend that was. The granola, compote, smoothie etc all home-made. Wendy & Neil have thought of all the little nuances & made our stay most comfortable, they provided a spreadsheet of things to do in the area, where to eat + others. Thank you to the hosts for making our visit so comfortable we were so appreciative. We would definitely return here again.

It was the best farmhouse experience I had in UK. Rooms are quite big and common spaces are extra ordinary. Hot tub and Sauna room had an amazing view so perfect to relax. Oak room (common area) was perfect for the breakfast with the fireplace.

Just returned from a few days in Kent at Alkham Court Farmhouse. What a wonderful place, so quiet and excellent views over Alkham Valley. We had the Pheasant room which was wonderful and it was equipped with everything one could think of including a mini fridge, cake on arrival and plenty of tea, coffee etc. The breakfasts were superb and so well presented. It's a very interesting area with lots of places to visit and things to do. Thank you Neil and Wendy for making us so welcome - we will definitely return again. Brian and Eileen

It was our first visit to Alkham and Alkham court for a weekend trip. We really loved the place. The view was incredible and our room was super clean. Because our visit was during covid , I was a little concerned, but their covid precautions were well in place. It was really nice to know lovely owners Neil & Wendy, they were really helpful and they made us feel home. I highly recommend Alkham Court for a short break in nature.

Our experience was fantastic from the point of booking to our check out, communication with Wendy was clear and prompt all the way through, I unfortunately ended up checking in quite late but Wendy was great at accommodating, the food was delightful, the breakfast was made with great care and using all fresh local produce. The room was perfect, clean and very welcoming, I'd recommend the Pheasant room to anyone looking to book, when we arrived at night it truly stood out. The property itself is immersed in nature perfectly and this comes across during your stay, a real hidden gem. I'd highly recommend the pack lunch to anyone looking to venture out for a day of exploring and hiking. We were slightly concerned about spending time anywhere during the covid crisis, but every conceivable measure has been taken at Alkham Court Farmhouse to maximise cleanliness and hygiene, sanitisers are available at all entrances , breakfast was staggered with other guest so we would not be in the same room. Overall a truly great experience, I look forward to returning there in the very near future for another stay but hopefully a longer one!

After searching the Web for the cutest shepherds hut stays I came across Alkham Court Farmhouse which has two beautiful huts set on the hills with amazing views, I had to book! We stayed for two nights in Shepherds watch. The hut was beautifully decorated with everything you need, it was so cosy and the decor and homemade cake made us feel at home instantly. The views are stunning, even from the little huts windows. We visited the white cliffs of Dover during our stay which was a lovely addition to the trip, admittedly we couldn't wait to get back to shepherds watch to cosy up around the campfire with marshmallows. We had never been to Alkham before but will be returning such a idyllic place, Thank you!
