#1 of 2 Speciality lodging in Llanilar
We would be delighted to welcome you to our Mid Wales, Super Dog-Friendly, equestrian Bed and Breakfast in the heart of the Ceredigion Countryside. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay and bring your Horse, Dog, Bike or Boots, or just to unwind and relax, we are the place for you. Ael Y Bryn (Brow of the Hill) is a 19th-century farmhouse B&B in 13.5 acres of Welsh pasture, just outside Aberystwyth. It’s a beautiful setting with stunning views and fresh Atlantic air and we would be delighted to share it with you. And your dogs and horses can come too! We have all you would need. A good nights sleep, a wholesome breakfast with fresh local ingredients and a small friendly team of staff who want you to have the best stay possible. Nothing is too much trouble, all you have to do is ask. We offer a range of comfortable rooms with luxury bathrooms (roll top baths with separate shower), secure parking, stabling for up to 7 horses, an all-weather Manège and a heated outdoor swimming pool. All set in 13.5 acres of quality Mid Wales pasture with stunning views over the hills, towards the sea. We are an ideal base to explore the Ceredigion Countryside, the Mid Wales Coastal Path along Cardigan Bay and the Cambrian Mountains. Ceredigion boasts award winning beaches, sandy coves, sea cliff walks, spectacular sunsets and starry dark skies. There are many villages and market towns to explore as well as rolling farmlands, woods, river valleys and easy access to the Cambrian Mountains. Ceredigion is a distinctive Welsh region with a thriving cultural identity. The nearest major town is Aberystwyth (6 miles), a lively university town and seaside resort complete with promenade and pier and an annual programme of cultural and sporting events to rival any destination. If you are on horseback there are bridleways around the property and a selection of excellent routes, a short distance by horsebox, for a full day of riding. And they are well worth the effort. The nearest, and most picturesque is only 11 minutes away. The Ystwyth Trail is a Circular route and a full day ride of 21 miles with options for shorter routes. We would recommend this for cyclists too. Click Here for more details. We can provide pack lunches, maps and a hot flask on request. For walkers and those with dogs, this part of Mid Wales will not disappoint. The Mid Wales Coastal path is a short distance away and there are many valley and river walks as well as dog friendly beaches. If you want to stop for a bite to eat, there are many dog friendly pubs, cafes and restaurants for you to choose from. So book now for your perfect country break and we will do our very best to ensure you are well looked after. See you soon! John & Rob

Just returned from a couple of days spent here. Wonderful welcome from Rob, John and Ferguy - nothing was too much trouble. Room clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Ideal accommodation for us and Benji. We enjoyed meeting the animals. Good location for exploring Aberystwyth and the surrounding countryside.

Once again we have had a fabulous few days at this fantastic B&B. Nothing is too much trouble for Rob and John and of course Furguy. The rooms are spotlessly clean and so comfortable, and the bathroom is to die for. Tried a different room this time and once again, nothing disappointed. Breakfast was plentiful and first class. Will be returning very soon.

We have had a lovely couple of days at this delightful B&B near Aberystwyth. Dog friendly in every way, even a doggie host to keep our dog company. Breakfast was huge and well cooked, gluten free no problem. Well placed for the coast and for evening meals.
