Our stay was in our hired motorhome. Clean site with waste bins at each power connect. Simple but clean wash facilities. Free wifi and access to the thermal pools, which unfortunately we did not have time to visit. We did find an excellent local bar with pool tables and a pub good menu.

Arrived to check in and the lady near reception came over and placed a piece of paper in front of me with my details to sign. The only words spoken were 'you can park around the back'. Stayed three nights and second day the room wasn't serviced. This motel is generally unstaffed, and it is necessary to call a nearby...

Arrived and waited in reception and called out repeatedly. No buzzer, no phone and no bell. Eventually someone appeared. Settled in , used info book as advised and found only two places to eat locally. Unsure of exact location so back to reception. This time no appearance at all!! So headed off to locations as advised in book in room....

We arrived early and after reading some reviews I was unsure of our reception. I should not have worried. The staff are absolutely fantastic. I only wish I had booked a downstairs unit with a spa pool. Carrying suitcases up stairs is a struggle. But once inside the unit cannot be faulted. The balcony was a real little sun trap...

Amazing get away for a Sunday stay. Not the greatest welcoming @ reception but what the hack we pretty much had the place to ourselves and had no other problems. The outside spa can be a little noisy for the neighbours specially if your planning to stay in the spa later @ night. Best decision we made booking for a...

We received poor service before we even made our booking. My girlfriend called to get information for a 2-night stay before booking and the lady on the other end was rude and had poor phone manner. When we arrived, the reception was unattended, with a sign saying to drive a couple blocks to a different motel to sign papers and...

As part of our Far North road trip we stayed at Parakai Springs. We were a bit early arriving but extremely tired after a series of night flights and no sleep for over 24 hours. On arrival that wasn't a problem and our room was prepared quickly so we could rest. The spa pool was also prepared for us to...

I had to visit family in the region and when I tried to find acceptable accommodation this was the only place that met my requirements. There are many place to say within this region but none that I found were as clean and tidy as Parakai Springs lodge. I hired two rooms when I visited, and nicely enough they managed...

Finally worked out which 'Springs' apartments we were staying in. Looked lovely from the outside just couldn't find how to get in! Finally someone left by car and the electric gates slid open. Walked around and could find nobody. Reception notice on window recommends keys from Motel. Best to tell the guest before they arrive or put the notice outside!...

It's a lovely easy drive from central Auckland, easy to find though you have to pick and drop keys off at another location which wasn't attended at checkout time. The room was very clean, the kitchen has cutlery for 2 people, the spa was sooo amazing, though noisy in the night. The roadside location didn't bother us at all, my...
